CCCA, Cornwall Centre For Culture And The Arts CIC, located on a historic site provides community services and engagement space for all. Be it indoor sports, meetings, training sessions, concerts, theatre or recording space we offer it all. Using this community asset we preserve and bring it into use for the entire community, regardless of race, religion, language, abilities, gender or age, we are here for everyone. Like the Phoenix, Redruth is on the rise, this project is about giving life back to our community. Teaching our children of a lost culture and educating everyone that while we are all different, we are all the same. Since the beginning of mankind we have expressed ourselves through music, dance, theatre and story telling. This is how we celebrate life, this is how we share our stories. Now is the time to reach out and share our emotions, feelings, fears and dreams. Here we dare to hope and believe in ourselves and one another. Our young can dream and learn that nothing is impossible.

A network of Black writers, artists, academics, filmmakers, musicians, scientists, lawyers, entrepreneurs, theatre-makers, students and professionals. We are members of the African and Caribbean diaspora. We are of all ages, ancestries, genders, disabilities and identities. We are diverse yet unified as we share a common goal: to elevate Black creativity through community with an unprecedented all-Black UK network for the arts. Our aims: Representations Connect Black professionals to the creative and cultural industries to increase career opportunities. Connect Black creators with politicians, policy makers and funding to realise our ideas and increase opportunities for future generations. Community Create space for increased collaboration between Black creatives through partnerships, community and the mentoring and development of new talent. Recognition Celebrate and archive the contribution of Black creatives to the arts through live events. The annual Foundation Festival and the first ever Black British Arts and Culture Symposium are designed to better support the charitable work of our community by organisations such as The Black Cultural Archives, Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust and The Midi Music Company.

History The word Ngorli ((ŋgↄli)) originates from the Ewe language spoken in Ghana, Togo and Benin; it means there is hope for the future. Ngorli is a Community Interest Company set up by Rhoda Amezado in 2017 to support children and families in the Watford community. This is achieved through an educational program which takes place every Friday afternoon and Saturday morning at the Christ Church on St Albans Road. The focus of the program is to provide extra support to children requiring more educational input, with the aim of increasing their confidence and consequently their opportunities moving forward. For many of the families, English is their second language, and they may have moved to England in recent years; at Ngorli Community Interest Company, we offer the families and their children assistance in understanding the educational system and help with signposting them to other relevant support within the community. We are ‘The Everybody School of Art’, a place where the opportunity to experience the benefits of art and understand its value is available to all, regardless of age, ability, background, or circumstance. We champion art and creativity in everyday life and think that opportunity and engagement with art can make things better for everyone. Our time, space and resources are dedicated to supporting artistic development and community imagination, as such we are home to a thriving creative community where everyone is welcome. Our work takes place at our venue, a grade II listed textile mill in Halifax. Here you will find our art school with extensive creative production facilities and equipment, our gallery where creative practices and processes are shared and showcased as well as our artist studios, where 20 artists and creative practitioners make their work. Our work also takes place out in the community at schools and community venues, online and in peoples homes. Artworks is a community interest company so we don't work for profit. The income we generate is used to support the communities we are established to serve. Thanks to our funding partners and supporters we are able to make many of our activities free. Where we don’t receive any subsidy we make sure that access is affordable while always paying artists a fair rate.
