I have a passion for helping people and will cheer you on as you find the best version of yourself. I am 27 years old and I have lived my whole life in Edinburgh, Scotland. For the last five years I’ve been a qualified Occupational Therapist working in the NHS. I have worked in an array of services from Mental Health, Paediatrics to Over 65’s. I always knew I wanted to do more to help people change their lives through health and fitness. I initially got into fitness in my final years of university, being fed up of the sedentary lifestyle I was leading. I remember not knowing where to start, feeling lost and intimidated by the gym environment. I started workouts from home, improving my fitness and confidence in my living room. I soon decided I wanted to try something different, so I got an online programme to follow, making the return to the gym much easier. It was then I found a love for weight training, and it wasn’t long before I invested in a Personal Trainer myself to teach me correct technique, keep me accountable and support my journey to achieving my goals. I have been a part of mathematics education for over 30 years as a teacher, mathematics subject leader and Local Authority consultant. As Inspiring Maths Education, I’m continuing my extensive 20+ year track record supporting primary and secondary schools to improve and develop the quality of teaching and learning with a specific focus on mathematics. This includes providing high quality, bespoke subject specific training, support, advice, consultancy and professional development across the country and internationally. As an independent consultant, I wear a number of hats working for a variety of organisations. I am an accredited professional lead for the National Centre for the Excellence in Teaching Mathematics (NCETM). I am a work group lead for NCETM Maths Hubs across the Midlands: North Midlands (NM) and East Midlands West (EMW). These look at Mastery Readiness, Developing Teaching for Mastery, SKTM for TAs and ECTs in the primary phase, as well as Y5-8 continuity. As an associate lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University, I work with student teachers at the very start of their careers in teaching as both an academic mentor and lecturer. I am a School Development Lead for ARK Curriculum Mathematics Mastery programme visiting schools to support them in their mastery journey. I deliver mathematics training for Teachers’ Courses and Resources (TCR) in Staffordshire, offering a range of CPD opportunities both face to face and remotely which allows me to work with teachers both in this country and beyond. I have a real passion for the teaching and learning of mathematics and have had a considerable involvement in teaching mathematics both as a teacher, subject leader and adviser over a long career. My enthusiasm for mathematics is infectious and I have vast experience of working with a variety of stakeholders in schools to guide and inspire the next generation of mathematicians.

After Tracy stepped away from working full time in the city, and Lua left university, we opened the studio to give back what we received from our Yoga practice. We are primarily a distance learning provider, but recognize that not everyone is comfortable with distance learning. Therefore LEB has approved select colleges and institutions in certain jurisdictions to offer student support and, if preferred, face to face classroom learning in addition to LEB’s online delivery platform. These colleges and institutions become LEB Approved Learning Centres. Quality assurance visits and training on the London Examinations Board learning platform are carried out by us before formal centre approval is given. Annual reviews are also undertaken to ensure processes, procedures and quality assurance are maintained. LEB Approved Learning Centres will usually provide additional tutoring will provide administrative and other support to the learners. Learners will have full access to our online learning platform. These Universities therefore only require LEB graduates to top-up their LEB awards rather than undertake the Universities whole programme. I was born in the 1960s in Somerset, UK the eldest of two daughters of Heather and Nick Bune. My mum was a housewife and dad a welder after starting an early career as a coal miner. The coal mining industry ran in the blood of my family as both grandfathers and all of my great grandfathers were coal miners. I grew up in a happy, loving home where money was always tight. There were no daytrips, no foreign holidays for me – in fact we didn’t have a telephone until I was a teenager and we didn’t have a car until I’d left home. At school I was one of those children who sits in the middle, grey and unnoticed, yet plodding on. I got seven O levels and a qualification in touch typing –my careers ‘adviser’ told me I should am to be a secretary or a nurse. Not a chance! However, I didn’t do as well in my A levels as expected and ended up going to a more ‘lowly’ college of higher education, now Bath Spa University. I took a degree in English Literature & History and loved it. I did well in my degree, getting a high 2:1 and took a PGCE and trained to be a teacher though quickly realised this was not for me. I always wanted to be a journalist – I used that year to apply for any relevant job. I eventually got a traineeship on a local newspaper in Somerset, then two years later moved on to a daily newspaper in Swindon, where I went on to be crime reporter and then business editor. I was also running as a volunteer a radio programme for Hospital Radio Swindon.
