Work opportunities at Area 43 (Cardigan Youth Project). A charity, which runs a Drop-in Centre in Cardigan, providing information, support & training to young people aged 16-25 & counselling services to those aged 10-30. Developing and providing a broad range of support services for young people, our aims are to: Enable children and young people to develop self-esteem and a positive approach to their lives and their place in society. To encourage them to participate in learning experiences and decision-making processes that impact their lives and their communities. Address and combat the problems they face in their home circumstances, relationships, social and life experiences, paying particular attention to those challenged by homelessness, unemployment, substance/alcohol misuse, criminality and discrimination. We are especially interested in working with those who are socially, educationally, economically or geographically disadvantaged or have any sort of disability. ADA’s water level and flood risk management community is built upon the interaction and connections made between our members. Smart Assessor is an electronic collection of a learner’s skills and knowledge, which is assessed by their Development Coach against a training standard or qualification and replaces paper portfolios. Perfect for apprentices, work based learners, classroom students and anyone undertaking training, as you can replace paper evidence with videos, photos and voice recordings as evidence of competence and the portfolio is always available, both offline and securely on the web. Assessors and Development Coaches can track learner progress dynamically to achieve timely completions. The teaching and learning resources are made up of tutorials, videos, good practice examples, presentations, multimedia activities, activity sheets and reading. Everything you need for your course is in one place and you can upload your work to your online portfolio to be marked by your Development Coach. Your Development Coach will be in contact with you every week and in most cases the contact time with your Development Coach is greater than going to college. We provide a lending service of good quality educational resources to Early Learning & Childcare professionals and Peep practitioners in Midlothian. Our resources aim to support all areas of a child’s development and offer broader learning through play experiences. Educational Resource Centre We offer a wide range of exciting resources supporting creative learning through; Music & Dance, Small World, Loose Parts, Literacy & Numeracy and much more. In addition our Exploration and Discovery Resources boxes support and extend many interests. I am a mindfulness and yoga teacher with over 15 years’ experience working in facilitation, personal development, training design and delivery, coaching and wellbeing. I teach yoga, mindfulness and stress management techniques to help people thrive, especially when life is complex and demanding. My passion is helping people live happy and fulfilling lives, do what they love, and make a difference in the world. We all face challenges in a fast-paced world. I work to create moments of stillness and connection that allow you space to breathe and just be. From this place you are free to think clearly and get your life working in the way you want. Whether working with individuals, groups or corporate clients, compassion is at the heart of what I do. I believe that self-care can be a radical act that transforms our relationship to the world and our place within it, through nurture, rest and deep healing. I know that profound change can happen kindly, through thoughtful enquiry and values-based action. My work is grounded in the integrity of many years of personal practice, study and experience. This in turn supports the values-driven foundation for my work in social and educational inclusion, with a particular focus on equality and inclusion in higher education. I also have experience in facilitating learning across a wide range of settings including schools, universities and workplaces. Picture My current interests are positive psychology; mindfulness based approaches; stress and resilience; creativity; nature connection; and the power of play.
