Cheltenham Youth Theatre

cheltenham youth theatre

Inspiring the next generation of theatre-makers. At CYT, we push tradition to one side and are renowned for making fresh, exciting, memorable physical theatre that truly celebrates the vibrant energy of our young people. We devise our own work and aim to break the mould in young people's theatre. We strongly believe that theatre is as much about the finished show, as the process it takes to get there. It's the friends you make, the challenges you overcome together, the voice you find, the creativity, passion and commitment. It's the memories that will stay with you forever and a way of working that will positively shape your future, in whichever direction you are headed. We are not your average stage school. Our theatre aims to thought-provoke and joy-evoke, exploring issues and themes relevant to young people today. Social and emotional development is at the very heart of our work, always striving to uplift, empower and inspire our performers and audiences. We have proudly taken part in National Theatre Connections eight times, performing vibrant new work at Parabola Arts Centre, Bristol Old Vic, Theatre Royal Bath and Royal & Derngate. To date, we have also performed at The Bacon Theatre's Open-Air Theatre Festival, The Wilson Art Gallery, Cheltenham Science Festival, Bristol Shakespeare Festival, the Brewery Quarter, JOLT International Theatre Festival and the Montpelier Fiesta! Not to mention enduring a Zombie Apocalypse and following the yellow brick road to Emerald City, and that's just for starters... CYT is a safe platform to express & discover who you want to be. We believe the arts should be enjoyable & accessible for all and pride ourselves on getting to know each young person individually, to nurture their ideas, talents and strengths. CYT is directed by Caroline Dean, Sam Harrison and a hub of associate theatre professionals who offer specialist master classes throughout the year.

Jess Hindley

Fallowfield

My name is Jess Hindley and I'm a Fitness, Dance Performance and Mindset Coach from Manchester in the UK. I am a Level 3 qualified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Consultant, with experience teaching both online and in-person workshops with clients from all over the world. My passion for fitness and mindset stems from my journey through the world of Irish dance where I competed for 20 years from the age of 6 to 26, then went on to perform professionally with the World-renowned show Riverdance. My dreams as a young dancer were always to become a World Champion and to perform with Riverdance. There were many times when I thought my dreams were not in reach, and it was only with the help of incredible teachers and mindset coaches that I found the confidence to believe in myself as a dancer and a person. After 19 years, I was finally crowned World Champion in 2018 and in the same year performed with Riverdance for Pope Francis at Croke Park in front of 80,000 people. Since then I retained my World title in 2019 and went on to perform with Riverdance in Singapore, Ireland and the UK before our 25th anniversary tour was interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Like many people, I found navigating the pandemic very difficult but turned to my passion for fitness for a new goal to strive for. After many cancelled practical sessions and challenges relating to Covid-19, I was so excited to qualify as a Level 3 Personal Trainer and Nutrition Consultant in early 2022. My goal is to pass on everything I've learned both through my qualifications and my many years experience in a competitive and professional dance setting. I hope I can make a difference to my clients' lives just as my teachers and mentors did for me.

Viking Construction Training

More than a Construction Company - Building the FuturevNever settle for mediocrity. It sounds simple enough, but time and time again, so many organizations fail to measure up. At Viking Construction, this philosophy permeates everything we do. The difference shows: in a growing portfolio of thoughtfully-executed projects, motivated employees and satisfied clients. Founded in 1991 on this seemingly simple – yet surprisingly complex – credo, Viking Construction has built its reputation through superior customer service and execution of the highest standards in the industry. Originally we performed the duties of a true general contractor, specializing in the construction of commercial and industrial projects as well as many government sponsored affordable housing projects. As needed, Viking Construction can comfortably suit the role of a construction manager to coordinate and supervise a wide variety of projects while overseeing specialized contractors and other personnel. We have been able to consistently deliver results that exceed our clients’ expectations. Our ability to self-perform many aspects of the construction process delivers value to our clients and sets us apart from other contractors. At Viking Construction, Inc., we believe John Donne’s words apply to business as well as people: “No business is an island; every business is a piece of the community.” We take this view seriously – and know we are only as strong as the communities where we live and work. We want the places where we do business and the people who live and work here to be strong, productive and happy. That is why we support our local community so eagerly, on so many different levels. Renaisi

renaisi

We are leaders in place-based change and experts in using learning to drive change and understand the intersecting and complex nature of social challenges. We truly care about making big ideas accessible Not only do we help others to do their work better – we are equally dedicated to bringing about change ourselves. What we do Empower people experiencing economic and social exclusion Enable organisations – from community groups and charities to local authorities – to understand and improve their impact Support funders to learn about the value and role of their investments Working with businesses to be more inclusive employers Encouraging place-based organisations and practitioners to strengthen their approaches History Renaisi was founded by Hackney Council in 1998 to regenerate deprived neighbourhoods in Hackney, East London. On becoming an independent social enterprise, we went on to deliver large-scale neighbourhood regeneration programmes like the Single Regeneration Budget, New Deal for Communities and Neighbourhood Renewal Funding. In 2011 Renaisi was part of the consortium that set up the Big Local programme. Our role managing the ‘reps’ took us beyond London and allowed us to bring together the two halves of our expertise; supporting communities and social research. Alongside that national work we delivered services in Islington, Haringey and Hackney that helped migrant communities get the most out of the local school system. While the policy and funding landscape has changed a lot in the last 20+ years, ‘place’ has remained the lens we use to consider our work. We’re constantly learning from the different perspectives we see from working directly with communities, with the providers of services and the investors in communities. It gives us a unique perspective on how systems work and how to improve places fairly.
