Our goal at Edinburgh University Cricket Club is to promote a passion for the game within the university and the wider community. We are a large and inclusive club of seven teams (four men’s, two women’s and a social XI) and compete in both indoor and outdoor competitions. We offer a diverse winter and busy summer schedule to suit any level of ability or commitment. We train three times a week, with specialist coaching available from Joe Kinghorn-Gray, Craig Yelverton and Aashiq Rhode. Our elite indoor squads have extra sessions to maintain our prowess in National Finals. Our Semester One Varsity Day, with both men’s and women’s matches against St Andrews, is always a day to remember that everyone gets involved in. We have a vibrant social scene, with socials and events throughout the semester, giving squads the chance to mix and friendships to blossom. Our annual Casino Night and Ball are some of the biggest nights of the year, and are a chance to dress up in the name of charity. There is also the opportunity to participate in various intramural sports, such as football, netball and hockey, if one sport isn’t enough for you! Our men’s and women’s 1st XI squads play at the highest standard in the BUCS Northern Premier divisions, while the rest of our squads play throughout Scotland. 2022 saw the exciting addition of a women’s 2nd XI and a Social XI, making our club even bigger and better than ever! Who are we? It is the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK)'s purpose to enhance communities, so everyone can enjoy being in, on and around water, safely; because every life is worth saving. Our work is vital in every city, town, community and home. RLSS UK has a proud history of helping to save the number of lives lost to drowning. Our mission is to be the leader in lifesaving and lifeguarding in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Sharing, our expertise and knowledge with as many people as possible, giving everyone the potential to save lives and enjoy water, safely. Here, at the RLSS UK, we have an impressive heritage. We have built up years of experience and, we are honoured, to boast a strong force of loyal members and volunteers who work with us to promote water safety and educate in life saving skills. Our roots were established back in 1891 as the Life Saving Society, and, in the early 1900s, with support from the Royal Family, we were granted permission to adopt the ‘Royal’ to our title – a badge that we are still immensely proud of today. We have used our extensive, world-leading knowledge of water safety and training to develop a comprehensive range of vocational qualifications and a series of awards and education programmes which all have the ultimate aim of preventing drowning and stopping unnecessary loss of life. Our portfolio includes the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) - the premier lifeguard training programme.

About Us The Heart of Hove Meeting Rooms - Designed to be inclusive not exclusive Welcome. This website is all about both the bright and lovely meeting rooms available for hire, and also the events that we will put on at these rooms. All our events are intended to try and help people to escape the ordinary and inspire them to create an even better life for themselves. We will be hosting a wide variety of different events from motivational workshops, to discovering a new hobby, to business brainstorming and everything in between! There is so much hardship, anxiety and loneliness in the world that where possible we would love to make a difference. All workshops are kept small to try and foster a feeling of security and closeness between our attendees. A lot of the groups will be regular ones where people can get to know each other and build a sense of community. In addition to our workshops we will also put on various charity events to help those in need, the first one being a support group for Ukrainian people locally. All the events are actual get togethers rather than online because there really is nothing quite like being physically in a room together to help develop trust, bonds and friendships. If you feel shy or nervous no problem at all. There’s no obligation to say anything unless or until you feel ready. If you feel nervous about coming in then just let me know and I will walk in with you.

Wildcats Theatre School is a theatre school based in Stamford with classes across the South Lincolnshire, Rutland and Peterborough areas. The school offers part time classes to those aged 2-16, children's parties and entertainment and a full programme of educational holiday activities. The school have excellent pass rates in LAMDA (London Academy for Music and Dramatic Arts) Musical Theatre and Acting examinations. At Wildcats ‘Every child is an individual’ - with an emphasis on building confidence and self esteem as well as performing arts skills. Wildcats holds ‘Recognised School Status’ with CDET ‘Council for Dance Education and Training’ and has won numerous awards in the local community. Wildcats is all about having fun, making friends, developing confidence and being part of an amazing team of children, young people and adults who are part of the school. Our students come from every possible performing arts background - whilst some have experience on the stage, others have enjoyed singing, dance or drama at home - but for some, it is their first taste of the world of performing arts. Whatever a child's ability or experience they are welcome at Wildcats - we will work with each individual child to develop and achieve their own potential. We also welcome children who are looking for new ways to help increase confidence in school and everyday life. I’m Julia and was born & raised in Berlin Germany and have moved to Liverpool to give singing lessons and to be part of the wonderful music community here. I am a singer, songwriter and highly qualified singer teacher & vocal coach and have a long teaching experience with teenagers and adults at music schools and in private singing lessons. I've been teaching singing for nearly 15 years, both privately and at music schools, and I'm regularly internationally on stage myself with my own music as a solo singer, or with other artists as a backing vocalist. I also work as a studio singer, composer, and conductor of choirs. I studied music education for vocals pop rock jazz at the University of the Art Bremen ('Hochschule für Künste', Bremen, Germany) and do regular training to apply and teach the latest vocal techniques. My last trainings were Complete Vocal Technique, Circle Singing and Inclusion Oriented Circus and Movement Education. Being an active singer and songwriter enriches my teaching, because I can teach you not only the techniques you need on stage, in the studio or when writing songs, but I can share my enthusiasm and love for the music with you. I have successfully prepared many singing students for auditions and competitions and helped them to win first prizes. Also, I've helped many students to pass the entrance exams at Colleges and University to study music. I have taught singers of all ages and levels - beginners, advanced or even professionals who just need support for a tour, a recording session or a specific concert.

In her 91st year Beth Chatto set up the Education Trust to develop educational opportunities through The Garden for everyone. The aim of the Trust is to inspire, educate, and to promote enjoyment and wellbeing for all through gardens and the outdoor environment. Established in 2015 Beth Chatto Education Trust has developed a varied annual programme of courses, workshops, projects and activities for adults, children and community groups. The programme consists of firm favourites that are retained each year and new courses that keep the programme current and interesting. There is something to suit everyone whether you are an experienced horticulturalist or a novice keen to try your hand at something new. We offer RHS Theory qualifications, practical gardening courses, one-day creative workshops, lectures, school visits, Forest school and children’s holiday garden activities. These can run for a morning, a day, termly or up to two years for the RHS qualifications. The Beth Chatto Education Trust aims to facilitate people to access the outdoors, enjoy learning in our gardens and connect with the environment to enhance wellbeing. Many of our courses are based in the Beth Chatto Gardens in our purpose-built education building, the 'Willow Room'. In addition to the formal gardens, we also have a separate ‘wild garden’ which we use with children and for hands-on practical learning. Courses and events can be found and booked on our website.
