Windmill Training started in 2005 to help fill the gap in Developing Programmes and in Teaching Vocational, Basic and Life Skills for Mental Health Service Users – in hospitals, supported housing projects and secure units. Our successful approach to working with service users and the mental health sector led to us working with other industries who also wanted to develop their knowledge and understanding of mental ill health. We have worked with businesses and charities to create bespoke training, as well as deliver nationally recognised courses that enable staff to: recognise symptoms of poor mental health understand how it can affect their clients identify what they can do about it, within their services For us, training is about the right product for the right organisation. Our goal is for each individual to benefit from the best learning experience possible, through accredited and specifically designed courses. Situated on the edge of Nottingham - Chalfield Dog Training Club trains dogs to obedience competition level, or just to behave correctly in the community. Kennel Club registered, the club brings its experience to both the public street, and the show ring, training for excellence in obedience shows, companion shows, and acceptable behavior in all walks of life. The Club meets Tuesday Evenings 6.45pm - 7.50pm Beginners Course, 8.00 - 9.00pm Intermediate Class, 9.00 - 10.00pm Advanced Class. Beginners Categories :- The aim of beginners classes is to teach owners to train their dogs basic obedience to a standard, not only acceptable to the owners, but also acceptable to the community regarding safety and control. Commands taught include walking to heel, sit and down stays and recalling dogs on command. Puppies taught in the beginners class are given these basics and Kennel Club Puppy Foundation assesment award Advanced Categories:- These classes are for owners whose dogs have progressed from the Beginners stage and wish to achieve Bronze, Silver, and Gold Kennel Club Good Citizens Awards and/or reach higher standards of obedience, including entering obedience shows. Commands used at these higher levels will be progressively taught for detailed exercises which include advanced heelwork, retrieve, send away, scent, advanced stays and advanced control work.
