Our Academic Team Morgon Florke- She is originally from America but currently living in Europe teaching English! She became a ESP teacher 4 years ago and specializes in medical, business, speaking and pronunciation English. She has taught all students of all ages and nationalities. She loves teaching and connecting with them. Jennifer Schmidt - Jennifer Schmidt (New York) has been a professor in bilingual and international education master's programs in Spain for the past 14 years. She has been a teacher, trainer, and professor for over 23 years. She has created and taught over 120 courses in centers of teacher formation in all parts of Spain, Europe, and worldwide. She specializes in learning theory, teaching methods and CLIL. Arpita Bhattacharyya - Arpita Bhattacharyya (India ), Alma mater - Indian Psychoanalytical Society, is presently working as a Consultant for Autism Intervention & Educator ( Childhood Developmental Disorders ). She has been into handling cases with academic, socio- motor, sensory difficulties especially children with ASD, ADHD, LD & ID for the past 11 years in special school & psychiatric clinic set up. She had been Asstt Professor in RCI training college and Guest Faculty for various institutions like IIT Kharagpur ( Adaptive Devices in Special Needs ) for ASD (both at SPl D.Ed & B.Ed level ) for 9 years. She had been a member of the panel of NIEPMD, Chennai for setting question papers of All India External Examination under RCI & NBER regulations. Sudipta Hore - Sudipta Hore has a Master’s Degree in Sociology from Calcutta University. She has a B.Ed. and is also a certified TEFL/TESOL and a Phonics trainer. She has successfully completed sessions and workshops on “Special Education Needs Teachers’ Training” from ‘Mono Bikash Kendra’, Kolkata. Apart from these, Sudipta is also a trained Bharatnatyam dancer, having extensively toured and performed across India. She has more than 17 years of experience, spanning various academic roles as pre & primary Educator in International Schools, across Hyderabad, Delhi & Gurgaon. Adrija Bhaduri - Adrija Bhaduri has done her Post Graduation from Presidency College on Sociology. She has also done a Master in Social Work from Jadavpur University. She has been associated with Government Organisation in the survey for highway construction and social development. She has done her Montessori Training and is presently working with the London College of Teachers. Patricia Franco - Patricia Franco has a degree on Pedagogy and she’s currently a Neuropsychopedagogy student. She’s been an ESL teacher for 5 years and she's also an Early Years educator. She has been approved as a speaker on several international events such as Oxford Education Research Symposium and 5th International Conference on Advanced Research in Education held in Cambridge (UK). She has experience with Teacher Training through webinars and workshops bringing attention to topics such as pedagogical theories, lesson-planning, neuroscience, language teaching and several others. The goal is always to inspire educators and broaden their minds towards the learning-teaching process.

Welcome to Love Outdoor Learning. We help children grow, develop and learn whilst they connect with their natural environment.Love Outdoor Learning was founded by Carol Murdoch. She is a teacher who quickly discovered the magic of taking learning into the playground and beyond. With almost twenty years of working in education, she has experience teaching in primary, severe and complex schools and ASD bases. Throughout the years’ Carol has and is working on wide range of training. This includes a Master in Learning for Sustainability (with an outdoor learning focus), Lead Teacher in Outdoor Learning, Woodland Activity Leader Training and also Forest School training (level 8 FOLA). She is also set to complete her Coastal Activity Leader Training in July 2022. She Carol loves to support schools by providing training, advice and resources helping teachers break out of the classroom and deliver learning outdoors. Carol is one of the countries leading educational consultants supporting schools in Scotland, the UK and across the globe. She delivers training, presents keynote speeches and is passionate about helping schools develop high quality outdoor learning.

The Autism Training Network was established following an identified need for quality support and training for a range of settings across the UK. Our clients range from health and social care settings, to charity and voluntary organisations through to businesses and public service companies. Over the last decade there has been an increase in the research and development of our understanding of neurodivergence conditions such as Autism, Tourettes and ADHD (to name but a few!) and with this increase, there are more and more individuals who are self-identifying or who are being diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This left a massive shortfall in the knowledge and understanding of how to support someone or even just be comfortable around neurodivergent people. We believe that everyday is an opportunity to learn and our team are consistently undertaking further learning and training to enhance their knowledge and experiences to better facilitate training and learning opportunities. Our team has worked with some incredible people in the UK and the feedback that we have received has been testament in itself that we are supporting to make a change to how neurodivergence is seen. We are excited to announce that we are now CPD UK members!

Welcome to Foxwood Academy and welcome to our website. Hopefully, you will find all of the information you need on our website but if you have any specific questions you can contact us directly at the Academy. The ‘Help for Everyone’ drop down menu on the far right hand side provides you with clips and links to videos that you might find really useful and the ‘Site Map’ section in the ‘About Us’ menu will take you to a list of everything on the website. We are a school for children and young people with SEND but also a school for parents and carers. We want to provide you with the support and help that you might need and hopefully this website is your first stop. The children, young people and staff at Foxwood are remarkable. We have just over 110 children and young people and approximately 60 staff. Our youngest children start at age 4 and our oldest leave us at the age of 18. All of our children and young people have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) and all of our children have difficulties with cognition and learning. About 75% of our children would be described as children and young people with an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC or sometimes called ASD) and others can be described as having Sensory and /or Physical needs. We have a very strong set of core values here at Foxwood that guide us in every decision and action that we take. We believe in: Education – That every child with a special educational need deserves the best possible education available provided by the best teachers in the best schools and Academies. Independence – That every child and young person is given the opportunity to be as independent as they possibly can be. Celebration – That the children and young people should be happy here and celebrate their part in our community. Learning for Life – That Foxwood is a stepping-stone to bright futures. Futures where young adults can be happy, healthy, independent, and play an active part in society. Lots of parents and carers contact the Academy and the website to see if our context; or the children and young people that we teach, are similar to their children and young people at home.
