			 	<p>This course provides the delegate with the theoretical and practical skills to undertake non-licensed works with ACM's. Persons requiring this type of training would include trade operatives undertaking tasks with ACM's as defined in HSG210 and in accordance with CAR 2012 Reg 3(2). <br /><br /> In addition to the Asbestos Awareness, those employees whose work will knowingly disturb ACMs, and which is defined as non-licensable work or NNLW, should receive additional task-specific information, instruction and training. </p>  <p><span>The main subject areas of the course are:</span></p>  			<ul>   				 <li>Understand asbestos risks and dangers</li> <li>Asbestos types and uses</li> <li>Legislation</li> <li>Control measures</li> <li>How to understand specific practical tasks e.g. drilling holes through AIB, removal of asbestos cement-based products and floor tiles</li> <li>How to manage waste</li> <li>Decontamination </li>  			 			</ul>

			<h3>Who is this course suitable for?</h3>  
				<p>Any persons carrying out non-licensed works with asbestos containing materials, as laid down in CAR 2012,Reg 3(2). This would normally include, but is not limited to, trade operatives such as demolition workers, construction workers, general maintenance staff, electricians, plumbers, gas fitters, painters and decorators, joiners, shop fitters, plasterers, professionals or any other persons likely to disturb and carry out work on asbestos containing materials</p>

First Aid at Work Training - Refresher Online Course

This course has been specifically designed to meet the criteria set by the Department for Education’s EYFS Framework and fully meets Ofsted requirements. Attendees of this course will be qualified to legally administer First Aid to those aged from infancy up to 18 years of age (If you require First Aid provision for those 18 years and over, you can add the Emergency First Aid at Work top up to this course on booking).

Attendees will receive joining instructions to complete our GEM Blended Learning First Aid video training which is the first part of the Paediatric First Aid training which is to be completed before attending one of our face to face training sessions. All successful delegates from this course will be awarded a nationally recognised Ofqual regulated certificate that is valid for 3 years. All delegates from this course will also receive free access to our Annual Video Refresher Training each year, until requalification is due.

Our Blended Learning Emergency First Aid at Work course comprises of 3 hours Video Training and attending 3 hours face to face. Attendees of this course will receive joining instructions to complete our GEM Blended Learning First Aid video training presented by our own GEM trainers. This is the first part of the Emergency First Aid at Work training which is to be completed before attending one of our face to face training session. <p>The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) strongly suggests that all first aiders at the workplace refresh their first aid skills and knowledge every year to ensure they are up to date with all the current health and safety legislation at work. In an emergency, this helps them to remember steps and information quickly, without hesitation, which is crucial for administrating effective first aid.  You never know when an accident at work will occur, so having an up to date expertise to deal with it efficiently is essential to ensure the workplace complies with the approved health and safety standards.</p>
<p>The course covers everything a first responder needs to know, including primary and secondary surveys, full-body examinations, the recovery position, performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and using Automated External Defibrillators (AED).
