The Centre The NFPC is a BFPA certified CETOP Education Centre and is an approved training provider for many ‘blue chip’, industry leading corporations. The Centre employs Training Engineers who have many years of Industry experience, offering support and advice to all who attend our Training Courses. The Centre has 3 fully equipped technical centres with over 3 million pounds worth of up to date equipment supplied to us by our Industry Partners. Community Literacy Centers, Inc. (CLC) 501 (c)(3) is a private, nonprofit organization established in 1987 by judges, educators, attorneys and citizens in Oklahoma County who acknowledged the benefits of a more literate society. In 1997, CLC established and implemented the LEAP (Learning, Enriching, Achieving, Preparing) program which now serves as the foundation for all CLC services. Through LEAP, cooperative partnerships are formed with various Oklahoma County agencies to provide literacy services to agency clients and adults (18 years of age or older) in the surrounding community. Classes are typically conducted at partner sites, however, some classes are currently taught virtually via Zoom. CLC classes include Adult Basic Education (ABE), English as a Second Language (ESL), U.S. Citizenship and/or High School Equivalency (HSE) instruction. Workplace Learning Solutions (WLS) and Tutor Training are also encompassed within the LEAP program. OUR VISION Our vision is to change lives by increasing awareness of the benefits of a more literate community and providing a welcoming environment where every adult who wants to read has an opportunity to learn. WHAT WE DO CLC provides free classroom instruction to approximately 1,000 adults in the metropolitan area each year; volunteer tutors are available in the classroom for students who need additional support. CLC instructors cultivate a supportive, nurturing classroom environment in which to foster learning and positively impact the lives of our students. CLC administers assessments and surveys at regular intervals to monitor student progress and needs; CLC adult learners come from varied backgrounds and skill levels.

We want as many kids to experience cricket as possible and, ultimately, go on play cricket as adults. In between, that means we have to develop a culture of excellence in building participation through mass outreach, working with local schools and the community, inspiring a lifelong love of cricket by identifying and nurturing talents and enabling the kids to develop as far as they can. By enjoying what they do and having fun. We have a track record of doing that over 15 years at Staplehurst Cricket & Tennis Club. Now, as Weald Coaching, we are commiting all our time and energies to building on it. We are intent on creating a series of programmes that cater appropriately for every child, whatever their current level of cricket capability, from complete beginner to high performance athlete. And attracting the dedicated resources and coaching capacity for that to happen. But it also means doing some things differently. Our approach pre-dated the development of ECB national programmes and we think we have more experience and knowledge to deliver an all round offer to kids at the youngest ages without the constraints of weekly coaching schedules and some session plans which ignore the kids’ levels of awareness of what cricket is. Similarly, we have created a competitive cricket offer at ages 8 through to 16 which accommodates the kids’ capabilities, not simply their age. Where the emphasis is on participation and development and not the strongest cricketers or simply winning. Yet, we intend delivering more appropriate playing opportunities, week-on-week, than has been possible previously.

The term Workie Ticket is a Geordie colloquialism, which means someone who likes to push one’s luck- a chancer or a cheeky trouble-maker. When JoJo Kirtley was a young lass, her Grandad Joe would call her, “a proper little workie ticket” and the nick-name stuck. So, when thinking of a name for her theatre company, it seemed the perfect choice and in 2017, Workie Ticket Theatre was founded. Our mission is to shake things up, be bold, push our luck within the theatre world and empower people through our work. JoJo Kirtley Founder & Co-Artistic Director “It’s hard being a woman in terms of what is happening in the current climate, but also I think there is a gap in the market for what we do and how we do it- working with women and encouraging them through theatre to tell their stories. Now is the time to speak up and speak out.” A writer, producer, facilitator and founder of Workie Ticket Theatre Company, JoJo Kirtley has been working for over a decade to create real social impact through theatre. Her work has been performed at The Lowry, Contact Theatre, The Exchange, (North Shields), Live Theatre and the 24:7 Theatre Festival. She is passionate about developing work within local communities to create a platform and raise awareness of issues that affect women in the North East region. JoJo is also a qualified teacher with a MA in Theatre Studies. She balances running Workie Ticket with being a mother and working for various women's organisations in the North East.

No Deaf child should be left behindOur Vision A world where Deaf, hard of hearing, deafened and DeafBlind children, young people and adults are able to live safely and without fear of abuse and exploitation. Our Mission With safeguarding at the heart of all we do, DeafKidz International aims to respond comprehensively to the protection, health, wellbeing and access to education needs of deaf children, young people and adults worldwide. Why our work is needed Deafness is the third largest disability globally with 466 million deaf people worldwide yet it remains the least resourced. The abuse and exploitation of deaf children is endemic, with deaf children three times more likely to be abused than hearing children, but safeguarding and protection networks lack the means to support deaf survivors/victims of abuse and deaf children at risk. Deaf children face barriers to accessing services and support from teachers, social workers, police workers, medical staff and the justice system, often due to the lack of deaf awareness and resources available to these professionals who are unable to effectively communicate with or support the needs of deaf children. In low-middle income countries often children are not even diagnosed as being deaf which exacerbates risk of abuse and prevents them from accessing vital support they need. DeafKidz International seeks to address the vital gaps in meeting the safeguarding and protection needs of deaf children and reducing risk and vulnerability while supporting deaf children, young people and adults to lead their fullest lives ensuring equal and rightful access to health, education and employment as their hearing peers.
