Sjm Consultancy Group

Bromborough,

In 2010, it was time for me to move on ~ after over a decade ~ from my work as the founding executive of a non-profit strategy organization (click here for information about my background). Wanting to take time to explore next steps, I jumped at the opportunity to take on some short-term consulting projects. What I found was an exciting and rewarding career partnering with executives who had great vision but too little bandwidth to move from idea to implementation rapidly. Specialties Facilitation ~ Organizational Strategy: Design, Action Planning and Implementation ~ Executive Coaching ~ Stakeholder Engagement ~ Partner Management ~ Project Management ~ Capacity Building ~ Team Building SJM is connected to professionals with a wide range of complementary talents and frequently builds consultant teams to address the full range of client requirements, as well as collaborates with consultants independently contracted by clients. Selected Clients Feeding America National Organization ~ University of Pennsylvania, Fels Institute of Government ~ ManpowerGroup ~ State of Colorado ~ Penn Foster Education Group ~ National Association of Workforce Boards ~ Bluedrop Learning Networks ~ Workforce Professionals Training Institute ~ Public Consulting Group ~ Annie E. Casey Foundation ~ City of Long Beach, CA ~ NRF Foundation What's In a Name? SJM is named in memory of three individuals who had a profound impact on my life: my brother Scott, who followed his dreams and inspired me to do the same; my stepfather Jay, who built his own business and showed me what it takes to succeed; and my grandmother Molly, who believed I could do anything.

Tessa Jowell Brain Cancer Mission

tessa jowell brain cancer mission

London

In 2018, Dame Tessa Jowell led a call to action on behalf of all brain tumour patients to tackle brain tumours, recognising that too little progress has been made in the treatment of patients with this devastating disease. Lord O’Shaughnessy, the then Undersecretary of State for Health, responded by convening members of the brain tumour community to design a new national strategy. And so, the Tessa Jowell Brain Cancer Mission was formed by a group of passionate academics, doctors, members of professional and patient organisations and patients. Today, the national effort has grown in scale and size. The Tessa Jowell Brain Cancer Mission is now a Community Interest Company which manages and supports a national portfolio of several transformational programmes in the areas of research, trials, training and patients. Our work is funded and supported by the NIHR, The Tessa Jowell Foundation, CRUK, The Minderoo Foundation, The Brain Tumour Charity, Brain Tumour Research, Brainstrust, Brain Tumour Support and Act for Cancer. The mission is chaired by Professor Richard Gilbertson (Chair of Board of Guarantors) and led by Dr Nicky Huskens (CEO) on a day to day basis. Please click here to see the full TJBCM team. Expert NHS clinicians, nurses, AHPs and academics from across the UK work with the Mission to design and deliver our programmes every day. The programmes are jointly delivered with our partner organisations and managed and supported by our own team of core company employees.

London

ICPD was designed and launched by City of London senior business professionals. The team of experts are extremely passionate about City of London educational services, communication and professionalism. They are a group of Senior Principle Directors with over 150 years of successful business experience between them with detailed experience in the banking, Information Technology, Communications, Professional Level Education and Psychology industries. All our Principle Directors are fully accredited, certified and qualified professional business people. The group are all English who have experienced a variety of cultures through taking long term assignments by living and working in all corners of the Globe, Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and the Americas. The concept for ICPD came through various detailed discussions with City of London affiliated further education establishments. In today’s world of technology and artificial intelligence, ICPD identified a growing need to take young people back to basic human interactions. Basic human skills have been ignored over many years and for future generations, it is essential that young people starting off need to adopt these “soft skills”. Firstly, to pass the selection and interview process and to enhance their chances with their career development. ICPD (Interview, Communication, Personal Development) developed a programme working alongside the universities. ICPD is fully committed in promoting the “City of London” as the preferred centre of choice for training in helping students make that jump from education to the workplace.
