Dr. Erica Colón is a National Board Certified Teacher with over twelve years of teaching experience in 6th-12th grade secondary science, including Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, and Marine Science. In 2008 Erica earned her Master’s in Educational Administration, but quickly realized her passion was working with science teachers. I Fell In Love With Puppetry At Age 14 When I Was Chosen To Perform A Puppet Show To The Audience Members At My Local Church And I Must Admit I Had No Idea What I Was Doing. However, The Audience Loved It. I Took Classes With An Awesome Company Called One Way UK Where I Was Taught Key Skills And Foundations Of Puppetry. How Did You Come Up With Littlecrowns Storyhouse? I Studied Acting At Stella Adler Studio In New York City. Whilst In NYC, I Was Chosen To Work On Behalf Of The Student Outreach Team That Held Regular Workshops In Schools Around New York. This Experience Led Me To Start Making Puppets And Perform Traditional Folk Stories In Local Children’s Bookshops Around New York City. How Did You Become Passionate About Childcare? In Addition To Being An Actor, I’m A Full Time Nanny And Have Worked With Children From Birth To Primary. My Motto Is To Always Enhance The Child Experience Through Play! A WONDERFUL HOUSE Having been born and brought up here I have been enormously privileged to have lived in such a wonderful house and to have so many memories of my childhood from climbing the ancient yew trees in the woods to running up the secret stairs and taking unsuspecting visitors by surprise and even washing up in the tearoom at the age of five. Our children, now, are enjoying that same experience. Over 900 years Traquair has witnessed extraordinary events in Scotland’s history and 27 monarchs have passed through its doors. In 1958, my grandfather opened a few rooms to the public for the first time (much to the fury of my grandmother) and Traquair has since welcomed over 1 million visitors. DEVOTION & GROWTH My parents devoted their lives to making Traquair the attraction it is today. My father discovered the 300 year old brewery and began brewing again in 1965. My mother set up a number of craft workshops in the grounds amongst many other initiatives. Since I have come back to live here in 1990 when my father died we have continued to grow and diversify our activities here. We offer a year round programme of events for all ages, a romantic wedding venue, accommodation in the house and hosting for corporate meeting and dinners.

We are a true multidisciplinary society largely made up from the specialties of gynaecology, dermatology, genito-urinary medicine and pathology. Our membership consists of doctors and nurses and we work closely with allied health professionals aligned to vulval disease. This multidisciplinary approach to the speciality enables excellence in clinical outcomes and workforce training. We have a strong commitment to education and training working with our medical colleges striving to achieve high quality standards of care for patients. Our membership currently stands at 288 health professionals from a variety of different specialities. The objectives of the society The relief of suffering for patients with vulval diseases The promotion of research into the cause and management of vulval diseases The practice, art and science of understanding, diagnosing and managing vulval diseases Achievements include: Hosting clinical conferences. Our annual two-day meeting was held in Salisbury in April 2018 hosted by Dr Abi Kingston. It was an excellent conference and 146 delegates attended Guidelines on Vulval pain syndromes (published British Journal of Dermatology). Contribution to the NHS Clinical Knowledge on pruritus vulvae for primary care and first contact physicians. Completed a Cochrane review on lichen sclerosus treatment. Funding and clinically supporting the James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnership to identify and prioritise the top 10 future research questions for lichen sclerosus.

I’m supportive, enthusiastic, encouraging, experienced and care that you achieve your best in each unique workout to the best of your ability. I’ll demonstrate and encourage you to take easier or more challenging options and variations of exercises and stretches so that you can get the best out of each workout and session. Human movement in general is a real interest of mine, so understanding movement patterns and how to make changes to a players motor programme are a challenge I really enjoy. OTHER INTERESTS I have always been a keen sportsman, so sadly all my other interests involve sport. I am a keen tennis player (which blends nicely with golf). I also have a passion for football, but I’m not going to bore people who I follow. I believe keeping in shape goes hand in hand with the sports I play, so I also enjoy going to the gym on a regular basis. FAVOURITE GOLF COURSE Difficult one as I have played all over the world. But for me it has to be a course close to home. Every time I go to Royal Birkdale, I know I’m playing a special golf course. A true test of golf from 1-18, there is no let up around this links. FAVOURITE GOLFER OF ALL TIME Tiger Woods, for obvious reasons. This man is the reason I play golf and also why the majority of the current top level players play golf. BEST SHOT YOU’VE EVER SEEN
