I began building my dentolegal knowledge, expertise and experience in 2000 when I joined Dental Protection as a local adviser. I then progressed to a Dentolegal adviser, Senior Dentolegal Adviser, and Head of Dental Protection Services for Ireland. I also became the international and UK Complaint knowledge expert. Over the years I have achieved a Master’s Degree in Medical Law, a Fellowship from the Faculty of General Dental Practice, a Fellowship from the Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine, and I am also an NLP Master. In the course of my work as an Independent Dentolegal Consultant I lecture widely, publish articles and contribute to e-learning initiatives, as well as working with individual dentists, dental teams, and dental organisations. As well as being a professional speaker, I share my expertise with a number of working groups. People often say that what resonates with them is that I communicate complex issues in an understandable way, and I share risk management information with passion and enthusiasm.
