After gaining my CertEd in the 1990s I taught in FE Colleges and the private sector for many years before working with Pioneer Projects. Initially I was working as a volunteer with what was to become their Own Now project for people living with dementia and their carer’s. I had finally found my niche working with some amazing people, on both sides of the art tables and it was one of the most rewarding ‘jobs’ I had ever done: art, coaching and working with very inspiring people. After progressing from Assistant to Lead Artist I was asked to start similar art projects for other organisations and eventually setup my own workshops which I truly love, whether it’s watching groups gel and relax, or progressing as artists.

I am an East Sussex based artist who specialises in murals, window painting and creative workshops. My aim in all areas of my work, from planning to the final product, is to create an enjoyable, smooth and professional experience for clients and those who will benefit from the outcome. When beginning a project I work closely with the client to discover the objective and story of the project and the routes that we could take to get to the end. I make an in detail plan and quotation of what the final product could look like, how much it'll cost, how long it'll take and more, so the client feels completely happy with what the stages of the process are.

Welcome to the Collective Community Hub! The Collective Community Hub is a free to use space to bring people, businesses, groups, students and much more together without the barrier of cost. Collective First National Real Estate are the developers and funders of this amazing space to bring community together. The Collective Community Hub houses two large function rooms with media setups, two board meeting rooms, and a co-working space with free Wi-Fi. Rooms can be used for anything from meetings, workshops and conferences, to classes, functions and fundraisers for FREE. The pop-in co-working spaces are available to use anytime during the centre’s opening hours (Monday to Friday 9:30 am - 3:00 pm, Wednesday 10:00 am - 3:00 pm).

Karmen started her health & fitness career in 2004 as a water aerobics instructor. In 2006 she began teaching Pilates Body Technique and one-on-one Pilates intuitions at one of the best Pilates studios in Slovenia. Soon after she moved to London, and here she gained Level 3 Personal training certification. She is qualified as an ante/post natal instructor, circuit-training instructor, indoor-cycling instructor, outdoor-personal training instructor and GP referrals coach. During nearly a decade of working with different range of clients, she has attended numerous workshops such as posture correction, lower back pain management, and nutrition. Karmen offers Personal Training and Pilates Body /Reformer techniques at MMA Urban Kings Gym in lively King’s Cross area and Bootcamp Pilates located on different areas across London. Her wide range of personal clients includes London’s city workers, artists, busy mums, expecting mums to recreational and professional fighters. K Body Studio Personal Training and Pilates specialises in posture correction, muscle imbalance reduction, lower back management, fat loss training and nutrition. Red Brick Glass

In 2000 after graduating with a 1st class degree in glass from Edinburgh College of Art Wendy moved into her first glass studio, a small red brick outbuilding in her home in Dorset. Wendy then received the prestigious Crafts Council Start Up Award to purchase equipment to start Red Brick Glass (the glass kiln is still going strong 20 years on!) Wendy worked as an architectural glass artist, collaborating with interior designers and architects to create large-scale glass installations and made small glass work to sell in galleries and shops. After a few years Wendy launched her website (with a new-fangled online shop) and started to run fused glass making workshops. 4 years ago Wendy moved into her new home and studio, a gorgeous barn conversion in the beautiful village of West Lulworth, Dorset. This was a dream come true as Wendy always wanted to live within walking distance from the sea. She still doesn’t take it for granted and walks to get her dose of sea air most days. Red Brick Glass continues to grow and develop. Wendy designed the make at home kits during lockdown 2020 as she couldn’t run workshops and due to their success she now needs a little help in the studio to keep up with orders. Vicki is the brilliant new studio assistant and Wendy’s teenage daughters help out at weekends and holidays (filling up colourful glass pots is the favourite job). We are very grateful to Red Brick Glass customers who have supported us over the years. We are excited for the future and hope you will follow us on our journey.

Noise Academy was created in 2015 by Joe Townsley who is a midlands based DJ and Music producer. Joe studied Music production at Access Creative College in Lincoln and felt inspired by the innovation of the sessions and how engaged he became through the use of music technology. After completing the course, Joe went into organising Dance music events in the club scene whilst playing at many other live DJ events and festivals. Joe came across the opportunity to do some work experience with ‘Jeff Rich’ who was the main drummer for the famous ‘Status Quo’. He helped Jeff set up several Drumming workshops in primary schools across the UK and this opened Joe’s eyes to a whole new world. He felt so inspired by the workshops and a light bulb moment occurred. Dj skills in schools? This could work really well… Joe found out about the Prince’s Trust enterprise scheme and approached them with his idea. He was offered a place on the course, and with their support and guidance, Noise Academy was born. Building up from just one school, Noise Academy now work with over 50 schools every week along with facilitating holiday clubs across Christmas, Easter and Summer. Noise Academy have since been supported by Youth Music to help develop their own educational hub alongside receiving numerous awards including; CO-OP Community Champions and The AIM Local Hero Awards (BBC Music introducing) #makesomenoise “I am so lucky to have found my niche, and to be able to do something that I love every day. The Anglo-Iraqi Studies Centre (AISC) is an academic and community project based in London. AISC aims to be a point of contact in London for all knowledge about Anglo-Iraqi studies. The centre is dedicated to gathering, presenting and reviewing all material written in English about Iraq in the last two centuries (1800 – 2000) and aims to bring together Iraqi and British communities through the mediums of cultural events, knowledge presentations, outreach visits, studies, workshops and sessions with academic professionals from Iraq and the UK. The centre aims to play a key role with academic and public figures in the UK to enhance public knowledge and understanding of Iraq, Anglo-Iraqi studies, Iraqi-British connections, assisting the Iraqi-British community to rediscover their identities thus enabling further positive integration of Iraqis into British life. This website contains further information about the AISC, a list of selected books published in English about Iraq, the full text of a selection of English language books about Iraq, a photographic archive related to Iraq, a list of publications by AISC’s staff and volunteers and video links to events by AISC staff. The centre contains a library with more than 1,000 books and periodicals published in English about Iraq and aims to collect as many English language publications on Iraq as possible. These will be presented to the public and also made available online. Through the mediums of cultural events, knowledge presentations, workshops, studies and outreach visits the centre aims to enhance the education of the public and British/Iraqi communities and assist Iraqi-British citizens’ further positive integration into UK life.

Maria has an MSc in Neuroscience from the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College, London. She has worked in prestigious scientific institutes throughout her scientific career, including The institute of Neurology, UCL, London School of Pharmacy, Imperial College and The Royal Marsden Hospital, London. She has been an author in many scientific publications, including a first author paper, which is recognition for her scientific research. Breast Cancer Research and Treatment, 2013. Maria has taught many medical doctors and students scientific concepts in biology, physics and chemistry. She has supervised them, and helped them pass examinations and obtain MDs and PhDs. Through her writing and teaching, Maria's aim is to educate others in gaining the scientific background to help them understand the importance of connecting the mind, body and soul with mindfulness techniques to bring them peace and balance in their everyday lives. The spiritualist Maria is a gifted third-generation spiritual psychic, clairvoyant, intuitive reader, angelic reiki practitioner, animal reiki practitioner, crystal healer, channel, public speaker, teacher and author.
