Hi and welcome to Club Salsa Hull, my name is Sue and I first saw salsa dancing in 1998 at a nightclub in Leeds. I was first interested in Dance when I took up Latin, Ballroom and Dance Exercise. At that time there were no Salsa classes in Hull so I travelled to Leeds and had classes with Nicolai, Alan and Mark from The Latin Quarter at Woodkirk in Dewsbury. After a year I replied to an advert for Adult Education to teach beginners classes. I took my Adult Teacher Training Certificate and when the course finished I started classes of my own. In my 20 years of teaching I feel I have raised the profile of Salsa dancing in Hull and The East Riding of Yorkshire. Our classes are all inclusive and a lot of fun. The most important things you need for Salsa dancing are enthusiasm, willingness to learn and persistence. When my Salsa classes started the interest was huge and at our first class we had almost 100 people, mainly beginners! The School has developed to include more venues and more dance styles, Bachata, Rueda, and Kizomba. I find instructing my students is immensely satisfying. It is extremely rewarding to witness dancers develop their own style and skill on the dance floor. I want people to feel as happy when they are dancing Salsa as I do. My aim is to create smiling faces as we dance. Salsa dancing is a great way to keep fit, have fun and make new friends. In recent years the Club Salsa Crew have enjoyed mini dance weekenders in the Seaside town of Scarborough. We also organise a bi-annual 'Salstravaganza' holiday in Spain that takes us dancing to Murcia on the Costa Calida.

Let me tell you about it… We take students at any level, whatever your goals are – be it just wanting to play around the campfire, jamming at your local pub, playing local gigs or touring the world! I had the idea of founding a music school when giving lessons to drum students – I love imparting knowledge and skills and seeing them progress – it’s my passion. I previously taught privately and at other establishments and enjoyed encouraging students to discover the joy of playing and developing enthusiasm for music as a whole. The music teachers at G.O.T. have been carefully selected with these values in mind and all have a similar attitude to mine when it comes to music. The only emails you’ll get from us contain important information about your Bump Classes while you are on the course. Dr Chiara Hunt is a GP based in Sloane Street, Knightsbridge. She has worked on the labour wards at St Mary’s hospital, Paddington and Chelsea and Westminster hospital, as well as in paediatrics. She looks after many young families in the central London area and maintains a keen special interest in paediatrics and women’s health. She is the mother of two young children and lives in Notting Hill. Marina hosts the Eight Week Antenatal Course in South Kensington. She supports and gets to know the participants over eight weeks, supporting the professionals and providing the practical advice and skills honed as a mother. She has two children, Ludo and Iona, and in spite of tragedy, (her son Willem was stillborn in 2014) she has become motherhood’s biggest advocate. As well as teaching Bump Classes, she writes regularly for various publications including The Telegraph, The Times, Baby London and Nurture Magazine about pregnancy and motherhood. She lives with her husband, the TV presenter Ben Fogle in Notting Hill. A former Bump Class girl herself, she knows first hand the benefits of such a comprehensive course, as she says it prepared her for birth, motherhood and everything in-between! Having formed strong friendships with her own Bump Class, she emphasizes the importance of the participants getting to know one another as a strong support group
