The C2C Teaching Alliance was formed in March 2013 and is a Multi-Alliance teaching school committed to providing excellent teaching and learning opportunities for all. We have successfully developed ITT enabling School Direct students to work within the Alliance. We are also an appropriate body for NQT’s offering quality support and training for NQTs across Stoke on Trent and North Staffordshire. Furthermore, we have developed the school to school support that we offer and are engaged in supporting a number of schools and have a good track record of the impact of that support. We also offer a wide range of CPD, including English, Maths, PE, Phonics and Senior leaders. Our most recent addition to this is training for recently Qualified Teachers showing leadership potential. Our objective is to build a professional school led system based on trust and empowerment. St Bonaventure’s has a long and distinguished history. Our school has been providing the very best education for Roman Catholic boys in this area since before 1875. The school was founded on its current site in 1877 by the Franciscan Friars, making St Bonaventure’s one of the oldest Catholic boys’ schools in the country – only the London Oratory is older. 2017 saw us celebrating 140 years of education in Forest Gate and although the World has changed immensely in that time, one thing remains the same and that is the love and care each student receives every single day by dedicated staff and teachers. Our school motto, “In Sanctitate et Doctrina” symbolises what we expect from all members of our school. We are a community, based upon faith which impacts upon every element of our academic and personal lives and we expect everyone, adult and child, to ensure that they learn something new each day. I am very proud to be associated with a school that is a successful as St Bonaventure’s and I thank all students and staff, both current and previous for all their hard work, effort and commitment to their Church and their education. This is a school that every member of the school community feels privileged to be associated with. We support charities on a local, national and international level. Our boys give freely of their time and their money. Our CAFOD group raises over £2000 each year and we support Brentwood Catholic Children’s Society, Caritas Anchor House, Richard House Children’s Hospice and other charities.

Our mission is to build capacity within the community education sector. We aim to: Grow our consortium of supplementary schools across the Greater Manchester area. Share teaching, research, capital and human resources across the consortium. Focus on teaching core curriculum subjects (English, Maths and Sciences). Use digital, creative education and training as well as heritage studies as media for teaching core curriculum subjects. Provide high quality, academically relevant extra-curricular enrichment activities across the consortium. Support volunteer teachers across the consortium with their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Initial Teacher Training (ITT). Eureka Online College is an organisation made up of teachers who work together to provide subject knowledge enhancement (SKE) courses for aspiring teachers. SKE courses are funded by the government and are designed for pre-ITT students to gain the depth of knowledge needed to train to teach their chosen subject. Eureka began delivering SKE courses in 2012, which was until recently funded by DfE via grant funding to schools and universities. Through our succussful model of combining on-demand content, online course tutor support and live one to one lessons we have grown year on year and have become a household name amoungst ITT providers nationally. We pride ourselves on the bespoke service we give to our students and as an organisation, we are service driven. From 2021, SKE is now delivered via contract with DfE and we operate through 2 main regional partners (please see link on 'how to apply) who complete complete the financial governance, manage student bursaries and attend steering groups with DfE, leaving us to do what we do best, which is to deliver SKE courses to our trainees.
