These short-courses are designed to provide a snapshot into the key areas of the language for a variety of levels. &nbsp;Designed to be self-contained; you will not be required to purchase textbooks or extra materials; everything you need will be provided, including access to my online learning materials. &nbsp;You will also receive the PowerPoint slides, the agenda for the following week &amp; any homework set after each class. &nbsp;I have designed all the slides myself for thee 10-week courses, as I wanted to use my 10+ years of experience to develop something different from the traditional &ldquo;here&rsquo;s a textbook&rdquo; approach that lots of evening classes use. &nbsp;This class is designed to get you speaking in a way that will propel you forward with your language skills in practical settings.&nbsp;Each learner is entitled to a free 15-minute introduction session on Zoom so that we can get to know each other and assess your current level. &nbsp;I will also talk you through the controls on Zoom if you are not familiar with how to use it. &nbsp;Each course is comprised of 10 x 1 hour sessions. &nbsp;The groups will contain approximately 3-4 students (with an absolute maximum of 6 students) and are designed to encourage learners to strengthen their speaking skills in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere &amp; learn language skills in a social environment. &nbsp;If you miss a session, it may be possible to join another class running the same session at another time that week, or you can request receiving the learning materials via email. &nbsp;The courses are designed to have practical application for travel &amp; learning for personal interest. &nbsp;I firmly believe having a grammar component is key for long-term success with learning a language, but I promise to break it down so that it isn&rsquo;t overwhelming!When a 10-week course finishes, it will be followed by three weeks of optional revision classes. &nbsp;After this, you can simply choose to join the next level course, until you reach a level where you can join our conversation classes.You may also like to consider a blended learning approach; group classes are friendlier for your budget than private one-to-one tuition, but top up any time with one of my <a href="http://www.pronouncelanguages.co.uk/online-lessons" target="" fr-original-style="" style="user-select: auto; font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box; cursor: pointer; text-decoration: inherit;">private lessons</a> to consolidate your learning, ask further questions, revisiting themes or investigate a topic of particular interest to you that may not be covered in the short course. Laura Williams is literary agent at the Greene and Heaton Literary Agency. She is seeking literary fiction, commercial fiction, psychological thrillers and high concept Young Adult.
Laura is actively building a fiction list and a small non-fiction list. She is currently looking for literary fiction, edgy commercial fiction, psychological thrillers and high-concept contemporary young adult, as well as narrative non-fiction of all types. Her taste is quite dark, and she loves gothic, ghost stories, horror and anything sinister. She also loves books that make her cry, from big love stories to intense family dramas. She is open to historical or horror YA, but not magical or fantasy. 
Meditative or moving novels about modern life, appeal to Laura, sad stories with love and the importance of caring for each other shining through. She also loves stories about female friendships or conversely groups of women who don't get on, such as the hugely fun BAD SUMMER PEOPLE by Emma Rosenblum. She is always on the lookout for a big tragic love story to make her cry happy or sad tears. At the more commercial end of fiction, think funny novels with warmth and romantic comedies with a bit of depth – think Marian Keyes.
Most of all Laura is looking for novels she hasn’t read before – something unusual structurally or thematically, something that shines a light on a subject the author is passionate about, something that’ll break her heart or raise her blood in an entirely new way. Laura is always looking to promote diverse voices from across the globe, and is particularly keen on LGBTQI+ stories.

These short-courses are designed to provide a snapshot into the key areas of the language for a variety of levels. &nbsp;Designed to be self-contained; you will not be required to purchase textbooks or extra materials; everything you need will be provided, including access to my online learning materials. &nbsp;You will also receive the PowerPoint slides, the agenda for the following week &amp; any homework set after each class. &nbsp;I have designed all the slides myself for thee 10-week courses, as I wanted to use my 10+ years of experience to develop something different from the traditional &ldquo;here&rsquo;s a textbook&rdquo; approach that lots of evening classes use. &nbsp;This class is designed to get you speaking in a way that will propel you forward with your language skills in practical settings.&nbsp;Each learner is entitled to a free 15-minute introduction session on Zoom so that we can get to know each other and assess your current level. &nbsp;I will also talk you through the controls on Zoom if you are not familiar with how to use it. &nbsp;Each course is comprised of 10 x 1 hour sessions. &nbsp;The groups will contain approximately 3-4 students (with an absolute maximum of 6 students) and are designed to encourage learners to strengthen their speaking skills in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere &amp; learn language skills in a social environment. &nbsp;If you miss a session, it may be possible to join another class running the same session at another time that week, or you can request receiving the learning materials via email. &nbsp;The courses are designed to have practical application for travel &amp; learning for personal interest. &nbsp;I firmly believe having a grammar component is key for long-term success with learning a language, but I promise to break it down so that it isn&rsquo;t overwhelming!When a 10-week course finishes, it will be followed by three weeks of optional revision classes. &nbsp;After this, you can simply choose to join the next level course, until you reach a level where you can join our conversation classes.You may also like to consider a blended learning approach; group classes are friendlier for your budget than private one-to-one tuition, but top up any time with one of my <a href="http://www.pronouncelanguages.co.uk/online-lessons" target="" fr-original-style="" style="user-select: auto; font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box; cursor: pointer; text-decoration: inherit;">private lessons</a> to consolidate your learning, ask further questions, revisiting themes or investigate a topic of particular interest to you that may not be covered in the short course. This autumn, we will be going back to exploring fundamental functions and relationships within our selves and our movement through the Feldenkrais Method, encountering classic lessons and discovering new ways to understand ourselves in action.
Each week we will encounter a different function or aspect that is key to our sense of being able to move with ease and freedom through our lives. For instance, we will explore our ability to turn through our spine, to round, extend or bend, as well as enlarging our repertoire of possibilities - looking to move with pleasure and reversibility. 
The first few lessons will explore Fundamental Functions. There will be an early 'half-term' the week of 17th Oct, and then the following weeks we will move through a series of outstanding Classic lessons, that will be useful to return to for yourself.
Audio recordings of each class are available afterwards, so you don't have to attend the class in person, if you can't make that evening.

The mindfulness practices include guided meditations and some gentle movement.&nbsp;What is home practice?&nbsp;Each week we learn a new practice together during the session and participants are given an audio recording of that practice to complete at home. This is because it takes 8 weeks of consistent practice for the benefits of mindfulness to take place. To really get the most out of this course, participants are advised to make space for home practice. (20 - 40 minutes a day)&nbsp;&nbsp;Please note that although mindfulness is therapeutic in nature, it is not therapy and should not be used as a replacement for professional therapy or medication. A pre-assessment is required for all participants to ensure your safety and suitability for the course. LOOKING FOR: MG, YA AND ADULT SCI-FI / FANTASY, CHILDREN'S NON-FICTION
After graduating from St Andrews University with a degree in English Literature and Art History, Maddy followed her love of literature to an internship at non-fiction literary agency Graham Maw Christie. At GMC, Maddy worked her way up to Agent and built a list of authors who wrote for both for adults and children, spanning history, tarot, and nature writing. An avid reader of anything magical, Maddy joined Madeleine Milburn in 2022 to build a list specialising in SFF.

Maddy would like to see SFF across all genres for all ages, including: grim dark, thriller, historical, romance, cosy fantasy, sci-fi, epic, YA fantasy, dark academia, contemporary fantasy, fantasy middle-grade, mythology, fairy tale and queer fantasy. Inspiring children’s non-fiction.
