EFQM Certified Model Foundation Course The EFQM Foundation course will help you to benchmark and improve the performance of every organisation by using the new EFQM Model and RADAR diagnostic tool, version 2025! This is a two-day online course, delivered via a mix of work-rooms, presentations, videos, and one-to-one support. This course is credited as part of the admission to the EFQM Assessor, Performance Improvement Practitioner or Excellence Practitioner courses. Who is the EFQM Certified Model Foundation course for? This is the essential course for anyone who wants to find out about the EFQM Model and RADAR and how these tools can benefit an organisation. This course is suitable for anyone who wants to understand the new EFQM Model and how it can be used to make their organisation more effective. Whilst this training is effective as a stand-alone course, it is also a pre-requisite for anyone considering one of the EFQM qualification routes as a way of progressing their management development and career. Live via Zoom. Fortnightly - 1/15/29 Oct, 12/26 Nov, 10 Dec - 6-8pm UK time Join artist Julie Galante for this course designed to nurture your creative practice. Together we’ll explore ways to create work that reflects your individual interests, passion, and point of view, no matter your experience level. The course content is delivered over six live Zoom sessions, in a small, welcoming group with plenty of opportunities for interaction. Additionally, there will be optional (but highly recommended) assignments to complete in between the live sessions - assignments designed to get you stuck in to your creative practice in new and interesting ways. During each live session, there will be a demonstration focusing on a particular aspect of visual art - this will include various materials, subjects, and considerations such as composition, theme, mark-making, layering, and so on. We will also have a look at everyone’s recent creations, with celebration of the triumphs and suggestions for moving forward with work-in-progress. Together we’ll explore techniques including drawing, painting, mixed-media, and collage, but you don’t have to work exclusively in these media to take part - all creative disciplines are welcome. Each participant will be encouraged to deepen their explorations in whatever direction interests them most - be it a series of drawings, written reflections, sketches, collages, photographs, mixed-media pieces, or a unique, personal combination of all these. There will be an optional Facebook group for participants to stay connected and share their creations with each other between sessions. There will also be discounts available for other workshops and one-to-one mentoring. 

LOOKING FOR: PICTURE BOOKS, MG, YA Clare Wallace joined the Darley Anderson Agency in January 2011 and is building both the Darley Anderson Children’s Agency and the Darley Anderson Illustration Agency lists. As chief talent-spotter, Clare loves to discover memorable new characters, bold and unique voices, strong concepts and gripping storytelling. She represents picture books, middle-grade, teenage and YA. Clare is particularly looking for funny chapter books for younger readers at the moment, as well as contemporary MG, YA fantasy, romance, and rom coms, especially with underrepresented protagonists. Whatever the age range, Clare loves a big hook, a lot of heart, and a standout voice. For picture books she has the widest taste, from daft to lyrical, rhyming to prose. If your submission doesn’t fit a description here, it doesn’t mean Clare doesn’t want to receive it. She often doesn’t know what she’s looking for until she finds it (although she is not the person for steampunk or space opera). Her list gives a good indication of her taste. A standalone 10-week quilling course - 2 hours per week online with daytime and evening options - that will introduce you to the materials, tools, and techniques used in quilling and to Craft4Smiles C.I.C and our tutors. At the end of each session you will have a lovely quilled item to show family and friends or to display on your shelf! All materials and equipment needed will be supplied and are yours to keep. This course is helpful for those for whom English is not their native tongue as there is a lot of repetition of basic terms including numbers, colours and directions.

An Introduction to Medical Terminology short course delivered online via Teams, suitable for anyone wishing to learn the basics of terminology. Level One – Introduction to Medical Terminology. “It's like a light has just been switched on and I now understand more of what I'm doing!” – Feedback from attendee of Level one course. This course is aimed at anyone who requires a knowledge of medical terminology in their role. It is suitable for administrative staff, health care workers, medical secretaries, managers, Allied Health Professionals, essentially anyone who may encounter medical terminology and wishes to develop their medical terminology knowledge further. We also offer sessions to those requiring an overview of medical terminology to support applications to study medicine, veterinary medicine or dentistry.We can train between 1-30 learners from any organisation. If you have a specific training request, please speak to us and we can accommodate your needs. We recently trained a group of sign language interpreters who found the training invaluable when working in medical environments.The sessions are delivered via Teams (2x 2 hour meetings) so are highly accessible, a webcam and microphone are required although not essential.The aim of the course is for learners to develop an understanding of medical terminology in an enjoyable, interactive and informative way so that they are better able to decipher and unravel the mystery of long medical words.The course covers the following topics:- Basics of medical terminology – word building Common Roots, prefixes and suffixes Anatomy and physiology via a virtual tour of the body Major bones of the body Prescription writing and abbreviations Classification of drugs Common Abbreviations Instruments and investigations Medical Specialities and personnel Blood tests At the end of the course students will have a clear understanding of medical terminology and are encouraged to use their newly learned skills in a series of quizzes and interactive games. All attendees are given a Certificate of Attendance and a comprehensive handout. Many people who attend these courses are keen to develop their skills further and may wish to proceed to the Level Two Intermediate Award in Medical Terminology.
