Birmingham Printmakers are an artist-led, membership organisation providing printmaking facilities for our members. We are a not-for-profit limited company, company number 10351520 We provide access to our workshop at the Jubilee Centre in Birmingham City Centre, so that people can make prints, develop their artistic practice and explore the art of printmaking. Our facilities include a dark room and equipment for intaglio and relief printing, screen printing, lithography and letterpress printing.

We met at Norwich School of Art in the 1970’s where we trained in graphic design when cut & paste was simply that - we used paper, pencils and pens to create our ideas. Though the years have passed, and technology now plays a greater role in our lives, we’re still as excited by art and design as we were then. Now based in a quiet corner of Suffolk, close to the coast, our work has taken two distinct paths – Jane creates unique textile brooches & artworks using free-machine embroidery, whilst Edwin hand prints letterpress posters and cards using vintage type and printing presses. As designers, we have always been drawn to create things, our work can be found in local shops and galleries. We also enjoy meeting our customers face to face at creative fairs and makers markets. The Arienas Collective is a creative workshop hub based in a beautiful, Georgian mews home in Edinburgh's historic New Town. The Collective was set up to help local artists and makers earn a living through sharing their creative skills and passions with others. Its name comes from Loch Arienas, a beautiful and remote spot in the Morvern area of the Scottish Highlands. We believe that engaging in creative activity is good for our health and wellbeing. Our workshops suit beginners, returners and those who want to challenge their own creative practice. Group sizes are kept small, so that our artists and makers can give you the help and support you need to get the most from your experience. Join us to release your inner creative and you will leave having learned new skills, made new friends, and with a finished piece we hope you will feel proud of. We look forward to welcoming you to our home.
