My name is Maria I am a native Spanish speaking tutor with 3 years of experience teaching Spanish to young children from 18 months up to age 11 years. I am running Spanish classes in South West Leicestershire in the postcode areas LE8, LE9, LE17, LE18, LE19 at: Primary Schools: breakfast/lunch/after school clubs Nurseries Childminders Private Home Lessons All the lessons are full of fun!!! Children will be learning Spanish with songs, games, role play, activities and worksheets which are all related to the topic the child will be learning. A little about me: I was born in Barcelona in the Northeast of Spain which is also where my mother originates from that makes us both Catalan. My dad was from the North of Spain, Vizcaya (El Pais Vasco/Euskadi). I have been brought up hearing different languages, especially Catalan. I have to admit I have never learned this language but I did manage to learn words and make little sentences just by overhearing my mum talking to other family members. Days after I was born, we moved to Madrid, where I learned Castellano. Madrid is where I was raised with my two older sisters. When I was 21 I moved to Ireland to learn English and after a few years traveling around the island and working, I came to England with my son and his Dad. I have brought up my son bilingual, which has helped him with his Spanish GCSE. I have always enjoyed working with children but now I am teaching them my own language with the Kidslingo Spanish program, It is my dream job!!. SAORI® is the trademark of the Sakaiseikisangyo Company in Osaka, Japan. It covers the principles, the method of teaching and the manufacture of looms and equipment. Misao Jo developed the idea in 1969 and when asked to name her creations she chose “SAORI” which means “Misao’s weaving”, (“ori” means “weaving” in Japanese). Later a new interpretation was adopted as being more appropriate. “SA” has the same meaning as the first syllable of the word “SAI” which is found in Zen vocabulary. Jan Morgan is the founder of Tots in Sport. Jan started her career by working in London for several years. She soon learned that an office job wasn’t going to spark inspiration and fulfil her ultimate ambition. Her childhood years were consumed by playing a variety of sports including; hockey, tennis to county standard, and athletics at high competition level. Her vision turned to her positive sports experiences and the ways in which she could help children to achieve their dreams. She qualified in a variety of Sport Coaching Qualifications to underpin her intrinsic knowledge and passion for Sport. With this in mind, she left her office job and launched a Sports Coaching business. Initially the company focused on teaching multi sports to children of primary age and above. The lessons also engaged children in sports such as football, tennis, hockey and cricket. Her work with older children inspired a realisation that if these activities were carefully regressed, it could enhance and physically develop children of pre-school age. This marked the birth of Tots in Sport.
