This is upsetting for the staff and volunteers who look after them, at this much loved family learning facility (open daily). Donations are being collected through crowd funding to make the site secure, so together we can stop the abuse. Funding has been attracted by Retrofit Balsall Heath for up to 700 homes. Deadline for return of applications is Wednesday 23 November . Delays and even disappointments are possible with a free scheme, but “if you don’t ask, you dont get”. There’s no household income cap, or requirement to be on benefits, but the scheme is for older homes with poor energy rating (D,E,F,G EPCs). The scheme is completely free for eligible owner-occupiers. Private landlords need to pay a one-third contribution. If enough people vote Yes, the new council will be set up and the councilors recruited. They will then draw up a plan and a budget and set the “precept” (a small charge) to pay running costs. There is a new webpage that tells people more about the case for setting up this new structure, separate from Birmingham City Council, (but working with it of course) to power up our ability to solve problems, find opportunities and get communication and coordination working in our complex and multicultural neighbourhood. Cambridge Consciousness Forum offers a safe space to share and explore our thoughts and experiences around who we are, as conscious human beings – what is the nature of consciousness as a whole? Does it, and do we, evolve? We don't say 'This is how it is', but ask 'What do you think? Does this resonate with your experience?' We organise events and workshops with speakers, videos, and facilitated discussion groups. So far, speakers have included Dr Peter Fenwick, Dr Steven Taylor and Iain Ball, Jeannet Weurman, Chris Bache, Maria Papaspyrou and Mick Collins. Events are a mixture of in-person and online. At the Local Teachers, we helped over 25,000 students in the last 8 years to boost their grades and help them go to their desired universities, we have fostered partnerships with 13 schools in London and 3 councils to help them support pupils with our intervention tuition programs in sciences, Mathematics and English. With that same vision and passion, I have founded Ezy Edtech Ltd to purchase assets as part of the liquidation of EzyEducation Ltd via a CVL to make quality education more accessible in different ways. That purchase transfers the rights of the EzyEducation website, courses, and high-quality book stocks of 10,000 with a commercial value of £5-10 per book to Ezy Edtech Ltd. The goodwill and support of ex EzyEducation employees has also been secured. Moreover, we have renewed all suppliers’ contracts such as the Zapper app, which makes more accessible our revision pocket booklets by pulling the interactive videos lessons, and quizzes from our platform to iOS and Android devices which increasingly more and more students are relying on for their revision routines. The EzyEducation platform and customer relationships benefited from £2.5m of investment and reinvested earnings. This means that Ezy Edtech bypasses the development costs usually associated with start-ups. The platform is currently used by over 150 school users (subscriptions of £200,000 in 2019 and £130,000 during 2021 (revenue decreased due to COVID19 exam cancellations). Although EzyEducation Ltd ceased trading on 14/12/2021 the platform has remained in use through this period with zero disruption for customers. Over this period, we had 188,543 sessions, 90,103 users, and 3.25 million hits. This continuation of user engagement is a clear indication of the success we can build on moving forward. With that strong foundation for success, here are our short-term objectives. At the present our most important objective is to secure renewals for the schools Minimise the service disruptions - renew contracts for all our suppliers and staff where possible. Improve our resources wherever necessary - such as creating more resources to make teachers’ life easier - in doing so, we will be complementing with PowerPoints lectures with the video lessons on the platform – so that teachers do not spend so much time and resources in creating lesson plans but rather focus on delivering and

Renegade Theatre was founded in 2018 by Natasha Langridge as an umbrella to create and produce plays for, with and about her local community in North Kensington. Renegade's first project was In Memory of Leaves written and performed by Natasha; an uncompromising monologue that explores what happens to communities when they are moved from their homes. It is personal and bracing; a love note to neighbours and a revolutionary call to the world. In Memory of Leaves was first performed as a site specific piece outdoors on The Wornington Green Estate as part of the inTRANSIT Festival before moving to the Teatro Keiros (Rome). Natasha performed the piece as part of Portobello Live in 2018 and, with Arts Council funding, took it on a three week tour of London canals across Kensington/Camden/Hackney on the Fordham Gallery Barge. Renegade Theatre's current projects include The Wornington Word: A People's History of The Wornington Green Estate W10. The project will record and archive the history of the estates residents from the 1960's up to recent times with oral histories, photos and a documentary that will eventually be archived in Kensington Central and North Kensington Libraries as well as being entered into the 2020 Portobello Film Festival. The project will ultimately facilitate the residents in coming together, for the last time, to create a documented history of their lives on the estate before it is demolished and regenerated into the new Portobello Square development. Renegade Theatre runs a free Saturday drama club for local children, led by Natasha Langridge and Hannah Hutch who has performed at The National Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe, The Old Vic and the BBC. The classes use a mix of drama and physical theatre games with techniques to promote fun, confidence and creativity. Over time we have created three plays, a Carnival Song, three films, a series of short films - the Golden Gifts Project - funded by the Kensington and Chelsea Foundation and The Story Stall, an onsite performance about the history of Golborne Market. The business first operated from premises in the small village of Knowle in Solihull but moved into larger premises in July 2012 to accommodate the larger tile projects that they were being requested to supply. The new premises within Century Park, Birmingham, offered better access for hauliers due to its locality to Birmingham Airport and the major motorway network as well as offering a much larger warehousing capacity. It was never going to be a straight forward journey and many things had to happen to get to here, so let’s start at the beginning. My son was born in 2007 profoundly deaf and it changed everything for me, I never knew love like it. Mother and baby groups were hard to come by back then and I spent a lot of time alone just Joseph and I, I was fine with that but I always felt I needed something more. Eventually I managed to get a place at a local class with other Mums and babies, I was so excited to meet other Mums and arrived at my first class so eager. After our first class, I remember feeling so broken, my beautiful baby was just not responsive like others, he had his little hearing aids on but wasn’t able to hear through them until many months later after cochlear implant surgery. I remember thinking this is a sensory class, how do I learn how to play with my baby? I was young and clueless, I felt very alone and parents didn’t talk to me, maybe because they felt awkward I don’t know, or maybe because I was closed off and had already set myself up to fail. I went to that class once more and knew it was not for me, I hated the way I felt and I knew that I never would want anybody else to feel that way. And so it began, as Joseph got older my knowledge of play and communication with deaf children grew. I became so passionate about language development in babies and how important it was as a parent to play, talk and give love. At the age of 13 months, Joseph had his cochlear implant surgery and was able to hear for the first time. It wasn’t like the videos you see of deaf children hearing for the first time, it was a long process, from listening to a series of beeps through a new mechanical device, it was a year of turning those beeps into recognisable auditory sounds. The process took a very long time and by 30 months first words started to emerge, at the age of 7 he had caught up with his peers. Being the Mother of a deaf child still is an epic adventure, that we have to be prepared to stop everything at the drop of a hat, if something major happens to the equipment or there are any signs of infection around the implant site, It is part of our daily life to check equipment, ears and his precious head.
