With over 18 years experience in teaching First Aid, we provide excellent First Aid Training. We offer a variety of training courses, 3 Day First Aid at Work, 2 Day Refresher Course, 6 Hour Emergency First Aid at Work (Replaced Appointed persons Certified), Refresher 3 hour as recomended by the HSE. If you would prefer to have a First Aid at Work training course on your premises, (for up to 12 persons) and you can provide a training area to HSE standards, a special concessionary rate applies. We also have many other types of courses available Please call us for more details. Training Director. Derek Ross I have been Training and Assessing First Aid for 17 years now working with the Army Cadet Force in which I still belong to the Castle Douglas Detachment as a Sergeant Major and currently in charge of all matters first aid related in the south west of Scotland area. I also assist the local Duke of Edinburgh's Award Groups as I also have for the last 15 years. I managed to gain my Gold Award. I have been qualified as a Trainer Assessor and have gained valuable hands on experience working within a medical centre for the past few years with some highly skilled personnel. I have worked within the Healthcare industry for the past 18 years also gaining much needed experience on day to day illness and how it affects a person also the necessary treatment that they would require at the time of illness or injury.

Professional but Personal...Steve has been a passionate SCUBA diver since completing his PADI Open Water course with Fins Watersports, Hull in 1996, predominantly diving UK waters for the next 8 years. In 2004 Steve was posted to Cyprus with the British Army where he completed his PADI Advanced Open Water course with Alpha Divers, Larnaca. Whilst based in Cyprus Steve owned his own boat and extensively explored and dived the coastline of Eastern Cyprus and fell in love with the MS Zenobia Shipwreck. Steve qualified as a PADI Rescue Diver with Seastyle Divers, Worcester in 2011 and decided at this point that he wanted to become a PADI professional. Prior to retiring from the Military in January 2017, following an extremely eclectic 22-year career. Steve completed his PADI Open Water SCUBA Instructors course with Coral Bay Divers, Paphos in September 2016. Following retirement from the Military Steve then spent the summer season of 2017 as an Instructor for Coral Bay Divers and qualified as a Master SCUBA Diver Trainer in September 2017.

Without treatment, people with SCD may die in childhood but, even with treatment, it can still cause serious or life-threatening problems. Sherry firmly believes that the more people train, the better it is for individuals, families, workplaces, communities, healthcare and the social care sector. As there is a known chain reaction that happens when health or safety incidents strike – it affects everyone!
