Maree and Charlotte have known each other in a professional capacity for over ten years and are keen to improve the provision for children and young people with SEND by supporting staff within education, health and social care. They are also keen to support parents and carers to navigate SEND processes to enable them to achieve the best possible outcomes for their children. Maree Thorn Maree filter Maree is an experienced teacher and SENCo who has worked in a wide variety of educational settings, including early years, primary, secondary, mainstream and special schools. She is currently commissioned by Bedford Borough Council as a SEND Teaching and Learning Advisor to support and advise local primary schools on their strategic SEND provision. She also provides specialist teaching for children and young people who cannot attend school for a variety of reasons, such as medical needs or school based anxiety. She has a Bachelor’s degree in primary education, Qualified Teacher Status, a Postgraduate Certificate in Special Educational Needs Coordination and has gained the National Award for SEN Co-ordination. She has previous experience of being a school governor, and is currently a trustee for a local charity foundation, sitting on the board of school governors and fostering committee. Maree has experience of supporting senior leaders to review their SEND processes and identify areas in need of improvement within their settings; mentoring and coaching staff to improve their individual practices; and supporting governors and trustees to understand school requirements and their responsibilities. Maree has a diagnosis of ADHD and so fully understands the challenges that people who are neurodivergent can experience. With a family history of special needs, she has long had an interest in ensuring children with SEND are able to achieve their own individual outcomes and giving them the best opportunities for a full and rich life.

With nearly 20 years of working with Children and Young People, Educate Lincs has a wide and varied experience base. Emily is an experienced and passionate SEN and Safeguarding professional who, in a recent OFSTED report was called "Formidable" when it came to ensuring that the most vulnerable students received the support they required. Emily has been working with children and young people for nearly 20 years in a range of settings and roles. including working with vulnerable children in Children's Services,, working in a challenging inner city setting and undertaking teacher training in a special SEMH setting. Most recently as a member of a Senior Leadership Team in a busy Secondary Academy in Lincolnshire. In this role she was both SENCo and Designated Safeguarding Lead. Emily also took on the role as SENCo across the trust which encompassed a Primary Academy. Since then, with the help of her children, Clive, Mel and Karl, the club has gone from strength to strength to reach its current membership of over 650 members. These members range from under 1’s, through to adults. From complete novices, to elite national competition standard. Wade Gymnastics Club is a full time facility, offering a full size sprung floor including a tumble run to pit, 3 sets of uneven bars over firm and pit, metal bar, 4 beams, vault to firm landing, fast track to resi-pit and a variety of other equipment.
