10 years ago I started a development journey, trying out all sorts of approaches to move myself forward. It was in coaching that I truly experienced transformation. This led to me doubling my income, improving my health and being equipped with more self awareness and tools to navigate my life better with a stronger mindset which opened up further opportunities. My eclectic career background includes anatomy, research, naturopathic nutrition, living in Japan, charity work, automotive industry, banking, customer service, support, sales, cloud change management and most recently leadership in IT. It’s in my IT career that mentoring and coaching became more formalised as part of my every day role. Having done Michael Bungay Stanier’s, “The Coaching Habit” training at Microsoft, I went on to study transformational coaching at international coach school, Animas. Outside of coaching, I love health and wellness activities, painting, travel, and hiking. I am interested in what makes us who we are and what is truth.

For over 35 years, Hackney City Farm has been giving the local community the opportunity to experience farming right in the heart of the city. We offer children and adults the chance to get up close to a range of farmyard animals; see, smell and plant vegetables and other food plants; and learn new skills. As a city farm in London, we are dedicated to helping people learn about food, nature and the environment. Our unique setting inspires children and adults to participate in our courses, workshops and lessons and leave with new knowledge, friendships and inspiration. We receive about 3 school visits a week – school groups, like everyone else can visit for free! We offer specific workshops designed to take learning a step further, such as Growing Food, Habitats – Mini-beasts and Chicken and Egg. We are also home to a unique school for up to ten young people (age 13-17) who require a tailor-made approach to their education. Our curriculum is based around basic skills, practical and vocational learning, PHSE and one-to-one or group mentoring.

Inova has been running since 2001 and provides consultancy services, training and coaching programmes in the areas of entrepreneurship, employability, career development and wellbeing, with a focus on diversity and equal opportunities. It was while on the road as a Marketing Manager for consumer brands such as Pizza Hut, Jammie Dodgers and Jacob’s Creek that, in 2005, Dee Clayton had a life-changing car accident in which she suffered significant injuries. Dee was keen to get something positive out of a negative situation, so she employed a life coach to help with her recovery and set her on the path to a more fulfilled future. This life coach used the Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) process, which fascinated Dee from the start. Inspired by this experience, Dee founded Simply Amazing Training in 2007. Her goal was to help professionals like herself to achieve public speaking success. But it wasn’t just about teaching them the practical skills they needed to increase their self-confidence, but crucially (and unlike most other trainers), working on their mindset too. Dee wanted to draw out delegates’ inner confidence, so they felt worthy of speaking up and being heard. Her aim was to bring out the very best in people. In the early days, she spent every spare moment learning to become a Master Practitioner and Trainer of NLP, and later became a licensed Insights Discovery and Motivational Maps Practitioner.
