The Bowen Technique (Bowen Fascial Release Technique or Bowen Therapy) has been a huge passion of mine ever since i came across it in 1996. The treatment itself carries very few if at all any, contra indications; it is a treatment that is appropriate for everyone. It is a gentle hands on form of bodywork, with no manipulation of hard tissue or force applied. It has a very successful record of helping people presenting with a wide range of issues on many levels and is not restricted to just structural imbalance. The list is endless really. Hundreds of people each year use Bowen to change their health .

Grange Pavilion is a partnership project between residents’ group Grange Pavilion Project, Grangetown Community Action, Cardiff University and Cardiff Council to redevelop a previously-vacant bowls pavilion into a top quality community facility. This space will provide affordable space-for-hire, a community-focused café offering employment and training opportunities to local young people, outdoor gardening, growing opportunities and much-needed public amenities in a popular inner-city park.Between June 2016 and November 2018, residents tested projects in the old building. In that time, Grange Pavilion brought together more than 3,000 residents, was used by over 100 stakeholders, and launched 150 community-led initiatives in response to community-generated ideas resulting in over 1,000 sessions/activities on site. Projects included the Grange Pavilion Youth Forum, a Girls’ Hub, reading sessions, Friends and Neighbours meetings, NHS Mental Health Peer Support Group, a Creative Tech Café, a community Iftar, a gardening club with a local primary school, ESOL classes, a homework club, adult learners’ week activities and careers and role models’ week.

Our vision is to inspire, challenge and innovate to improve outcomes for all children but specifically the most vulnerable children and their families. We provide training courses, leadership and research opportunities and bespoke school to school support in all aspects of early years work. The Pen Green Centre was set up as part of a substantive under-fives initiative and is housed in a 1930s former comprehensive school. At the Centre we offer high quality education and care for children and their families. We also offer information and support services for parents through home visiting, group work, health interventions, adult education and training as well as the professional development, training and dissemination of good practice though the Research, Development and Training Base, and the Teaching School. The principle functions of the Centre have remained constant over the last 37 years although we have significantly developed the accommodation. We have maintained our principles of operation; withstood radical changes in local and national government; responded creatively to new legislation and to major demographic changes, and influenced national government policy in early years.

At I Love Nature we provide a variety of activities and experiences that help people build long-term relationships with the natural world. These can be play-based, like family fun days, community projects, celebrations and school activities, or research and consultancy. We also provide both onsite and offsite training for professionals who work with children (see 'Training, Research and Consultancy' section), and welcome invitations for collaborative partnerships in social and/or environmental projects. As a registered Community Interest Company (CIC No: 10598376), our profits are used to support our social and environmental aims. This means that surplus income is ploughed back into the company and is used to support activities and projects that provide a range of nature-based opportunities for marginalised groups of people. Objectives As a charity our objectives centre upon: Relieving hardship Advancing education Developing capacity and skills of socially and/or economically disadvantaged members of our local community in Barking and Dagenham and its neighbouring boroughs. Our main focus is on the support of people who have a learning/physical disability or have mental health needs or other complex issues. We do this by providing support, information, advice and guidance across a range of training programmes and other meaningful activities which help our beneficiaries to identify their needs and enable them to fulfil their potential and participate more fully in society.

In 1983 at a time of record high unemployment a group of local business leaders came together. Their vision? Create an organisation that would enable young people to develop the future skills they needed to obtain work and forge successful careers, while benefiting the community. Hello!! My name is Muge and I am the founder of My Breathing Path! I was born in Istanbul, Turkey and I lived there until 2018. I was working in the Turkish finance industry for more than 10 years and during that time I was suffering from an advanced hernia in my neck. Working in a high stress environment and dealing with lots of problems at the same time, made me a super-achiever. I first came across breathwork in a workshop in 2010. It was extremely powerful but also it was completely different to the other techniques that I had tried before. As I continued to go to the sessions, it helped me to understand my behaviour as a perfectionist and its subsequent consequences for my life, the hernia and my unbalanced relationship with my family, friends and colleagues. After experiencing healing and transformation myself, I decided to become a facilitator. Since 2014, I have been working in the field of Transformational Breath as a Certified Transformational Breath Facilitator in private sessions, workshops and seminars while I continued to work in my finance career. I have experience in working with a wide variety of people – each possessing their own set of needs and goals. My further qualifications, Basic DNA Theta Healing Practitioner and Reiki II Certification are used in conjunction with Transformational Breath sessions to help people reach their potential and achieve their goals. Life is a combination of different journeys and within my new journey in the UK, I look forward to sharing my experiences through transformational breathing sessions with others, who want to discover more about themselves with transformation in their life, increase their self-awareness and live a healthier lifestyle.
