June 2011. We take children from Ledbury Primary School and over twenty other local primary schools in Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. Introduction from the Headteacher Site and Facilities The school is situated close to the edge of the town with views over the surrounding countryside. Subject departments have well-equipped suites of teaching rooms, all with interactive touch screens and we have seven ICT suites and over three hundred computers so that computer-based facilities are always available. Our sport and leisure complex provides excellent indoor facilities together with a large, floodlit Astroturf pitch. In 2009 we opened our Student Services Centre, the first of its kind to be established in Herefordshire. The Centre sets a new standard for inclusive and supportive secondary education, bringing together all essential pastoral and academic support services under one roof. Sixth Form Our Sixth Form Centre is housed in a purpose-built, separate suite of teaching rooms, an ICT network, study room, common room and offices. We have an open entry policy with courses to suit students of all abilities and aptitudes. Numbers each year average around one hundred and twenty students and this means that class sizes can be kept relatively small. Senior Leadership Team Our Senior Leadership Team includes the Headteacher, the Deputy Headteacher, four Assistant Headteacher and the School Business Manager. Successive OFSTED reports have praised the quality of leadership and management at JMHS. The Staff Staff work well as a team and are very supportive of each other. New staff have an induction programme which is individual and matched to previous experience, skills and prior knowledge. Faculty leaders see their most important role as the support of colleagues and they are committed to helping members of their team to work as effectively as possible. Pastoral Care We have an excellent pastoral care system led by our Assistant Headteacher for Pastoral Care and expertly supported by Year Leaders and a team of form tutors. We firmly believe that each student should have key adults whose support is continuous throughout their school careers. Student Support Assistants offer excellent support to Year Leaders as well as being a contact point for both parents and students alike. All students are also allocated to a House. At the end of each academic year Houses and Year groups compete for trophies awarded for positive behaviour, high attendance, sporting achievement and participation, the learning standards, charity work and House Points. Each week students have assemblies and throughout the year take part in a series of fun and exciting challenges. We find this gives students a strong sense of identity within our school

Central Scotland Dive Club (or C-Divers for short) is one of the country’s most active and friendly diving clubs, and we welcome divers over eighteen years of age from complete beginner to advanced levels. We are based in East Kilbride, but attract members from all over Central Scotland and we dive most weekends – all year round. We operate out of two locations in Guildford, Surrey. Each pool offers different facilities and will suit different levels and needs. Fort Road Pool This pool is located at our home, it is a small pool and due to the location, we are only able to offer lessons Monday to Friday between 9:30am - 5:30pm. We only offer private 1-1 or 2-1 lessons at this pool. Our speciality at this venue is babies, toddlers and any children with any special needs or a fear of water. It is small and only one class can take place at a time. There is less distraction and due to the small classes, so we can work at your child’s pace and make them feel comfortable in an environment that they may be less fearful in. The cost of lessons at this pool are as follows: 1-1 lessons £40.00 per child per lesson 2-1 lessons £25.00 per child per lesson Boxgrove School Pool This is a great pool at a school in the heart of Guildford. The pool is 20m long and we are able to accommodate various skill levels. We start with Parent and Baby classes and go all the way through to adult fitness sessions and everything in between. We offer lessons at this pool on the following days: Monday 6:30pm - 8:30pm Thursday 6:30pm - 8:30pm Saturday 1:00pm - 5:00pm Sunday 1:00pm - 5:00pm There are various classes taking place at the same time, so we do try and accommodate families with siblings. We are normally able to get siblings in the pool at the same time so as to avoid multiple trips or long waits around the pool. The cost of lessons at this pool are as follows: 1-1 lessons £40.00 per child per lesson 2-1 lessons £25.00 per child per lesson Group classes (4 per class) £13.00 per child per lesson NB: Please note that we do invoice monthly in advance and require one month’s written notice to stop swimming for any reason. In 2022 we hosted stage 1 of the DP World Tour Q-School for the third time. The club opened in 2002 and was quickly ranked 113 in the Golf World 2006 ‘Best Courses in Great Britain and Ireland’. All the courses have been built to the finest specifications with USGA greens, fairway irrigation and a rich landscape with woodland, lakes and gorse all coming into play. The courses are designed by Adrian Stiff who also designed highly rated neighbours, Cumberwell Park and The Kendleshire. It’s flagship Codrington course, is designed to test you, thrill you and frustrate in equal measure, with the Stranahan course requiring positional play and is ideal for higher handicappers, ladies and seniors. If you like to practice in addition to a 9 hole par 3 course we have a 300 yard range with 40,000 squared metres of teeing grassed teeing area. Short game area, 4 practice putting greens and a ‘Repeater’ facility to test your repeat performance with the wedge.
