I am here as an eternal student. Yogic practices found a way into my life after graduating from Fashion Design and in want of a whole new direction. The path I’d been on until graduation felt unaligned and this new vision took me to India where I travelled and studied for 8 months. One conversation with a complete stranger early on in my travels stuck with me. I was waiting outside about to go into my first yoga class since arriving. A few of us got to chatting about why we were there. One girl said she just wanted to get her daily meditation practice back. She said, “life is just better when you meditate. I don’t know why, it just is.” Since then I have learnt many techniques and found reasons why meditation enriches anyones life who is willing to dive in but this simple and profound statement is what I come back to again and again. Life is just better. During this time I went on to complete Inteyoga 200 hour teacher training in Mysore. I then returned the following year to complete the 500 hour course. This path and solid foundation took me back to the Isle of Mull, Scotland where I grew up to start teaching Inteyoga, an integration of traditional Indian Hatha yoga practices from the Sivananda and Krishnananda lineages. Since then I have developed a strong meditation and intuition practice which led me to visit London to complete reiki levels 1&2. This has been a beautiful revelation that allows me to give distance healings using this powerful universal life force to YOU wherever you are in the world!

This gallery features our stunning Mary, Queen of Scots statue, which was the first life-size statue of her to be commissioned in Scotland. Kids (and adults) will love the hands on interactives which include make your own medicine, design your own banner, and even a smelling interactive. In this gallery visitors can learn about the Linlithgow Marches, sports and leisure, politics, education and so much more. Key objects include Tam Dalyell's typewriter, our Waldie digital interactive and the hugely impressive Scotch Brigade banners. Our flexible space for activities, talks and film screenings. Check out what’s on. The space is available for use by local groups and currently featuring a display of historic costumed dolls, and an exhibition celebrating 200 years of the Union Canal. Our dedicated team of volunteers have played a critical role in delivering an ambitious activity plan. Since moving to Tam Dalyell House, volunteers have contributed over 4,000 hours of their time. They have researched, documented, conserved and photographed the collection, conducted oral history interviews, taken part in archaeology digs, planned school sessions and developed activities for young people. We've run an animation project with St Josephs and Low Port Primary Schools. Bridgend Primary co-curated our first community exhibition. Springfield, Linlithgow and Linlithgow Bridge Primary Schools have delivered drama and song writing performances in the museum. We’ve delivered reminiscence, oral history programmes, community film showings and much, much more. Creating Awareness Plastic in our oceans is a huge environmental and health problem. Reducing plastic from our everyday lives will help reduce the need for and cost of recycling. This is important because recycling streams are not correctly managed, and many are dysfunctional. We also need to correctly dispose of our plastic and other unwanted items, choosing to reuse, repurpose or give it away. Keeping plastic out of our oceans (and our food chain) is a big issue which is why I organise beach and underwater clean ups wherever and whenever I can. I also enjoy visiting schools to give presentations that include short videos about marine life, and coral reefs. Plus, we discuss the different types of plastic, how it is affecting the environment and how we can all try to ‘Say No To Plastic’. Billericay

The site of Mayflower High school has a rich history since long before the school itself opened. First inhabited in the Iron Age, burial mounds still exist in Norsey Woods, but the town that would eventually become Billericay became important when a Roman settlement was formed following the defeat of the local Trinovante tribe. During the Saxon period a now traditional form of local government came into being. The area was then owned by King Harold's father, who is buried locally, who named the fortified settlement Burghstede. The area then passed into the ownership of William the Conqueror's half brother. When he fell out of favour, William gave the lands to the Cistercian monks. In 1381, men from Billericay joined the Peasant’s Revolt against the poll tax. The rebels were pursued by the Kings armies and a battle ensued in Norsey Woods, adjacent to the modern Mayflower site. Why a ship? Whilst Billericay had become a flourishing commercial centre during the reign of Henry VIII, religious persecution during the reign of James I of England (James VI of Scotland) led some inhabitants to embark on the famous Mayflower voyage to America. The expedition was led by Christopher Martin, born in Great Burstead who is believed to have lived in what is now known as the Old Chantry in Billericay High Street and a meeting of the ‘Pilgrim Fathers’ is said to have taken place in Billericay prior to the sailing In September 1620, the Mayflower set sail from Plymouth, a port on the southern coast of England. Nearly 40 of the passengers were Protestant Separatists (they called themselves “Saints”) who hoped to establish a new church free from religious persecution, in the so-called New World. It is the Mayflower ship that is represented on the school’s badge.

Dear Parent Culross Primary School is a small school set in the historical village of Culross. The main school building has 4 classrooms. There is a dining/gym hall, a library, a resource area and office accommodation. We opened one of our classrooms as a Confucius Classroom in February 2018 and we have one Chinese exchange teacher based here. As well as teaching across the Queen Anne High School cluster they offer immersion days for all pupils across West Fife and Queen Anne High cluster schools. We have a large playground and grassed area, which is used to its full advantage throughout the year for play, sports, outdoor learning and Eco-activities. We promote active travel to school using the WOW Travel Tracker. We follow the The Curriculum for Excellence where learning and teaching focuses on all curricular areas, ensuring balance, breadth, coherence and depth. Children have the opportunity to be taught a musical instrument from P5 onwards. We have a Support for Learning Teacher based in school to support and challenge where needed. The Parent Council is very supportive of the school and the fundraising branch supports the school through fundraising and organising fun events. A residential excursion is offered to P6/7 every year to Ardroy Outdoor Education Centre. We also offer a variety of sports in addition to the PE curriculum. We have been awarded our Silver Sports Scotland Award which we are very proud of. We run a Bikeability award every year for P5/6/7. We are also a Health Promoting School. Our pupils run a healthy tuck shop - Monday to Friday. We provide school dinners which are brought in from Camdean Primary School. All Primary 1 - Primary 5 receive free school meals. We have recently been awarded Level 1 Rights Respecting School Accreditation.
