Dunfermline High School is a six year comprehensive school with a roll of approximately 1600 pupils. Our current associate primary school community includes Canmore PS, Commercial PS, Limekilns PS, St. Leonard’s PS, Masterton PS and Pitreavie PS. In addition, we work with many families who choose to send their children here on placing requests. Within our learning community we are fully committed to providing opportunities for every pupil to achieve success, to make friends, to discover new talents and to develop new skills. We have a proud history and a magnificent building but, like every school, the experiences provided for our pupils are the most important element of our school. We strive to ensure that all young people feel safe and happy in an environment that enables them to achieve their full potential and prepares them well for life beyond school whichever path they choose to follow. To support this, we try to offer the best opportunities for our pupils academically, and in extra-curricular experiences. The Kids' Cookery School's mission is to give every child in the UK a unique and fun cooking experience in order to help them make informed choices about food and an understanding around health and diet. Started in 2000, the charity has worked with over 150,000 children, young people and families across London, many of whom may have severe physical and learning disabilities, behavioural problems or been excluded from mainstream education. There are several reasons that have influenced, this decision. The primary reason is due to the Corona virus pandemic, the charity has really struggled over the past 2 years and the various lock-downs have just compounded the problems, with The Kids Cookery School and the charity sector in general. There are several other issues that we won’t bore you with which, basically makes the premises not fit for purpose anymore. The Charity will NOT continue to operate in the previously leased premises (KCS HQ) or as a Mobile POP-UP Kitchen. Therefore, we will NOT be taking any cookery sessions for the foreseeable future

Lilyput Lane is a cute, child sized street perfect for role playing and imaginative play. The ‘Lane’ has a police station, house, beauty salon, café, shop, vet and doctors surgeries. All rooms are fully equipped with related toys so children can embrace each theme. In addition to the ‘Lane’ there is a child size road complete with road signs and traffic lights where children can ride on our number of different vehicles. There is also a train table where children can build their own train tracks to play with and a car table where they are able to drive the toy cars. A construction area is also provided with bricks and tools to play with and dress up area where children could be anything from a princess to a superhero. We also provide a designated baby area with plenty of baby toys and a lovely calm area with cushions to lie on and books to read. We have a small craft room where crafts will always be available to do and a lovely big display wall where our budding artists can display their work ! For the parents/carers there is a lovely café area where you can relax with a cuppa and bite to eat in the knowledge your child has a safe environment in which to play. Our specialist school and children's home in Oxford is for children and young people aged between 8 and 19 with autism and severe learning difficulties who benefit from an autism specific environment.
