A standalone 10-week quilling course - 2 hours per week online with daytime and evening options - that will introduce you to the materials, tools, and techniques used in quilling and to Craft4Smiles C.I.C and our tutors.   At the end of each session you will have a lovely quilled item to show family and friends or to display on your shelf!  All materials and equipment needed will be supplied and are yours to keep. This course is helpful for those for whom English is not their native tongue as there is a lot of repetition of basic terms including numbers, colours and directions.

You’ll get an insight into how our January-start degrees are taught, how you submit work and how you can develop your skills. This course has been designed to help you feel equipped to commence your studies in January 2025, on one of our January-start degrees.

Enjoy an informative and engaging session led by the Adam Levi, our Senior Learning Technologist and all-round expert in tools for digital education. In this session, you'll gain valuable insights into navigating Canvas, our online learning platform, ensuring you feel confident in managing your coursework, accessing resources, and participating in discussions. You'll also have the opportunity to engage in an interactive workshop designed to enhance your learning experience.
As a student on one of our January-start degrees, you’ll join a truly global community of creative learners. This hybrid degree allows you to complete your first year of studies remotely by July 2025, before taking a short summer break and then continuing straight on to the second year of your chosen degree, studying in-person at our city-centre Plymouth campus, in September 2025. What is The SHARE Project?
The SHARE Project is built on a simple principle: you need to put your own oxygen mask on first!  By nurturing yourself, you’re better equipped to support your children. Through our four-week, live online workshop series, delivered via Zoom, you’ll discover practical tools to bring more calm and happiness into your daily life.
Here’s what you can expect:
Weekly Workshops:  Each week, we’ll introduce and practice a new tool designed to fit seamlessly into your life (in just a few minutes at a time, I promise!). These are not your typical “luxury spa day” suggestions — because let’s face it, who has time for that?  Instead, you’ll learn sustainable, go-to strategies that you can use anytime, anywhere, to boost your wellbeing, even in the midst of chaos.  You will also receive a mid-week email of encouragement between workshops and printables to help record and track your progress.
Ongoing Support:  In each session, we’ll review your progress, fine-tune your approach, and introduce the next tool.  
Community Connection: You’ll be part of a supportive group of fellow SEN parents and carers who understand the unique challenges you face.

We reflect on our practises and discuss our experiences of home practice. We learn about aspects of stress reduction and the neuroscience of mindfulness and complete a new practice each week. Short Flo is a 2-hour 15-minute session which includes a grounding practice and intention setting at the beginning, to bring us into our working head space. We will work in sprints of 50 minutes with a short wellbeing break (optional). We will close with a personal review and group cheerleading, ending on a high to launch you into the rest of the day. Even if you are more of an introvert, these sessions are for you, there is no pressure to talk to the group, we will use chat to share our intentions but you don't even need to do that if you'd rather not. The meeting starts with everyone sharing food and conversations. Next the group comes together in a&nbsp;<strong fr-original-style="" style="font-weight: 700; box-sizing: border-box;">circle</strong>&nbsp;so that everyone can see each other and shares what is good and new in their lives, everyone gets a turn to be listened to. &lsquo;New and Good&rsquo; breaks the habit of thinking about and acting from what&rsquo;s wrong, it is an exercise of giving and receiving attention with one another and it also provides a strong foundation of strengths from which we can think about and tackle difficulties. The group is then asked the question what do they&nbsp;<em fr-original-style="color: rgb(119, 119, 119);" style="color: rgb(119, 119, 119); box-sizing: border-box;">want</em>,&nbsp;<em fr-original-style="color: rgb(119, 119, 119);" style="color: rgb(119, 119, 119); box-sizing: border-box;">need&nbsp;</em>or&nbsp;<em fr-original-style="color: rgb(119, 119, 119);" style="color: rgb(119, 119, 119); box-sizing: border-box;">have to offer</em>.</p>

They provide a safe forum in which people can meet and friendships can start, a natural reservoir of people and relationships where people can be invited to offer their time and capacity.</p>
