Learn an ancient technique, used by the Romans. It is very low tech and wonderful items of jewellery with a professional finish can be produced in a few hours. Students make moulds in plaster or cuttlefish to their own designs, then lead free pewter is poured into the moulds using hand gravity casting. The moulds can be reused to make pendants, earrings, brooches, keyrings and fridge magnets.
During the day we will cover the main Gel Printing techniques, as well as elements of colour and composition. Youāll have ample time to experiment during the day, creating dozens of prints, as you explore colour, texture, and design while creating your own very personal and unique pieces.
