She Almighty

she almighty

As a coach I’ve been powering women for over half a decade to take a stand for their best selves, careers and lives. I’ve worked with thousands of women to shift from survive mode to strive and thrive and honestly, I’m just getting started ;) I love what I do and I’ve got big dreams, you could say I’m a woman on a mission! But I didn't always have it this figured out… The truth is I didn’t know what I wanted to do when I grew up. I spent my twenties trying to figure it all out, often feeling lost, frustrated and like I wasn’t realising my potential. In 2013 I’d reached a low point, I wasn’t happy in my job, living situation, relationship, I certainly wasn’t operating as the best version of me and I knew I had to make some big changes. That’s when I discovered coaching. Coaching and personal development became the catalyst for hugely positive change in my life. Of course, Rome wasn’t built in a day. I had plenty of figuring out to do, life decisions to make, and big action to take to create the career and life of my dreams. In fact, I switched jobs 3 times before I finally plucked up the courage to set up my business. But at the end of 2016, She Almighty was born - just before I turned 30. There’s nothing quite like a birthday milestone to create some urgency! I chose my freedom, and I haven’t looked back since. She Almighty has become my vehicle - to empower me and empower other women worldwide and I’d love you to be a part of that! Are you here because you feel like you need to take a stand for you, your best self and life? Are you ready to create the space, do the inner work, get the clarity and take the necessary action? If so, that's exciting - I promise, but then you are in my sweet spot! My mission is to free you from your limitations, expectations, the shoulds, the coulds and the what ifs, so that you can step courageously and confidently into your power, shine bright, thrive and create the impact you are destined to have. You only get one go at this thing called life, there’s no time to settle or put up - we must embrace, live and love who we are and what we do. Because when we do that, we live a life of purpose, joy and fulfilment and we lead others to make our world a better place. She Almighty is now an incredible community of aspirational mission-led and impact-driven women, and we recently launched our new home She Almighty Collective - be sure to check it out! Needless to say, I am delighted that you are here and I’m looking forward to supporting you on your unique life journey, so that you can be your best, happiest, most powerful and peaceful self.

CHaRM specialises in all things HR and Organisational Development related and we are here to help forward thinking business get the best from their people. Find out more about us by clicking on the pages below or browse our website to see the type of support we offer.CHaRM Management Specialists provides you with dedicated human resource management and organisational development support to drive the performance of your business through your people. CHaRM began life in April 1996 to provide HR support to small and medium sized businesses that did not have the benefit of receiving professional HR advice and support in the same way as large organisations did. At that time there was no-one else providing this type of support, so to be an external provider of HR support as if we were an internal part of the organisation was quite unique. We took the best HR practices from the bluechip organisations in which we had previously worked and converted them to make them useful for smaller organisations. We were very pleased to celebrate our 21st birthday in 2017, with our philosophy of building great relationships with our clients still very much at the heart of how we operate. For us, our clients always come first. On 1 April 2021 we celebrated 25 years of working in partnership with our clients, and during that time our support has grown and evolved to encompass a wide range of Human Resource and Organisational Development activities, along with delivering training programmes, but the core element of how we operate has not changed. We build long term relationships with our clients, providing HR and OD support at all levels within their businesses, and our range of training solutions has helped many managers progress through their organisations, both for their personal benefit and that of their oganisations, who have retained them. More information about what we do can be found across the pages of our website. Please browse around for more information and if you can't find what you are looking for give us a call on 0115 984 3119. Our friendly team of HR professionals is always on hand to help. All of the testimonials and feedback on this website are genuine and have been freely given. We cannot attribute the testimonials we receive unfortunately due to the nature of the work that we undertake. Our clients want confidentiality and appreciate the fact that their people operations are kept private. "I want to thank you so much for all your support during my time as Administration Manager. You have been a pleasure to work with and helped me no end!" "The team are a delight to work with and have offered valuable support and guidance through many different, and sometimes challenging, situations. The experience has been completely positive and I would highly recommend CHaRM for all HR and business management requirements." "As a small organisation that doesn't have an HR department, we have found CHaRM to be an invaluable asset to our business. Working in partnership with the high calibre individuals who make up the CHaRM team, we have been able to manage some potentially difficult employment situations with confidence and efficiency."

City of Birmingham Choir

city of birmingham choir

Birmingham

It is our Centenary in 2021 and 2022. Since 1921, the City of Birmingham Choir has entertained audiences with a wide and adventurous repertoire. Performing in historic Town Hall and in magnificent Symphony Hall, we have enjoyed a warm musical partnership with the city’s outstanding orchestra, the CBSO. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, the choir continued to rehearse and present performances online. We have enjoyed rehearsing and performing together again since the autumn of 2021 as well as giving live concerts in Symphony Hall, Town Hall and Tewkesbury Abbey. Our Centenary concert centrepiece is Vaughan Williams’ A Sea Symphony in November 2022. Read about the choir: History and Concert Archive. Our Conductor and Musical Director is Adrian Lucas. Adrian brings a wealth of experience as one of the country’s leading choral directors and conductors. Composer, teacher, conductor and all-round versatile musician, Colin Baines is our Accompanist. We have sung the major choral works as well as challenging newer compositions and a wide range of smaller scale music. The standard of our performances draws consistent praise. In Symphony Hall… As well as the CBSO, we have worked with the Philharmonia, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Swan, BBC Concert Orchestra, Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra and Westminster Chamber Orchestra. We joined the CBSO Chorus and CBSO for the much-praised centenary performances of Elgar’s Dream of Gerontius, The Apostles and The Kingdom. We have performed some of the more intimate choral repertoire in ‘out of town’ venues such as Tewkesbury Abbey and Gloucester Cathedral. Easter 2017 saw our second hugely successful and enjoyable overseas tour – singing Handel’s Messiah in the Stephansdom in Vienna – following a tour to Paris in April 2015. A highly acclaimed performance of James MacMillan’s Seven Last Words from the Cross, our stylish annual Handel’s Messiah performances, collaborations with Birmingham Schools Symphony Orchestra (Walton’s Belshazzar’s Feast in 2017), Monteverdi’s Vespers of 1610 with period instruments – these are some highlights. Amongst our 90th birthday celebrations was the ground-breaking Equinox concert bringing together musicians from many cultures. A Christmas Treats CD was recorded in the same year. Exploring both more familiar territory (Handel, Bach, Monteverdi, Brahms, Mozart, Haydn, Elgar, Vaughan Williams, Holst, Britten, Finzi), and less well-known, (such as Samuel Wesley, Howells, Rautavaara, Kenneth Leighton and Jonathan Dove), we continue to plan enterprising programmes. June 2015, saw us in jazz mode, performing the popular Zimbe! and a new composition, The Rain Queen, by our own composer, John Barber. Paris Tour 2015 - Notre Dame, Sunday amParis Tour 2015 – Notre Dame, Sunday am We also perform for other organisations, including Raymond Gubbay – Spectacular Classics, Christmas Classics, Beethoven’s 9th, Mozart’s Requiem, Carmina Burana and Karl Jenkins conducting his own music to a packed Symphony Hall. Conductor, Adrian Lucas The Choir is committed to supporting choral music making and has participated in Making Music’s Adopt-a-music-creator scheme as well as running singing competitions and workshops for people of all ages. We are proud to be an independent organisation promoting and financing major choral concerts with professional orchestras and soloists.

Ellesmere Port,

Meet Amanda Flewitt, Owner & Trainer: As my 45th birthday is coming up, it got me thinking about how lucky I am to be doing a job I love. I have come a long way, literally, as I was born in New Zealand and moved to the Wirral when I was 2 years old! I’ve always been creative. I gained my Graphic Design degree from Newcastle University, then I worked in the advertising and design industry up and down the country, in Liverpool, Edinburgh, London, and Manchester. But, as it often does in life, fate intervened. I was made redundant 3 times before I was 3- years old and I decided to retrain while looking for another job. I learned how to do nails, and I carried on doing them part-time when I got a job as an Art Director in Manchester. Once I had completed my nail qualifications, I built up a client base in my spare time, carrying out treatments after work and evenings, and eventually renting a small room in a hairdresser’s. My small business grew and I decided to take the plunge to rent a larger premises and even employ staff. On the day I picked up the salon shop sign I got made redundant from the Manchester job! Wow that was not what I was expecting. But forced me to focus on making the most of it and I have never looked back. After owning a few salons in the area I an now based in the a gorgeous room in the very professional Stanlaw Abbey Business Centre, where I offer Private small group and one to one accredited training and even manage to find time to pamper my lovely loyal clients that have followed me over the last 13 years. And I love it! l have also taught beauty and nails, multi media design and even retail at West Cheshire college for 10 years, and community leisure courses in basic skincare and makeup. I love teaching, and I get such a buzz from helping someone to learn a new skill. But even better, is the feeling I get when I know that I have helped them to pursue a completely new career, or to start their own business. I personally teach all my courses, either in small groups or one to one. I love passing on hints, tips, and professional techniques to my students. I always offer them support after the course, and I invite them back to resit it if they feel like they need to. They also get access to a private Facebook group, where they can get support, access videos, and much more. My aim is to have every student leave my courses with not only a sense of achievement, but the confidence and ability to be a fantastic therapist. My work makes me feel proud, and so does juggling my career with being a mother to my wonderful, and cheeky 6-year-old son. He is my motivation, my inspiration, and my constant reminder of why I do what I do every single day. Please feel free to call me Amanda 07434994783 for more information or to make an appointment to discuss your course interests further.

In 2007, at the age of 22, David Duncan gave up a secure job in the IT industry and took the first steps to make an old dream come true. David has always had a strong creative streak; from helping his grandmother bake and decorate the most beautiful cakes in her kitchen when he was a little boy, to sculpting in clay in his school’s art department – the seeds were sown that would eventually grow into the highly successful and award-winning 3D Cakes. Worthwhile creative experience By Lisa - July 2016 Never did I think that the simple activity of making a bowl could open up such a myriad of experiences. From getting my hands dirty digging in the clay, to coercing this medium so it took on a form. For a first experience the clay and Josie’s skilful but gentle guidance, dictated the road travelled, a useable beautiful, and personal bowl emerged. And then a colour feast to paint it. Thank you Josie Thanks so much Josie Get Creative with Clay Beginner or Intermediate Make and Decorate a Bowl By Aaron - July 2016 I was bought this course as a birthday present and did not know what to expect as I have never done any ceramics work before. Safe to say I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon, the space was quiet and Josie was extremely knowledgeable about her subject, guiding us firmly yet also allowing us creative freedom. I would highly recommend this course to anyone. I also cheekily made two bowls in the time I was there, which Josie kindly did not get mad about! Amazing and relaxing experience!!! Get Creative with Clay Beginner or Intermediate Make and Decorate a Bowl (Booked online with Hot courses) By Diego - July 2016 It was my partner's and my first time doing pottery. At first we thought to have only one class to have a new experience but after taking a one-day course with Josie, we are talking to do that again and again. It had such a good atmosphere and Josie conducted the course in a friendly and professional way. She passed us her experience and knowledge making sure we were having a great time! Best workshop ever! Ceramics: 1-1 Intensive Throwing Lessons / Beginner /Intermediate By Tyler - April 2016 As a first timer was fairly nervous and there's only so much research you can do. Josie was patient, knowledgeable and helpful - I felt very at ease and I learnt A LOT. The workshop was very informative I was provided with information sheets of all of the process's I requested and if it wasn't at hand Josie will research for you to answer all of your questions and provide you with as much help as possible. Really good price for everything you get as well which is all of your materials and some of the best teaching I've experienced. Very thorough explanations and demonstrations with clear instructions, personally I feel its important to have a 1:1 class as well if you want a more intensive learning experience. For myself I felt I need to be guided through the process with constant observation to receive help as you go and then learn from your mistakes much faster. Josie helped me with my current university project, she is a truly a great potter with a great passion for passing on the knowledge, I can't thank her enough.

Pop Up Play Village in and around Cleethorpes

pop up play village in and around cleethorpes

Our aim is to provide a safe and inviting space in which children and their parents can unleash their creativity and let their imaginations go wild. Pop Up Play village is made up of role play areas. We’d call these sets or scenes if we worked in the glamorous worlds of TV or theatre – but sadly we don’t! We have a hospital, vets, baby nursery, supermarket, café, construction site, library, baby play area, art studio and outdoor explorer zone. Each one filled with high quality toys, props and dressing up kits – specially sourced and impeccably clean. What Makes Us Different? We’re often asked whether we’re a playgroup or a drop in toddler play session. Yes, we have toys to play with, things to dress up in and caffeine on tap but our village is about much more than that… Our play sessions have been specially designed by an expert in early years education to help children learn and develop through play. Each of our areas provides them with the tools to develop socially and learn more about themselves, their peers and the world we live in. And whilst this is about education and development, our key priority is having fun. That means fun for everyone. There are no adult wallflowers here. Parents and carers are welcomed into our village and actively encouraged to lose their inhibitions and play together with their children in a way that’s often just not possible at home. And whilst we love our village and all the characters who live in it, we realise it’s good to shake things up a bit from time to time. That’s why we often invite guests to play – dinosaurs, pirates, mermaids, unicorns and dragons – to name a few. We also mark events and the seasons as we pass through the year. Laying The Foundations It was back in 2007 when I started teaching my first ever class that the first foundations of the Play Village were laid. Watching the children in my reception class acting out real-life scenarios in the role play corner, I realised the true value of learning through play. I’d always worked hard to create engaging and realistic areas in which the children could let their imaginations run free. I absolutely loved teaching and gained six fantastic years of experience before having my first child. When my son was 2, I found at weekends it was really hard to find fun, exciting places to take him. It was on one cold, dreary Sunday afternoon in February that the idea of running pop up role play events came into my head along with the name Pop Up Play Village! I thought about it for many months after this vision and it wasn’t until after my daughter was born in June 2016 that I decided it was time to go for it by opening up the world of mobile role play to children and their parents in my local area. Of course, Pop Up Play Village didn’t pop up overnight and as with any build, a great deal of research and testing came before. I wanted every element of the village to be the best it could possibly be and so sourcing the right toys and props took time. Safety, durability and play-ability were key and thankfully, as well as many years of teaching experience behind me, I had two excellent testers in the shape of my children – who were inspiration and guinea pig in equal measure! The doors finally opened on Pop Up Play Village in 2017 and we’re proud to say we’ve undergone huge expansion since. We’re now popping up all over Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire. We run sessions for families and schools, entertain children at weddings and events and host their birthday parties. We’ve already been accredited by the Approved Franchise Association and also have the support of two major high street banks – Lloyds and NatWest. But we’re not sitting back. We’ve got ambitious plans and there’s plenty more to be done if we are to bring the Pop Up Play Village experience to many more families across the country and beyond.

Nina Cooke Business Growth Mentoring

nina cooke business growth mentoring

Hi, I am Nina Cooke. I’m a Mindset Coach for entrepreneurs. I help entrepreneurs breakthrough limiting beliefs to achieve their business goals, to create more impact & make more money. I’m a coach for business owners who have internal blocks around growing their business. My superpower is DIGGING DEEP to find the root cause of why they’re struggling. And then showing them how they can clear out their resistance. So they can charge their value, serve a wider and deeper audience, and have easier relationships. I get a huge kick out of seeing my clients have a 180 degree turnaround – from looking to the outside world for the solution to their business struggles to looking within themselves and finding the answer. And then they experience richer, freer, and easier lives which is a bigger result than they signed up for. (And they aren’t complaining 🙂 ). And I’d love for you to have that, too I know you’re a busy business owner and don’t have much time to work on yourself . Which is why my coaching doesn’t require you to carve out any prep or homework time. All changes happen within the sessions. And you make the changes deep within your subconscious, so you don’t have to use will power or effort to keep the changes in place – they’re permanent. Here’s what Linda has to say after working with me: “I loved working with you, Nina. The work that we did together was the most transformational of any work that I have done with anybody – ever. It went way beyond mere concepts, and answered the toughest question I have run across to date – how do I change my limiting beliefs? The change that you facilitated is at such a deep level, and affected the ‘me’ that I am, to such a degree that I quickly ‘became’ the change that we created. With that kind of freedom, I’m excited about how much fun and success I will be experiencing as I keep on stepping out to grow my business.” – Linda Flynt Why I started to coach people like you I’ve always been curious why some people are courageous and see a world of opportunities, while others are fearful and see a world of limitations. I trained in NLP and hypnotherapy to sort out my own fearful stuff and find my courage. But my life changed when I bumped into Morty Lefkoe because he showed me how to clear out my limiting beliefs that had kept me small and fearful. A couple of years after training with Morty, I worked with a successful business owner. I’d known her for quite a while and I’d always thought things were going really well for her. However, she was frustrated because her business wasn’t growing the way she wanted it to. She thought it was because she kept hiring the wrong team, when really it was something internal keeping her stuck. Since then, from the many conversations I’ve had with successful, but stuck, business owners, I’ve seen, time and time again, that one of the biggest reasons they’re struggling to grow is this: They believe it’s something practical, something that’s going on out there in the world (virtual or in-house teams, systems, etc), when actually it’s an inside job, something in their head they’re doing unconsciously. Working with business owners on a one-to-one basis allows me to go deep and help them breakthrough their hidden blocks so they can build a deeply satisfying and fulfilling business. My favourite things (in this order): My family – especially when we’re sitting round the table enjoying my husband’s delicious food (I bought him a cookery course for his birthday – best money I ever spent). My friends – I’m grateful to live in friendly Saffron Walden. Green tea (I carry my green tea bags in my handbag, just in case) – in my favourite giant-sized plain white mug. Yoga – it’s hard work but I know it’s doing some good 🙂 Knitting – I picked up my needles after 12 years, encouraged by Ann, my patient knitting mentor and friend. I’m excited to see my stripey jumper grow day by day! Meet Eddie. His favourite things (in this order): Long walks – particularly if squirrels and rabbits are around. Swimming – he likes to swim in circle, barking. He looks crazy, but he’s happy. Food (especially his favourite snack, a juicy sausage, after a long walk)
