Dunfermline High School is a six year comprehensive school with a roll of approximately 1600 pupils. Our current associate primary school community includes Canmore PS, Commercial PS, Limekilns PS, St. Leonard’s PS, Masterton PS and Pitreavie PS. In addition, we work with many families who choose to send their children here on placing requests. Within our learning community we are fully committed to providing opportunities for every pupil to achieve success, to make friends, to discover new talents and to develop new skills. We have a proud history and a magnificent building but, like every school, the experiences provided for our pupils are the most important element of our school. We strive to ensure that all young people feel safe and happy in an environment that enables them to achieve their full potential and prepares them well for life beyond school whichever path they choose to follow. In 2012 Anita founded The Positive Parenting Project, a social enterprise which aims to bring the benefits of proven evidence-based parenting strategies to as many parents (and children) as possible. Anita started her career in international development, spending four and a half years in Mongolia where she went through both of her pregnancies. (Her eldest son learnt to say ‘mummy’ in Mongolian before he said it in English!). Anita also spent time in Hungary and Kazakhstan. Anita has studied developmental psychology (child development) to postgraduate level and is an accredited Triple P® parenting coach. A leading UK parenting expert, she speaks at events across the country and delivers parenting seminars, webinars and one-to-one support. She is regularly featured as a parenting expert on TV and radio. Fascinated by children and how they develop, Anita has a talent for helping parents view their children and their own parenting strategies from different angles. She is adamant that there is no such thing as a perfect parent and says her ambition with her own children is simply not to make the same mistakes too often. After becoming a single parent, Anita changed careers. She worked as a strategic manager in a local authority children’s services for nine years, setting up and managing early intervention, targeted and specialist family support services including Sure Start Children’s Centres, parent support lines, teenage pregnancy prevention projects and intensive family support.

Founded and led by Emma Armstrong, A mother, doula and illustrator from Nottingham. Loosing her mother in 2019 to cancer whilst she was carrying her first child, Emma realised that more support and simplification needed to be given around birth, choices and informed consent. She trained as a Doula with Nurturing Birth & completed her Hypnobirthing training with Best-selling author Sophie Fletcher. The Naked Doula was born and has ever since been on a mission to revolutionise birth. To create evidence based, bite size tips and information for pregnancy, birth and postpartum so that parents can feel confident and informed on their journey! The Naked Doula represents informed choice, transparency and nakedness in the REAL delivery of information. Everyone should have the opportunity to feel excited about their birth, to celebrate it in all it’s glory. As a doula, Emma understands the importance of creating an inclusive community of which YOU can feel comfortable, connect with others & make the best decisions for you, however that may look & feel. Signposting you whilst offering a refreshing approach through fun yet informative illustrations! The Naked Doula loves to share easy ways for birth to be understood, as well as presenting solutions to every problem, capable of changing the way you see birth and making your journey a unique experience! I am a Devon based textile artist creating contemporary textile art inspired by the coast and countryside. With no formal training I took up free motion machine embroidery in 2012 and over time I have gravitated towards textile art, developing my own unique style by using organza and net to give a soft watercolour feel to my work. Working loosely from photographs, but often directly from my imagination, each piece of my work evolves as it is created. I prefer not to use a sketchbook, instead allowing my creativity to guide me as each piece develops. Colour and texture are big influences for me and where possible I prefers to source up cycled textiles for their variety and individuality. I love the idea that these materials can be given a new purpose, and can be appreciated in a totally different way for many more years to come. As well as my original artwork my range also includes digital and giclee fine art prints, greeting cards and textile art kits, all of which can be found in my Etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/shop/AlisonWhateley?ref=hdr_shop_menu I also welcome commissions of all sizes, and will work with you to get the result you are looking for. I get great pleasure from passing on my knowledge and skills to others, and run regular workshops close to my home, as well as providing talks and day workshops to groups such as the WI and embroiderers Guild.

BiG which is a credible organisation with public liability insurance has been trading since 2011 and has proved to be an inspiration to the youth empowering young people to feel more positive about themselves, and to want to succeed and enjoy developing. BiG develops and delivers a number of motivational programmes using educational and sporting activities that are focused at raising young people’s self-esteem while learning and all of BiG programmes are led by FA qualified coaches and / or professionals and are organised efficiently carrying out risk assessments and satisfying all necessary legal requirements. BiG has developed its portfolio over the last 3 years adding a number of new key programmes to help fulfil its mission, including delivering Sports Leader UK courses in schools and to young men and women. Sports Leaders UK. is a charity delivering sports leadership awards and qualifications to nearly 160,000 people a year and acts as an Awarding Organisation providing nationally recognised qualifications. It is now extending the reach of the awards and qualifications by investing directly in community delivery of sports leadership.

Welcome to The Kids' Cookery School. The Kids' Cookery School's mission is to give every child in the UK a unique and fun cooking experience in order to help them make informed choices about food and an understanding around health and diet. Started in 2000, the charity has worked with over 150,000 children, young people and families across London, many of whom may have severe physical and learning disabilities, behavioural problems or been excluded from mainstream education. Update: We are no longer operating Dear KCS Parents/Carers and Supporters It is with great sadness that we write to advise you, that we are having to give up our KCS Head Quarters here in London, Acton. There are several reasons that have influenced, this decision. The primary reason is due to the Corona virus pandemic, the charity has really struggled over the past 2 years and the various lock-downs have just compounded the problems, with The Kids Cookery School and the charity sector in general. There are several other issues that we won’t bore you with which, basically makes the premises not fit for purpose anymore. The Charity will NOT continue to operate in the previously leased premises (KCS HQ) or as a Mobile POP-UP Kitchen. Therefore, we will NOT be taking any cookery sessions for the foreseeable future
