STREETWORK’S MISSION STREETWORK BELIEVES THAT VULNERABLE YOUNG PEOPLE SHOULD HAVE THE SAME OPPORTUNITIES AS THEIR PEERS - TO GROW AND ACHIEVE THEIR DREAMS AND, TO DEVELOP AS A PERSON WITH HIGH SELF-ESTEEM Streetwork provides one-on-one mentoring to at-risk 11-18-year-olds, so that they are supported to break their cycle of destructive influences and behaviours, and turn their lives around. Our goals-based mentoring program and the support we receive from our dedicated supporters and volunteers are critical to our success. Streetwork’s Youth Case Management Early intervention and prevention, goal setting and, mentoring are StreetWork’s key focus areas. However, in order for us to successfully address the damaging influences and risk-taking behaviors impacting our young people’s safety, we also work with external, specialist youth services. These services include psychologists specialising in youth mental health and homeless shelters, purpose-built to provide a safe haven from domestic violence. Streetwork’s case management approach enables us to build a community of holistic support, to ensure lasting change and, improved life skills.

We specialise in the training of New Road and Street Work Operatives, Supervisors and their reassessment. Our objectives are to meet the legal requirements of all operatives involved in excavation and reinstatement of the highway and to ensure they achieve the necessary qualification from the City and Guilds, the awarding body leading to S.W.Q.R. registration. Wise Training has been involved in the street work and construction industry since 2001, covering all aspects of this work in the public and private sectors. We are based in Melton, Hull; however, we have venues in various other locations throughout the country, including Dudley, Gateshead, Liverpool (3 locations), Nottingham, Barnsley and Tees Valley. Mobile assessment for Operative and Supervisor full courses can be carried out at a client’s location as long as it meets the requirements of the awarding body.
