I have been teaching Mindfulness-Based courses to diverse communities since 2014. I am a listed Mindfulness Teacher with BAMBA (British Association for Mindfulness-based Approaches). I am also a psychotherapist with diverse clinical experience in several agency settings and a member of BACP. My Mindfulness Practice: I have been meditating (patchily at first!) since I was 16 when I discovered a chant in a magazine which helped calm my exam nerves. Since then I have meditated with varying degrees of success. At first, using it only when stressed, meditation did not have a great impact. Then in 2001 I studied Yoga, Movement and Meditation in Rishikesh, India and made meditation part of a weekly practice alongside yoga. In 2006 I started learning about secular mindfulness meditation and committed to daily meditation practice. This led me to complete an MBSR course (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction), taught by Michael Chaskalson.

The Young Carers Development Trust was established in 2012 by a small group of Trustees. The Trustees’ vision has been shaped by their practical experience as senior executives in industrial, commercial and professional organisations and also by the success of the Rank Foundation’s School Leadership Award scheme, founded in 1978. The Trustees believe their overall objective of improving the life chances of young carers will be achieved by establishing and continually developing a network of high-achieving young carers, willing to become active and inspiring role models for others from backgrounds similar to their own. The strategy is to assist and support young carers who are providing a ‘significant level of care’ for a disabled or seriously ill family member.

We are a well-established charitable organisation providing a range of counselling and training services to secure the delivery and development of high quality professional counselling and counselling associated training in Gloucestershire and the surrounding area. GCS first started in 1978 and became registered as a charity in 1984 with the aim to provide high quality, affordable counselling to the communities of Gloucestershire. At this time there was little provision of this nature outside of London, the small group of therapy professionals grew the service and later launched the training of counsellors so as to ensure an ongoing supply of professionally trained counsellors to the county. GCS was founded to provide access to affordable counselling and training for all members of society within the county, regardless of background or circumstances. We recognise that discrimination operates consciously and unconsciously in our society, which means some people have greater access to opportunities than others. Central Football Academy are based in Grangemouth, Central Scotland. Founded in 2014 as a girls only football club, we opened our boys section in 2015. We have over 175 registered players at the club within both Girls and Boys junior sections as well as our Senior Womens Team. Most teams train twice a week with a fixture usually once a week. Central Football Academy are a SFA Quality Mark Gold Level club. Since inception we have enjoyed great success, winning many titles and have had a multitude of players represent Scotland at various levels, on countless occasions. Inchyra Park in Grangemouth is our home ground. This is where the majority of our team matches and training takes place. Our Senior linked Womens Team play their home matches at Broadwood Stadium (Home of Clyde F.C.) in Cumbernauld. They play in the Scottish Womens Football Championship (3rd tier of womens football). We play our home matches in Cyan and our Senior team play their away matches in white. Our Match-day programme is called ‘View from the Centre’. Since our formation we have been given many affectionate nicknames, but we are most commonly known as “Central” or “The Cyan”. At Central, we have a clear ethos based on equality for all and encourage youth to develop within their own style and most importantly – enjoy playing football, playing with their creativity and as part of a team. We always endeavour to instill belief and confidence in our youth and from the start our motto has been “Imagine…Believe… Achieve…”. Commitment is an essential discipline at Central Football Academy. We at coaching level will give the player, team & academy our full commitment and we expect the same from our players and parents. We are not part of your journey, Central is the journey.

Tinto After School Care provide services such as a Breakfast Club, After School Care and a holiday club with fully qualified and trained staff. Tinto After School Care (Glasgow) – where warmth, friendliness, learning, play and child development comes together. In October 1993, Irene started Tinto After School Care (Glasgow), it had two members of staff and 8 children. Now, 27 years later, Irene is still at the helm and Tinto After School Care (Glasgow) has grown, developed and expanded, there are now four members of staff and 64 children using the service. Our staff are all PVG checked and SSSC Registered, they all have the relevant qualifications and are all fully trained. They have a vast wealth of experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. We are a well-known and well-established part of the community. It has been used by many families over the years and has even looked after generations of the same families. Tinto After School Care (Glasgow) is a warm, friendly place, where children can learn, play, grow and develop.
