The School is a non-profit making organisation with over 100 pupils and employs over 20 members of staff. The management team includes talented individuals from the community who sacrifice their time for the betterment of our future generations, community and purely for the sake of Allaah (awj). We teach three core subjects; Qur’an, Islamic Studies and Qur’anic Arabic for 6 to 16+ year olds. We also have an Arabic wing dedicated to Arabic speaking children. We strive to attain the highest possible standards within the school. Staff work together with the pupils to ensure we achieve and maintain our goals. Our main purpose is to please Allaah ﷻ and provide a high standard of Islamic educational to our students. ILC aims to offer a happy and vibrant Islamic environment for learning and helping to ignite the light of knowledge in the hearts of all students. This is achieved through dedication and teamwork. It is built on a foundation to please Allaah (awj) following His beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) . We expect all teachers to interact and teach our students by following the way that our Prophet did and to adhere to our key values. Our beloved Prophet taught, dealt and interacted with children in such a way that many of them grew up to be outstanding companions and model Muslims. He taught us that in order to nurture Imaan in our children; we must first build the foundation blocks.

teve England Outdoor Learning was founded by Steve England, Conservation Educator, Horticulturist and Historian. Steve has extensive experience of working with schools, community and youth groups across Bristol to engage young (and older) people in outdoor learning and has worked in Stoke Park Estate for more than 40 years. Steve is a multi-award winning outdoor learning professional whose work is well-respected in Bristol and Nationally. Steve England Dogs In 2013, Steve was inducted into the Bristol Walk of Fame at Bristol Zoo in recognition of his work as a local conservation educator. In the same year, Steve was runner up in the UK’s ‘Council for Learning outside the Classroom’s’ “Lifetime Contribution to LOtC” award. He was recently awarded the Avon & Somerset Police Commissioner’s ‘Pride Award’ for his work supporting young people with a wide range of previous skills and experience, and engaging young people in positive outdoor learning activities at Stoke Park Estate. Throughout 2015, Steve has been working with Avon Wildlife Trust on the ‘My Wild City Project’ which aims to turn the whole of Bristol into a nature reserve. Steve is one of the project’s ‘My Wild City Champions.’ Steve has spent his life working in Stoke Park Estate and the nearby Frome Valley, witnessing and contributing to many changes aimed at improving Bristol’s wildlife. Steve continues to volunteer at Stoke Park Estate, supporting Stoke Park Action Group and other community-based organisations to maintain and develop the park for the benefit of the wider community. This work was recently recognised by Bristol Natural History Consortium which awarded Steve ‘Bristol’s Green Volunteer of the Year,’ in recognition of his ongoing commitment to improving the natural environment.

Malet Lambert has a long and proud history, dating back to 1932. Once a grammar school, it became a community comprehensive school in 1968 and it continues to be true to the word ‘comprehensive’ some 50 years later. Having taught in many schools and as a member of the senior leadership team at previous schools too, I am immensely proud to be at the forefront of the everyday running of this ambitious school. I joined Malet Lambert in 2014 as a Deputy Headteacher, before becoming Head of School in 2016 and, therefore, I now know our pupils, staff and community well. From our thorough transition process in Year 6 through to the close mentoring and support for our pupils taking public examinations in Year 11, we put the needs of individual pupils at the heart of everything we do. At Malet Lambert, we pride ourselves upon having high aspirations. These will ensure that all of our pupils meet their potential by creating a safe, yet vibrant learning environment, which sees first class teaching and learning every single day. Concordia was founded in 1943 to recruit volunteer labour to encourage peace and reconciliation in the aftermath of the Second World War. Our work as a charity supplies five core services: CYA (Concordia Youth Action), International Volunteering, NCS (National Citizens Service), Seasonal Workers Programme and our Wellbeing Programme. Although all our programmes vary, they are all motivated by our desire to make the world a better place. CYA (Concordia Youth Action) Concordia works to improve local communities across Sussex. The young people we work with locally are passionate about making positive change and we help them do so. Plymouth Dance connects, creates and celebrates dance in the city. Our mission is to engage people and communities within Plymouth with the transformational power of dance and to connect, create and celebrate dance in Plymouth by delivering citywide partnership projects that use dance as a vehicle for individual, cultural, organisational and social change. Why the community needs us We create and deliver the most exciting, innovative and accessible dance offer for our community. So many people don't have access to the transformational benefits of dance as part of their everyday life: such as the freedom to create; the opportunity to improve mental, physical and emotional health and well-being, whilst decreasing social isolation and exclusion. We know that it's vital that more people and communities have opportunities to watch, be part of and perform dance. Our impact on the community A total of 23,445 people have participated in Plymouth Dance workshops and events since 2009. 109 young people have volunteered for Plymouth Dance since the volunteering scheme began in 2014, logging 2,207 volunteering hours in total. Tea Dances with a Twist! is an intergenerational and inclusive social dance event that has attracted people aged 3.5 weeks to 104 years old. A total of 7,815 people have participated in our TDT events and TDT branch projects since 2016. Plymouth Dance has engaged 1,438 local, national and international artists and practitioners since 2009. Audiences for Plymouth Dance projects have ranged from 300 to 55,000. Over 13 years, Plymouth Dance has invested in excess of £1.27m into the city; 26% through trusts and charities, 50% through Arts Council England and 24% through earned income and commissions. Heavy metal therapy is an online resource and community of people who find metal music helpful for mental well being. It is a place to find and share experiences of how metal has helped us, the meaning we take from songs or lyrics, and play lists that we have found useful. It is for everyone, so we don’t judge each others metal preferences. If you would like to share your own recovery story about how metal has helped you please contact us, we can make stories anonymous if you prefer. We continue to develop a few shared playlists under heavy metal therapy, which can be expanding and changing. We like people to share their own music or art if it comes with a reason/message to do with mental health. We may be a small and select group, but we are open to suggestions of expanding. Hopefully over time this will become led by and shaped by those who use it, so it’s not set in stone, it can grow and change. See this video for a bit more about us. Also, all things metal tend to be quite sweary and have dark themes, so there’s quite a bit of that in the stories and playlists.

Hall Farm Eastoft has been farmed by the Coulman family for some 150 years or more and over time the land has produced a wide range of arable crops and been home to cattle, pigs, chickens and more recently alpacas. Extending to around 235 hectares (575 acres) of land the farm grow wheat, oilseed rape, sugar beet, potatoes and grass, as well as maintaining an extensive environmental scheme to enhance the natural habitat. It is important to us to farm to the highest environmental, sustainable and welfare standards which means we subscribe to a range of key industry standards and generate much of our energy and resources from sustainable sources. As members of Red Tractor Assurance schemes for both crop production and our pig production, as well as Freedom Food, British Quality Pork and Global Animal Partnership schemes for our pigs, we ensure that all our produce meets high production standards and enters the food chain. We generate all our power from our Solar PV system, powering lights, feed systems, grain driers and our vehicles and use a Biomass boiler to provide heat. In addition, around 90% of our water use is either borehole sourced or from rainwater harvesting ensuring we minimise our use of mains, treated water and rely on naturally produced water. The farm has hosted educational visits for many years, supported by Natural England’s environmental schemes, and has developed this educational support since 2017 into a social farm engaging with young people and adults, empowering them to develop skills to enrich their learning, wellbeing and social life. With our focus on sustainable, environmentally friendly farming coupled with our increasing community of social farmers, here at Hall Farm Eastoft we aim to provide a community farming operation benefiting the environment and the local community.
