As part of this course you will have the opportunity to complete a work placement, which offers invaluable professional experience. This allows you to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations under the supervision and guidance of professional practitioners. Students will travel to placements are across Leicester and the wider East Midlands in community pharmacies, hospitals and the primary care sector, including GP practices and funding for travel to placements is provided. Placements can be timetabled from 9:00 – 17:00. To attend placements you will need an Enhanced DBS and are required to complete an annual self-declaration of good health and conduct, in addition to adhering to placement provider policies, including dress codes.

The replacement coach will be of equal quality, briefed on policies and procedures, class management, how the day is run, know what the children have previously been learning and what they need to learn that lesson. Adobe Certified Expert & Instructor | BA | MSc I have over 15 years of working experience in Design, Photography and Media, allowing me to maintain a wide variety of skills that assist in supporting students, professionals and enthusiasts involved in the Creative industries. Currently, I'm freelancing and teaching MSc Design at the University of Edinburgh. Since I started teaching in 2013, I have taught other educators, art directors, creative professionals but also students of all ages (5 to 75!) and abilities, including individuals with learning and behavioural difficulties. Moreover, I have delivered bespoke Adobe creative training for clients such as the BBC, SKY, WWF, NHS, ILGA, Roche, The National Gallery and several Universities and Colleges. Since 2015 I've continuously been one of the very few Adobe Certified Instructors and Experts. Because of my comprehensive knowledge of the Adobe software and digital media theory, I received a series of certifications from Adobe, such as Educator Specialist in Visual and Video Design, Digital Imaging and Digital Creativity Expert for classrooms, Expert in Digital Media and Creativity Training and Adobe Education Trainer, accrediting me to train other educators. I have achieved an MSc in Design and Digital Media (with distinction) from the University of Edinburgh, where I chose to work with 3D, Motion Graphics, VFX, UI/UX, Video Game Design and AR/VR. I specialised in VR experiences made with Unreal Engine and particle systems. Allwinds Dog First Aid Ltd was established in November 2018 by qualified veterinary nurse Amanda Williams, with the aim of utilising her vast veterinary nursing skills to deliver professional, accessible courses for dog parents and pet professionals alike. None of us like to think of our dogs in pain or having sustained an injury but should the worst happen, would you know how to help your canine companion? Would you know how to help a dog which was choking or had ingested a poison? We all hope to do the right thing and make the right choices for our dogs to help keep them from illness and injury but accidents do happen and usually when we least expect them. Be prepared and join us on one of our dog first aid courses. Learning even basic dog first aid skills can, in some cases, make the difference between life and death. With an extensive range of topics covered, all courses are taught by Amanda in a relaxed environment with plenty of hands-on, practical elements, allowing those taking part to leave feeling confident if faced with an emergency situation. All courses are fully compliant with The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 and The Animal Welfare Act 2006. CPR skills are taught following the latest RECOVER guidelines. Allwinds is also approved by NARCH (National Association of Registered Canine Hydrotherapists) to deliver courses to its members. Amanda herself is fully insured, DBS checked and a member of the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA). Amanda continues to routinely work with members of the Royal College of Veterinary surgeons to ensure her skills are kept fully up to date.

Our staff members have a vast amount of experience in delivery of Forest Schools programmes, outdoor education and creative activities. They are qualified in Outdoor First Aid, are DBS checked, hold Food Safety certificates and are members of the Forest School Association: Honia Devlin Gemma McColl Louise Shepherd Honia Devlin Honia established Bright Woods Forest School in 2016, keen to inspire children and help them develop an understanding of the natural world. Honia has over 12 years’ experience in delivery of outdoor education and wildlife conservation projects as well as running events and wild themed birthday parties to children of all ages. She has previously worked for London Wildlife Trust and more locally for the Heart of Teesdale Landscape Partnership. She has an MSc in Biology with specialism in Environmental Biology and is a qualified Forest Schools Level 3 Practitioner. Gemma McColl Gemma, who joined the team shortly after, spent more than 14 years working in community arts and ran a successful Educational Arts business, working with children throughout KS1-3, before becoming a qualified primary school teacher. As a freelance artist, Gemma worked with schools and community groups delivering various workshops, which were inspired by the Reggio Emilia enquiry-based approach of early childhood education. The ethos of the Reggio approach and Forest Schools sit comfortably together as they are about empowering children and helping them to be resilient problem-solvers in the future. Gemma is a qualified Forest Schools Level 3 Practitioner. Louise Shepherd Louise started with us as a volunteer in 2018 before becoming an integral part of the team. She is a keen nature enthusiast with a particular interest in wild flowers, trees and lichen and has a wealth of knowledge. Prior to joining Bright Woods, Louise was a family support officer in a primary school and while there, she completed her Level 3 Forest School qualification and enjoyed organising and facilitating sessions such as pond dipping, bug hunts and fire lighting. Louise is also a qualified secondary school teacher and spent many years leading scout sessions, supporting children from 6 to 18 years old with bushcraft and camping activities. Volunteers We also have a number of volunteers who contribute to the varied aspects of running of our Forest School including wildlife conservation and practical work as well as assisting sessions and events. Our Ethos Bright Woods Forest School CIC believes in children’s rights to play, access the natural world, experience appropriate risk and a healthy range of emotions. We believe that children who are given the freedom to play in the outdoors and get dirty and wet are simply happy children. Such children are more fulfilled, less prone to depression and more connected to the world around them. In 2017, as away of helping us to fulfil our values and ethos and provide sessions to as wide an audience as possible, Bright Woods Forest School became a not for profit Community Interest Company.

We are proud to have a team of over 25 coaches some of them former International gymnasts, European, World or Olympic Champions in gymnastics and feel confident they will pass their expertise to new generations. We also have volunteer coaches that are currently ongoing their training to becoming qualified coaches. We are always on the lookout for new coaches that are keen to get involved so if you are interested in becoming a gymnastics coach or even just a volunteer please get in touch. All our coaches and volunteers over 16 have DBS clearance and are trained in safeguarding children as well as certified and insured through British Gymnastics. We also have Youth Leaders that you see in the gym learning to assist and develop their skills as a future coach and a young leader, gaining valuable work experience in a professional environment.

Brighton Swimming School has been offering swimming lessons to both children and adults in Brighton for over 25 years, teaching over 1000 swimmers a week. Founded in 1988 by Paul Smith, Brighton Swimming School started as a small, one week intensive course that has slowly grown into the varied and successful programme you see today. Our main pool is our own, at the Brighton Swimming Centre. The swimming school provides three, twelve week terms as well as intensive courses during all school holidays. These are great for our regular swimmers and new customers, acting as a great way to boost children's swimming skills and technique. BSS has always been developed quality at the forefront and our greatest asset is our staff. Our staff are carefully selected to ensure high standards of teaching and safety, helping to promote the excellent relationship we already enjoy with our swimmers and their parents. Our teachers all hold an ASA Level 2 teaching qualification, whilst our assistants hold an ASA Level 1 qualification. Safety is central to our aims and each session is overseen by two RLSS qualified lifeguards along with a supervisor to manage poolside. All our staff are DBS checked.
