With a focus on prevention of breakdown at sea and having an ability to resolve defects which do not require workshop support. This is an essential course for all new or inexperienced skippers and crew, and perfect for anyone who wants to be involved in activities on the water from sailing, powerboating, sea angling or diving. The course works well as a refresher, or sits alongside Introduction to Yachting or Powerboat Level 2. This 16 hour outdoor first aid course complies with all the qualification requirements set down for outdoor pursuits instructors looking to retain qualifications under the MLTE, BCU and BASI, the course includes both classroom and outdoor sessions and also involves training on an variety of improvised rescue techniques. 'Frame Loom Weaving - A Comprehensive Guide to Becoming a Weaver' is a self-paced online course which will teach you everything you need to know to become a confident weaver from the comfort of your home. The course will guide you through materials and equipment, how to set up your loom for weaving, ten different weaving techniques and all their variations including rya knots, soumak, pile weave, pick & pick, weaving circles and many more, finishing and trouble shooting. On enrolment you gain lifetime access to the course and our Facebook support group, exclusively for students enrolled on the course, where you can seek advice in a supportive, creative environment.
