Learn to make a patchwork log cabin style cushion.&nbsp; We will create a log cabin cushion with a twist as you begin with a picture or piece of embroidery at its heart.&nbsp; During the day you will learn the basics of log cabin construction and some special hints and tips to help with using up cycled cloth and old clothing in the patchwork.&nbsp; We will also cover choosing colours to make your cushion really beautiful.
You can also make this a memory cushion as a keep sake, feel free to bring any fabric or old clothing which remind you of someone special. &nbsp;
What&#39;s included in the price?

Why Qigong and Breathwork?
Qigong is breathwork (Qi is Breath), it is an amazing way of opening and clearing the body, of making space for our healthy energy to flow. It allows us to stay relaxed and receptive without forcing or pushing. It is easy to learn and naturally attuned to your individual body and how it wants to expand, release and recharge.
Breathwork is simply bringing our conscious attention to our breath and is one of the most powerful ways we have to change our state at any given moment. The course content is delivered over seven live Zoom sessions, in a small, welcoming group with plenty of opportunities for interaction. Additionally, there will be optional (but highly recommended) assignments to complete in between the live sessions - assignments designed to get you stuck in to your creative practice in new and interesting ways.During each live session, there will be a demonstration focusing on a particular aspect of visual art - this will include various materials, subjects, and considerations such as composition, theme, mark-making, layering, and so on. We will also have a look at everyone&rsquo;s recent creations, with celebration of the triumphs and suggestions for moving forward with work-in-progress. Together we&rsquo;ll explore techniques including drawing, painting, mixed-media, paper craft, and collage, but you don&rsquo;t have to work exclusively in these media to take part - all creative disciplines are welcome.Each participant will be encouraged to deepen their explorations in whatever direction interests them most - be it a series of written reflections, sketches, collages, photographs, mixed-media pieces, or a unique, personal combination of all these.There will be an optional online discussion group for participants to stay connected and share their creations with each other between sessions. If your literary novel is something at A24 productions might turn into a movie, this is Liza&rsquo;s taste.When it comes to fantasy, she loves urban and grounded fantasy (no sci-fi please!), and is always happy to look at anything with a vampire, werewolf, witches, warlocks, fairies, and perhaps a sinister selkie or two. She is also very much looking for romantasy and is the best person at the agency to submit that too. For thrillers, send her anything set in an exotic location, high-concept, or things with a speculative twist. She loves when characters are put in situations she would never want to be in, and then they have to get out of it. Her recent favourite fiction includes:&nbsp;Notes on an Execution, Lady Macbethad, Hamnet, A Discovery of Witches, House of Earth and Blood, The Starless Sea, Piranesi, Our Wives Under the Sea, The Pisces, Such A Fun Age.When it comes to non fiction, she is looking for books that teach her something new or reframe a topic from an alternative point of view. This can include cookery, pop science, and social history.
