My Name is Monika Bammi and I am the proud owner of this business. Since I was a child I have always had a passion for helping people, I would help the kids in the street and elderly people where I lived and then when I grew up and married I studied and practised Reiki on people with the hope and prayer that the Universe would work its unimaginable power through me for the good of all. I studied reiki in India as well as in the U.K. over twenty years ago. Fast forward to present day and I’m now in a profession that does exactly what I have always hoped for. I have been blessed with the opportunity to pass on the healing and my life experience in helping others, to overcome their problems and issues and find the work-life balance that we have been searching for years. My Reiki and healing centre is based in Saks within the David Lloyd leisure centre in Moortown, Leeds. I am glad to say I have had many glowing referrals from people who have benefitted from this mysterious healing. I have had clients both rich and famous (no names) and I have had non-believers, all have felt the benefits and it has gone on to change their lives for the better. As well as Reiki, I do other treatments such as Life Coaching, NLP, Hopi Ear candles, Massage, Reflexology, Indian head massage. A Bespoke Course The course is exclusively aimed at learners with Education, Health and Care Plans. 1 Year Programme The programme will run for 15 hours a week over 3 days and transitions young people into further education or prepares them for the workplace. A Range of Modules The mandatory modules include progression routes which focus on preparing for further study or employment. There is an extensive range of optional modules should a person want to expand their knowledge in a specific area. Functional Skills We offer separate qualifications in both Maths and English ranging from Entry Level 1 up to Level 2. The qualification helps to prepare people for further learning or develop their knowledge and skills in a work-related subject. Functional Skills English and Maths qualifications included where needed, levels from Entry 1 to Level 2. Bespoke course delivered within a small group setting based on preparing to transition for the following academic year. Units can be studied at different levels to support spiky profiles, work-related units in Animal Care, Business and Administration, Catering, Charity and Voluntary sector, Cleaning, Construction, Creative Skills, Customer Service/Contact Centres, Hair and Beauty, IT, Motor Vehicle Maintenance, Retail, Sport and Leisure. Therapy Services – Symbol has one of the largest teams of Speech and Language Therapists in the UK offering specialist assessment, intervention, training and consultancy for children and adults with special needs. In addition, Symbol also employs Social Workers, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Behavioural Therapists and Nurses in its Family Assessment Services. Symbol is increasingly deploying expertise from these valuable in-house therapeutic resources across all its activities giving Symbol a unique offer to the people who use and buy its services. Family Assessment Centre & Community Support – Symbol operates up to 10 places for parents with learning disabilities undertaking a parenting assessment and intervention service (Commissioned by the Family Law Courts and Local Authority Children’s Services) and provides 9 families with longer-term specialist parenting support in the community post-assessment. Day Opportunities (The Hopyard Services) – Symbol supports 54 people with learning disabilities in a range of meaningful activities to promote skills in work, learning and leisure operating out of 2 separate sites in Kent. Supported Living – Symbol currently supports 50 people with learning disabilities living in 15 different ordinary houses where they live as tenants. This service is growing rapidly in response to local demand. Short Breaks/Respite Care – Symbol is working with 35 young people and adults providing regular short breaks. The demand for this service is also growing. We have the facility to support up to 13 people at any one time. Community Support – Symbol supports 8 people living in their own homes on a peripatetic basis.

Qualifications I am a Level 3 First Aid & Defibrillation Instructor. I also have a Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF) and can teach the full range of Ofqual (The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation) regulated Level 2 and Level 3 Awards in a range of First Aid qualifications. My Background I have worked for over 10 years in the leisure industry as a lifeguard, duty manager and swimming teacher. Between 2009 and 2011 I lived in New Zealand and worked as a team building instructor running educational school programmes and corporate days. I instructed climbing, archery and many other activities. I also designed educational climbing programmes promoting road safety that I delivered in schools working along side the New Zealand Police and Ambulance Services. In 2012 I joined Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service and work as a retained firefighter in Okehampton. I have gained many qualifications and experiences with this role and am trained as a casualty carer. It was 2015 when I gained a first aid instructor's qualification. I wanted to run courses locally and make them accessible for businesses and individuals. I am passionate about training and promoting the need for first aid at work and within communities. I am a practical person and endeavour to make my courses as interactive and hands on as possible. In 2017 I helped form a new charity to equip Okehampton with 8 Public Access Defibrillators. Oke PADs is an organisation that will maintain and provide training free of charge to the community.

In this gallery visitors can learn about the Linlithgow Marches, sports and leisure, politics, education and so much more. Key objects include Tam Dalyell's typewriter, our Waldie digital interactive and the hugely impressive Scotch Brigade banners. Our flexible space for activities, talks and film screenings. Check out what’s on. The space is available for use by local groups and currently featuring a display of historic costumed dolls, and an exhibition celebrating 200 years of the Union Canal. Our dedicated team of volunteers have played a critical role in delivering an ambitious activity plan. Since moving to Tam Dalyell House, volunteers have contributed over 4,000 hours of their time. They have researched, documented, conserved and photographed the collection, conducted oral history interviews, taken part in archaeology digs, planned school sessions and developed activities for young people. We've run an animation project with St Josephs and Low Port Primary Schools. Bridgend Primary co-curated our first community exhibition. Springfield, Linlithgow and Linlithgow Bridge Primary Schools have delivered drama and song writing performances in the museum. We’ve delivered reminiscence, oral history programmes, community film showings and much, much more. ABOUT US Multiflex School Sports was originally started in 1989 by athletics coaches Tom Davies and Ron Newton. The original company name was T & R Sports Development. T & R Sports Development were given financial backing by ICI and later Astra Zeneca to deliver a sporting programme to Primary schools and High Schools to enthuse young children about sport. This programme used high achievers in sport such as Great Britain international athletes and professional Basketball players to deliver a programme that not only developed fitness and skill levels of young children but increased their enjoyment of sport and gave them a route into sports clubs outside of the school environment. Following the success of this programme Multiflex Sports was formed and went on to continue this sporting programme with local authorities and also Sports-hall athletics and Eveque sport and leisure. In 2005 the government introduced P.P.A. (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) to all UK Primary Schools. This meant that all teachers would then be allocated 2 hours a week away from their class timetable to make use of their PPA time effectively. Coincidently 2 hours a week is also the amount of time each child should receive P.E. lessons for so Multiflex altered their business model to provide PPA cover for schools in and around Cheshire. Mark Webb who is the Managing director of Multiflex realised there was an opportunity to provide high quality P.E. lessons in line with the National curriculum guidance on a weekly basis, whilst also providing support for schools and teachers through PPA cover. Multiflex developed a P.E. scheme for Primary schools that covered 6 areas of sport in line with the curriculum. Southend Adult Community College (SACC) is Southend Borough Council’s provider of adult education, providing education and training to more than 5,000 learners. SACC provides 100s of part-time leisure courses, English, maths, employability courses, traineeships, vocational qualifications, CPD and industry specific training for adults and for young people 16+ apprenticeships and full-time vocational programmes. SACC provides community outreach provision and family learning in local community venues and employee training and assessment on employer premises. SACC has three activity centres, its main Southchurch Centre, an adult centre at Belfairs Academy in Leigh and a specialist centre for young adults with complex and profound learning difficulties and disabilities in Westcliff. At our last Ofsted inspection, SACC was judged for the second time as a good college with outstanding features. Key findings are: • success rates have improved over the last few years and many are well above national rates • learners develop good practical, vocational and employability skills. They make good progress in developing these skills • learners on study programmes do well. The college has made a significant contribution to reducing the number of young people in the borough who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) • staff are particularly effective at finding good work placements for learners on employability programmes. These placements relate directly to learners’ aims and provide good workplace experience • teachers use their professional skills and knowledge well to help learners relate their studies to the world of work and gain employment or promotion • staff, at all levels, create good partnerships with a range of agencies.
