A standalone 10 week/session course that will introduce you to the basic materials, tools, equipment and techniques used in paper crafting and mixed media work and to Craft4Smiles C.I.C and our tutors. You will be sent all the materials and equipment needed to complete the course. At the end of each lesson you will have a crafted item to take away to keep or show family and friends. You will be told about the other courses you offer so that you can make an informed choice about further learning.

This video course will prepare you to take and pass the CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+) certification (FC0-U61) exam confidently by helping you get to grips with all the major domains covered in the certification and enabling you to develop the skills required to set up, configure, and secure desktop PC, mobile, and networking devices.

UNDERSTAND TO TO WORK WITH AND MANIPULATE LEATHER TO CONSTRUCT REFINED LEATHER GOODS This is the second module of a series designed to provide thorough, professional training in leatherworking and accessory making. Each module has been carefully designed to equip individuals with key skills for starting a career in this sector, broadening their industry knowledge, or embarking on their own journey with solid foundational skills. During this lesson, you will learn how to manipulate leather to create specific shapes, constructions, and finishing types. You will work with different kinds of leather, tools, and reinforcements to achieve specific volumes, shapes, and structures. You will gain an understanding of the technical aspects of finishing edges, such as folding, burnishing, inking, creasing, and more. This module covers some of the most challenging aspects of working with leather and provides you with a strong foundation for making informed choices in developing your projects. You will also receive valuable handouts, curated lists of leather and tool suppliers for ongoing reference, and create personalised samples for your own reference. Mandalas, in essence, can be understood to be diagrams, patterns and pictures that are distillations of cosmic wisdom and harmony; repositories of archetypal intelligence. Mandalas offer a potentially powerful means of deepening one’s spiritual and contemplative practice. This is especially true when they are constructed - using the traditional tools of compass and straightedge - in a considered and contemplative manner. During this week-long course, Daniel Docherty will guide participants through the construction of a number of mandalas from different traditions including mandalas that embody significant planetary patterns. We will explore their inherent symbolism and cosmic correspondences. Participants will also make their our own inks and paints from plant and mineral in order to colour and ensoul their designs. 

The Computer Maintenance & Repair Technician course aims to enable participants to diagnose and repair system level faults in computer-based systems at the foundation level.

Learn how to explore different inks, papers and objects to print onto. Play with colour and pattern until you're satisfied with the results.
