Imam Abdul Hafeez Siddique is the Founder and CEO of The Flowhesion Foundation. He is an experienced, qualified Muslim Chaplain who studied at a traditional Islamic seminary in Bolton. Abdul graduated from the seminary at the age of 17 making him, at the point of qualification, one of the youngest Imam’s in Britain. Post qualification, he serves as a Muslim Chaplain at HMP Wymott where he works as part of a multi-disciplinary, multi-faith team. Abdul has a strong academic background in community cohesion and social capital research. After completing his undergraduate degree in this field, he was awarded a postgraduate scholarship by the Mariott Trust. Subsequently this led him to become the first person in the Northwest to look in to how members of the South-Asian Muslim community in Bolton interpreted the terminology and lexicology surrounding community cohesion. He asked these difficult questions to marginalised members of the bamer community. The research allowed Abdul to undertake an in-depth theoretical study of the evolution of the concept: community cohesion and his in-depth qualitative interviews formed the basis of his study that was supervised by Professor Carole Truman and Dr Margaret Boneham at the University of Bolton. This seminal study came to fruition in the form of a thesis submitted for the degree of Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) titled ‘A critical analysis of Cantle’s (2001) community cohesion model and its applicability to marginalised elements of Bolton’s south-asian Muslim Community’ that was awarded to him in 2011. In addition, Abdul has over 10 years experience working with socially excluded immigrant BAME communities and their representatives in Bolton to promote community cohesion and build social capital.

Certified Vinyasa & Hatha yoga teacher living in south west Cornwall I am a Swedish, ocean loving, flow sequencing and playlist making yogini. Before moving to Cornwall in 2021, I lived on the Caribbean coast of Colombia, teaching daily yoga classes whilst running a surf school and caring for stray animals. I am passionate about our planet and hold a Master's degree in trans-disciplinary sustainability.   I started traveling the world and practicing yoga around the same time in my life, roughly 13 years ago. My yoga practice became a way for me to turn into myself in the midst of change. Whenever I came to a new country I would find a yoga class to join or roll out my mat in nature to practice. In a beautiful way, yoga became an essential part of both my travels and me as a person, and helped me to stay connected to myself and my own truth while being on the move and meeting new faces and places.  I trained to become a yoga teacher in 2018 both to learn more and deepen my own practice, and because I was truly craving to share this practice that I so deeply believe in. I believe in the benefits of yoga for all, regardless of how our personal practices look. I believe it has the power to help us become better versions of ourselves and better humans, and to make us healthier and happier inside and out. I believe that yoga is a practice of integration.   Since I took my first yoga class in 2010 I have always been drawn to dynamic, fiery and fast paced Vinyasa classes. I love arriving completely into my body and leaving the head to move, to breathe, to sweat – to just BE. The power of a fiery Vinyasa practice is the irresistible pull towards surrender, to the moving meditation where nothing else exists.   I still love fast and dynamic Vinyasa classes but since I completed my teacher training and began exploring traditional Hatha with my teachers in India I have been drawn to slower, more conscious movement. In my teaching I love to invite my students to stop and feel, to explore and to engage more deeply with sensations as a way to learn to listen to the intelligent language of our bodies.

MINI PROFESSORS "Science is all around us, in everything we see." Mini Professors is an innovative, interactive and fun science class that will open up a whole new world of scientific adventure to your child. Our classes are suitable for children from 2 years old up until they go to school. At Mini Professors, we aim to inspire a generation. We believe that science should be accessible to all. As with languages, children can easily absorb and learn science from an early age. That is why we endeavour to always use the correct scientific terminology but explain scientific principles in simple terms with fun experiments. We encourage our Mini Professors to explore for themselves and interact as much as possible. Every week we cover a new and exciting topic and each lesson is packed full of experiments, singing, stories and loads of fun. Our exciting topics include the brain, bubbles, electricity, flight, evolution, maths, dinosaurs, fossils, butterflies, weird science just to name a few. Message to parents More Than Ed continues to operate as normal. We will not be wearing facemasks, or asking your children to do so, as we do not work in confined spaces and all young people at More Than Ed are classed as SEN. However, should you wish us or your child to wear a facemask in the car due to someone in your family being at higher risk of infection, please inform us. All students' temperatures will be taken prior to their journey to school, and any child that appears to have a higher than normal temperature will be asked to remain at home until they have received a negative COVID-19 test result (not a Lateral Flow Test result.) More Than Ed Therapeutic Provision offers a therapeutic education in a nurture-based environment for young people at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream school, or those who have already been excluded. As an Attachment and Trauma Aware Provision, we offer in-house Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy. All our staff will adhere to all Government restrictions when not at work so that your child and family are protected as much as possible. Please ensure that you and your family continue to follow all rules and restrictions in order to help keep our staff and other students safe.

I came to Pilates after suffering from a herniated disc over 10 years ago. I toyed with classical and the not so classical approach to Pilates for years – from right back to the basics of the fundamentals of Pilates to a more flow/yoga inspired type of class. When I moved to Toronto in the Summer of 2016, I hit the studios hard and started practising 5/6 times a week, sometimes twice a day because I loved the studio and the style of teaching so much. A friend asked me if I had thought about doing my training…fast forward to 2018 and completing my Stott Pilates teacher training in Brighton! i am also pre and post Natal trained through Mama’s Pilates. I am training to be a Moving Fascia Teacher through Evolve Movement in Brighton I like to think the spiritual side of movement isn’t just saved for yoga. Come to my class for an hour of movement, fun and a great playlist! I think the playlist is such an important part of the class. I love feedback and want to cater to you – it’s a two way street, so don’t be afraid to let me know what you want to see in classes too. I look forward to seeing you on the mat!

energy kidz after school club - brighton (mile oak primary school)

Fun active childcare during the school holidays. Energy Kidz Ofsted Registered Holiday Clubs run every school holiday for primary school aged children.In our After School Clubs, we pride ourselves in delivering a fun, happy and safe place for children to freely play with their friends, take part in activities, art and craft, sport, chill out or enjoy the variety of toys and games available. The club is set up to provide a fun and stimulating environment when the child arrives. There are activities such as Lego, puzzles, toys and board games so children can start playing straight away. Children are able to go outside as soon as possible each day (normally once everyone is registered and the playground has cleared). Children are able to flow between the indoor and outdoor area. Children can freely play outside, taking advantage of the school facilities including adventure play areas where they are available. There is also equipment such as skipping ropes and sports equipment, as well as go karts and scooters at some clubs too. Key Stage 1 children are collected or dropped to a designated meeting point while Key Stage 2 make their own way to the club. Parents can pick up at any time up until 6.00pm. All children must be signed out by an adult over 16 who is named on that child’s registration form.
