Artemis has developed and delivered fire and rescue-related training programs for over five years. Our aim is to help individuals thrive, and organisations grow and prosper.Having created and supported the University of Wolverhampton Fire and Rescue Degree programmes in 2010, Mark Taylor and Tony Prosser, Operations Command Lead & Head of Learning and Development respectively with West Midlands Fire Service, were invited in 2012 to take on the management of the course as an independent provider, a unique proposition in the UK academic community. To facilitate this Artemis Training and Development Limited (ATDL) was incorporated in 2012. Both have a passion for incident command and the Fire and Rescue Service and were subsequently invited to tutor and assess in the command school at the Fire Service College and the Emergency Planning College. The reputation of ATDL for having knowledgeable and committed instructors gained traction and the company was approached to deliver revalidation programmes for several fire and rescue services, a product that did not exist in the UK . Further product development led to a suite of Skills For Justice Awards accredited courses including ICL 1 – 4, Level 5 Train the Trainer for Incident Command, Fire Investigation and other courses including the new Command Support level 4 programme. In order to keep growing our output, associates have been engaged, all with suitable experience, qualifications and enthusiasm, to deliver our incident command courses and the University of Wolverhampton Degree programmes, now running 5 degrees – full time, part-time and distance learning both in the UK and across the globe.

Owner and founder of Mes Amies Dance Company, Amie is a Royal Academy of Dance trained and qualified ballet teacher. She has over 10 years experience teaching both adults and children in a variety of disciplines. Nilay Islek was born in Izmir, Turkey. She completed her elementary and high school education in this city. Photography became her interest in her high school years. In 1999, she entered Dokuz Eylül University Fine Art Faculty and graduated with the thesis “Sensual Projections” in 2003. She completed her Master Degree in the same faculty with her thesis “Visual Culture and Social Memory in the Context of Digital Photography Aesthetics” in 2009. Islek started to perform Advertising Photography in 1995 during her education. While she moved up the career ladder, she became a sought instructor and gave lectures in several schools and associations such as Izmir Fen High School and Izmir Association of Photography Art (IFOD). Universiade 2005 Izmir Summer Plays was her first important international event as a member of the editorial board. After that, she has participated in several international events and projects. Her newest project is Izmir- Bremen Photography Artist Residency Program “Elsewhere” between 2017-2018. In the meantime, Nilay Islek started her own atelier, Artlens Visual Culture and Photography, which is a continuing education centre in the field of photography for eight years now. In 2016, Nilay Islek is chosen for the international title of Fujifilm “X-Photographer” as the first woman photographer from Turkey. She’s been given Basic Photography Courses Fujifilm Education Centre in Izmir as the official instructor of Fujifilm. She worked as a lecturer at Izmir Economy University between 2015-2018. On the other hand, her academic career is going on at the Ege University Faculty of Communication, Radio, Television and Cinema PhD program. She lives and continues her life of art in London. Tricia Johnson is an artist working across an extensive variety of arts disciplines. She studied Art & Design in the Midlands before moving to the Sussex coast and gaining a B.A. (Hons) Degree. She then went on to achieve various teaching qualifications. She enjoys the challenge and exploration found in absorbing new methods and processes. This has enabled her over the past 20 years to teach a wide variety of art courses across West Sussex. Her sculpture work featured nationally on ITV’s morning programme and exhibitions include West Dean College and Worthing Museum and Art Gallery, West Sussex. She also had the privilege of exhibiting her work in the Awagami International Miniature Print Exhibition, Tokushima, Japan. Along with exhibitions at; Banks Mill Studios Derby, The Art House Wakefield, neo: Gallery Bolton, Gallery@OXO Oxo Tower Wharf South Bank London, Hong Kong Baptist University Hong Kong and Cube gallery Moscow. After a period focusing on other disciplines, Tricia returned to printmaking and the joy of the process is what pushes her work forward creatively. Learning different printing methods has helped her to begin experimenting with distinctive approaches to her prints and printing style. Tricia continues to enjoy drawing and working painterly with a variety of mixed media, developing her own instinctive style over many other art disciplines.

Welcome Dear One,   I am Namura, a spiritual teacher, advisor and healer in service of the Light.  From an early age, my connection to the spiritual world led me to explore various meditation, healing and psychic development techniques, both on my own and by attending spiritual development workshops and classes. Being driven to further help others, I therefore got trained as an Archangel Life Coach, Angelic Medium  and as an energy healer practitioner through the Angelic Reiki Association. Always guided by Spirit in my personal practice as well as when working with clients I have become comfortable to mix and match a plethora of tools and methods, such as Energy Healing, Channeling, Psychic Guidance, Light Language, Sacred Geometry, Past Life Regressions, Crystal Healing and more. I also enjoy creating channelled art, which people found to be very healing and powerful. We are an independent NCPS accredited centre [https://nationalcounsellingsociety.org/] delivering a range of counselling and psychotherapeutic training courses from level 2 through to level 6. We also have a comprehensive range of CPD events.    Overview / History of ML Maple leaf was the brainchild of our Director Gail Roberts, who wanted to set up a training centre that specialised in counselling. She didn’t want it to be like a traditional school, as she wanted to focus on the vocational side of the work, so she included a number of private practitioner rooms as well so that the centre is a working therapeutic base as well.  Her aim was to be accessible to people from the wider society and we are currently working on how we access external funding to make the centre even more accessible.  We have great respect for anyone who has decided that they would like to train to be a counsellor. And as a specialist centre that only trains counsellor and psychotherapeutic therapists, we have a unique insight into the industry.  We recognise that people bring a wide range of different skills to the table from previous careers and experiences. Generally, we suggest that anyone looking at training to be a therapist begins at level 2 as this gives a good grounding some of the modalities and theories that you will be building on as you continue your training.  On occasion, dependant on your previous experience you maybe able to use some of your prior learning and start at a different point. This is usually only possible if there has been as aspect of counselling either in your work or in other education i.e. Psychology degree with a counselling module.  If you are unsure which level is suitable for you then please click the button below and book in for a chat.  It is generally accepted that your Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (or equivalent) is required level to work as a counsellor. This is the level of qualification that is expected by all main ethical bodies such as the NCPS [https://nationalcounsellingsociety.org/] and BACP [https://www.bacp.co.uk/].     Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) & National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS)   CPCAB [https://www.cpcab.co.uk/about] are our awarding body and they are currently the UK’s leading awarding body specialised in counselling. They pride themselves on being built on a premise of counsellors and practitioners training counsellors and practitioners. This means that all of our tutors have to be in supervised practice whilst working with you on the courses they teach. This is a wonderful base to come from as it means that we have a large body of different experiences from counselling children and young people to sex therapists, psychodynamic, gestalt and more. This means that we offer a rich base to do your training from. We also encourage all of our team to join whichever ethical body they feel suits them as we hold a firm stance that it is unethical to ‘force’ someone to join a particular ethical body.  CPCAB are regulated by The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual), The Council for the Curriculum, Examinations & Assessment (CCEA) and Qualifications Wales. These are the public bodies responsible for regulating qualifications in England, Northern Ireland and Wales respectively. (CPCAB 2024) Maple Leaf are a NCPS accredited centre and NCPS oversee our course content and training alongside CPCAB. NCPS audit on a yearly basis and CPCAB come in 2 -3 times a year to make sure that we are all running safe and ethical courses.
