Alex O'Hara's Quilts offers One to One Tuition in Patchwork and Quilting in the comfort of your own home. We work at your pace allowing you to fully understand techniques and practice them until you feel fully confident. I can teach you a large range of skills from cutting accurately with a rotary cutter, sewing a straight line, (harder than it sounds) Applique, English paper piecing, following a patchwork pattern, putting a quilt together and free motion quilting. What you learn is up to you. I usually work in 3 hour sessions as there is a lot to take in and practice.

Hi I'm Jo Westfoot, the owner of The Crafty Nomad. The Crafty Nomad offers online education to quilters on many areas of patchwork and quilting. Our mission is to help quilters gain in confidence, gain new skills and get better results and more satisfaction with their makes. All of our classes are pre-recorded so you can learn when it's convenient to you.  Some classes and our membership have Live Zoom sessions with me to clarify learning. Creative Quilting was founded back in 1989. Starting with about 5 bolts of brown fabrics, things have somewhat changed a bit... We now stock about 2,000 bolts of fabrics. We have a wide selection of books, notions and all sorts of tempting goodies to make quilts and other projects. We love making it easier for customers to select fabrics and, as a result, we regularly put together our own selections of precut packs (cut straight not pinked) which are available in the shop, on the website and through our dedicated fabric clubs – check out the Fabric Clubs page on the left. We also stock knitting and crochet yarn and needles, buttons, wool felt and ribbons. All members of staff do know which end of a needle to thread and, even if we are not all professional quilters, we always do our best to help you achieve the quilt of your dreams.

Hi I'm Hannah and have been quilting for nearly 10 years. I learnt to sew after my 3rd child was born whilst we lived overseas and I was looking for a creative outlet. I discovered Patchwork and Quilting and soon fell in love with the process, enjoying everything about making a quilt from start to finish. I now share that love with others in the hope they too may discover a new passion.  The Stitch and Run home Studio is located in Totley, Sheffield on the edge of the beautiful Peak District. I run 1:1 sessions in beginner Patchwork and Quilting and small classes of 3/4

Hi, In case we haven't met, I'm Jen and I run workshops and courses in needle and thread.  I've been stitching since a very young age and I'm City and Guilds qualified in patchwork and embroidery. I'm passionate about sewing and textiles and am constantly experimenting with new techniques and designs.  All of my workshops/courses take place in my purpose-built garden studio in the pretty Gloucestershire village of Clearwell.  Classes are offered with a maximum of 4 attendees for machine-based workshops and 6 for hand stitched workshops to ensure a fun and relaxed day, with plenty of 1-2-1 support.   I also offer private tuition so please do get in touch if you would like something that you don't see offered here.  Happy stitching 😊

I set up cheekyhandmades after I left my job 2010. I really wanted to use all my creative skills, skills I’d had for many years but never had time to use any more, and skills I realised I could and wanted to pass on. I also wanted to work for myself, I wanted to be able to work around my children. And I am doing all of that now, and am loving it. I get to be surrounded by like minded people, great fabrics, my kids and cats, and listen to music all day. I get to decide what I do every day and how I do it.
