The Care Certificate is a one-day, instructor led course in a fully equipped training room. We use a mixture of training methods such as hands on activities, group discussion, games and the use of equipment / technology to cover the different learning styles of the individual. Learners will develop their knowledge, skills and understanding around the 15 care standards. Each of the 15 standards have specific learning outcomes and assessment criteria. The Care Certificate provides care staff with the fundamental skills to provide a quality, safe and effective service. The course covers manual handling of people and objects which is a full day course using equipment. Understand what is meant by the term ‘Dementia’ Different types of dementia Signs and symptoms of dementia Understand how you can support people living with dementia and the techniques / resources that can be used Understanding key legislation and policies Working in partnership and who to contact Directions Complete Care West Yorkshire Ltd. Please note that we do not provide lunch so you will have to bring your own. Please do not park in the office car park as not all spaces belong to us. Collaboration of local herbalists and forager to show you local wild herbs to support digestion. We will explore a local wild place in the morning, go back to CoExist for lunch and to make herbal medicines and ferments.

This course is intended for anyone who is working in an environment with teenagers and children where sports or dealing with sports injuries are a factor. You will examine various common sports injuries that occur in pre-teen/teenage children and identify why theseinjuries happen and how they can be avoided, as well as understanding the impact of puberty on sports injuries. The course will enable you to offer massage treatments with more of a medical focus and offer preventive and rehabilitative self help measures.
