I live and work in Solihull and am married with two boys. I have an obsessive love of sewing, which has driven my career through a wide range of sewing related experiences. I came from a family of sewers and from a very early age was encouraged to be creative. My love of embroidery and needlework led me to pursue a career in teaching. I attended a specialist needlework and home economics teacher training College in Liverpool. I always enjoyed "hands on work" and gained experience working with an expert team of fitting and alteration seamstresses at an exclusive dress shop the summer I finished at Liverpool. I wanted a creative career, so I applied for the position of wardrobe assistant at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre. This was a wonderful work experience, sewing fabulous fabrics and making a diverse range of costumes. The theatre wardrobe mistress encouraged me to continue studying and I enrolled for a City and Guilds course. Although theatre working hours were long, they were flexible and I could study and work full time. I achieved merit for City and Guilds Creative Studies; two years later I received a distinction in Fashion and Design and won the year prize. My qualifications and experience opened another career opportunity in the fashion industry. I wanted to work fewer hours and the job I was offered provided training in production planning and buying. Working regular hours I decided to think again about the teaching career I had abandoned. I was employed by Birmingham Adult Education Department to work in evenings teaching Embroidery and Needlework. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching, so when I married and the family arrived I gave up full time work in industry. I returned to college, updated my teaching qualifications and became a part time teacher In the early 90's I wrote the Tailoring Programme for the West Midlands Access Foundation, later used by Open College Network. By 1996 I was determined to offer my own courses, now known as Gill Arnold Dressmaking Training. In 1997 I became Sewing World magazine's pattern specialist. Over 20 years teaching has given me a wealth of experience and knowledge to produce articles on patterns and fitting. I have also written for Sew Today and American publications. With the support of the sewing industry I enjoy being a regular exhibitor at shows all over the country including the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham. My yearly programme provides a full range of sewing events, exhibitions, seminars, cloth sales, trips and courses.

SAM GILROY IS A CHOREOGRAPHER, MENTOR, PERFORMER, PRODUCER, PODCASTER AND TEACHER. Artistic Director of Sam G Creates, Sam and is currently developing her newest comedy-dance-theatre work: The F WORDZ Show, supported with funding from Arts Council England (ACE). A Dance Artist based in the South West, Sam is passionate about developing exciting and interactive conversations, classes, workshops, and performances. Sam makes uplifting socio-political work with, by and for local communities, inspired by personal stories from people across all ages to grow connections, representation, and a sense of belonging. She collaborates with professional artists and community members aged 8-78+ to create compelling and dynamic storytelling. Sam’s work is athletic, exciting, evocative, sensitive and relevant. She also strives to build learner strategies for those with special educational needs such as dyslexia. Event days include a room draped in themed decor, action packed singing and dancing activities to brilliant music, fun drama and performance explorations, exciting games and themed crafts. Welcome to Stagecoach Glasgow North where we provide quality part-time training in the performing arts for children aged 4-18yrs. Our aim is to nurture and develop young potential through singing, acting and dance classes stretching young imaginations and building confidence. Our students take part in weekly skill building classes run by professionals from the entertainment industry - actors, directors, dancers, choreographers, singers and musical directors. Students from 6 to 18 years come for three hours per week, students from 4 – 6 years come for one and a half hours per week. For our more ambitious students there are opportunities to gain professional work in television, film and theatre. Recent professional work gained by Stagecoach Glasgow students includes CBBC’s Eve, feature films Scottish Mussell, Where Do We Go From Here, and Tide.

Mind Out Loud is a collaborative theatre company working with individuals and groups of all ages to deliver multi-disciplinary creative workshops and projects that aim to unite communities, promote mental well-being and inspire positive social change. Our aims: To facilitate drama workshops in schools focusing on well being and mental health, focusing on resilience, well being, and confidence. Working alongside communities all over the UK to facilitate creative workshops to promote unity, integration and to celebrate collective heritage. To collaborate with, like-minded organisations to positively influence youth mental health and wellbeing education in the national curriculum and to create a platform for young people to become mental health and wellbeing advocates to work within their own communities to help eradicate the stigma surrounding mental health.

Central Scotland Ballet School began life as a branch of the prestigious ‘Scottish Academy of Dance’. From humble beginnings with only 20 pupils, CSBS Principal Mrs Jacqueline Clark established 4 large branches with a roll of over 1000 pupils. Her daughters, Amanda and Samantha, have become associate directors and teachers in the school, ensuring her high standards are maintained and keeping it a family business. The School quickly established a fine reputation as one of Scotland’s leading part-time ballet schools. Students of all ages and abilities are trained to the highest levels in Classical Ballet, studying the Royal Academy of Dance ballet syllabus in a fun and friendly environment. They complement their ballet lessons with our professional tuition in commercial dance styles including Jazz, Acrobatics, Cheerleading, Tap, Commercial, Lyrical, Musical Theatre and competitive dance, as well as workshops with guest professional dance tutors. Many students enhance their training by successfully auditioning for professional Associate schemes as well as attending holiday courses at dance colleges across the UK. Annually we have students gain places at top full-time ballet schools and dance colleges across the UK. During the pandemic we ran a successful online programme with over 2500 online lessons and events… But it’s been a delight to welcome dancers back into the Studios! Adele is one of leading tap dancers in the UK. Adele trained at Tiffany Theatre School, Masters and Expressions Theatre Arts. Adele took her training further in America. Adele is a founding member of a London Based Tap Company, Old Kent Road and Andrew Nemr’s USA based company, ‘Cat’s Paying Dues’ where she performed as part of their 10th Anniversary show Off-Broadway. Old Kent Road have had a number of UK tours including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Sadlers Wells,The Bunker and 2 International tours in China. Adele was invited to join The School of Jacob Pillow - 2019 Tap Dance Programme which lead to staring in a new show in the USA, 'What is thing called Love' which premiered in New Hampshire in 2022. Adele regularly performs at the London Tap Jam and with The Michele Drees Tap Project. This includes Glastonbury Music Festival, Love Supreme Jazz Festival and a number of famous jazz venues. She represented England in the Tap Dance World Championships in Resia, Germany. Adele is passionate about the art form and is a specialist in improvisation. Adele has performed at Ronnie Scotts, 606 Club and the Vortex to name a few jazz clubs you're most likely to find her! Recently, Adele has become a special guest for the world famous Jive Aces which has led her to many West End performances. Adele appeared on BBC One as part of the Women’s FA Cup Semi Finals. Adele worked with Lionsgate Productions when releasing the DVD of LaLaLand. Adele is a choreographer for Tap Attack, Performing Arts Colleges and International Shows. Adele has taught and performed at many internationals festivals such as Stockholm, Mallorca, Poland and Germany. As a qualified ISTD teacher, Adele coaches in leading colleges and schools across the country.
