Mindful Sparks is an education company dedicated to integrating meaningful mindfulness practices into the lives of students, teachers, schools, and communities. We offer a range of training programs, workshops, and community events designed to foster self-awareness, connection, and compassion. We provide comprehensive and CPD accredited training to entire school staff bodies, as well as specialized programs tailored to specific key stages and foci. Additionally, we offer independent trainings for individual teachers, held on weekends and during holidays, and frequently organize community events for families. What sets Mindful Sparks apart is that our team of experienced and qualified mindfulness trainers and educators maintain teaching positions alongside our work at Mindful Sparks, allowing us to stay connected to classrooms and have firsthand knowledge of the needs of students, teachers, and schools. Since our inception in 2019, Mindful Sparks has achieved significant milestones. We have developed over 10 teacher training programs and workshops, along with 3 mindfulness curriculums for students aged 4 to 16. Our reach extends to five countries, including Thailand, Singapore, China, Canada, and America, where we have worked with more than 250 teachers. At Mindful Sparks, our vision is to lead the way in creating safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environments worldwide. We aspire to make mindfulness a mainstream practice that supports the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of all members of the school community. The Primary Care and Community Neurology Society which is also the Person-Centred Neurosciences Society is a growing organisation of likeminded healthcare professionals, and partnering organisations including companies and charities who all share a desire to drive up the standard of services to improve neurology care across primary care and the wider neurology community P-CNS has become the leading voice to support the connecting up of neurology care between Primary Care and the wider neurology community, which includes both heath professionals and non health professionals living with neurological conditions. Our Vision The P-CNS’s vision, which acknowledges the significance of learning through lived experiences, is to provide sustainable, consistent, and high-quality care and education services that consider and support the individual needs of the person so they can live well in the community with suspected or confirmed neurological conditions. Our Mission The P-CNS’s mission is to: To support our vision we believe our mission is to encourage and: Empower patients, practitioners, and industry partners by promoting engagement in an active community where all voices matter. Support the co-creation, provision, and signposting of high-quality education and information services to enhance the delivery of care to people with neurological conditions. Stimulate and develop inclusive and meaningful communication amongst all members of the neurology community. OIBC was launched in 1992 in order to improve health and the quality of life across the globe by promoting access to learning and research. Its maxim at that time was cooperation: cooperation between developed and developing countries; cooperation between academic and industrial institutions; cooperation between scientists, medical doctors and the public. Since then, other organisations have stepped in to promote one of our original aspirations, namely better cooperation between universities and industrial institutions. But the other aspirations remain, and over the last decade we have focussed particularly on youngsters in so far as better communication between scientists, medical doctors and the public is concerned. So now, our current strategy may be summarised as follows. VISION OIBC’s vision is of a world in which wider access to scientific learning brings better health and quality of life. PURPOSE OIBC’s purpose is to realise our vision through educational projects for all generations and especially for the young through building greater understanding of scientific and biomedical issues, MISSION OIBC’s mission is to bring together leading biomedical experts with all schools and lay adults, via live and recorded seminars, lectures and debates, to promote better communication skills and awareness and to create opportunities for all to appreciate science and biomedical issues. VALUES OIBC values its independence, its non-political, charitable status and its expert scientific leadership.
