Axcis is the leading supplier of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) staff in England and Wales. We recruit special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) staff for mainstream schools and alternative provisions across England and Wales and offer recruitment solutions for short-term, long-term and permanent vacancies. Working with the broadest range of positions, our candidates include teachers, teaching assistants, therapists and school leaders. Established in 2001, our head office is in London’s West End. We have since grown in-line with increasing demand from schools for the quality, specialist service we are able to provide. We have offices across the UK and continue to expand as more schools hear about us and express a desire to make use of our unique service. Many of our experienced team of consultants are ex-teachers or members of school support staff, so have on-the-ground knowledge of the sector. As a result, we are able to provide a recruitment package which reflects this in-depth understanding of what schools are looking for in the staff they recruit. We have always taken our responsibility to the sector seriously, and this is reflected in our professional partnerships with organisations such nasen (the National Association of Special Educational Needs). Axcis is not “just another agency” and we pride ourselves on offering a unique service which is backed up by a serious commitment to the SEND sector. During our time in partnership with these organisations, we have helped to fund numerous training and support initiatives which have helped to spread awareness and good practice. This goes a long way in demonstrating our commitment to the sector and our desire to give something back. Our client relationships are of paramount importance to us and we pride ourselves on working closely to build long-term partnerships. This is reflected in the positive feedback we receive from schools about our consultants and the service they provide, as well as feedback on the candidates we place. Our compliance process is extremely rigorous. Each applicant must undergo a full series of checks which conform to DfE requirements. Files are then re-checked as part of our quality assurance process before they are cleared to begin working in one of our client schools. We also offer an enviable professional development package, which is open to all Axcis candidates or client school staff. This includes a variety of courses over the academic year, including Team Teach, Non-Verbal Communication, Safeguarding in Education Level 2, Moving and Handling, Autism Awareness and Managing Challenging Behaviour.

weaversbazaar came out of a shared passion for tapestry weaving when Matty Smith and Lin Squires met for the first time on the 2008 West Dean College Tapestry Summer School. We had both been experimenting with art, craft and cloth weaving and loved using yarns in creative ways. As we progressed through that hot summer week, weaving and talking and talking and weaving, we not only discovered many shared life experiences but also a common sense of fulfilment in the process and outcomes of tapestry weaving. However, once away from West Dean, we faced a serious challenge - how to find high-quality yarns in just the right colours needed for the tapestries we wanted to weave. After much research, a supplier of high-twist worsted yarn was found and then a dyer who was able to match-dye from just a one-inch colour sample...and at that point, we began to think about whether this would be a product and a service that other textile artists would be interested in: weaversbazaar was launched! The products and services we offer have grown in popularity: our original range of six colours have grown to over 200.The fine 18/2 yarn we started with has been complemented by two medium-weight worsted yarns (7/2 & 9.5/2). In addition, we have extended the range of yarns offered to include both dyed and undyed Nettle, Silk and Linen. We commission the manufacture of equipment that cant be found else where and a year ago took on a studio space in which we run workshops. In doing all these things have establish relationships with diverse textile artists arounfd the world and to communicate regularly with our growing community; sharing information and news that we hope both interests and informs. And our own weaving has continued to develop. Lin and Matty are both active members of the British Tapestry Group, the American Tapestry Alliance and the Canadian Tapestry Network and relish opportunities to get together with other tapestry weavers and textile artists to share ideas. Everyone who contributes to weaversbazaar is a textile maker. Matty retired from weaversbazaar in April 2020. But we continue and Rachel Hanney has joined Lin to continue to develop weaversbazaar. Our mission remains to be the place to find quality yarns and reliable, to provide a personalised service and to facilitate creativity and especially Tapestry Weaving as a contemporary art form.

We service the south coast and further if required, delivering quality training with our trusted team of instructors. Glen Randles founded the company and is assisted by his wife Leonie and Sister Shiree who organise the logistics from the office in Romsey Hampshire. Our instructors are from a variety of the working sectors and were friend of the family long before they all became instructors. Our goal is to assist our clients with quality training and support so they feel they are in good hands every time they require our services. Our strengths come from our experience and knowledge in our own unique fields so when an instructor is allocated you will know you are getting more than just the training course. We specialise in training in marina industry as well as construction and the warehouse environment. We are based in Romsey Hampshire but we are happy to travel should our clients request it. We have a training facility just outside of Romsey, with access to a large number of plant. Give Leonie a call in the office to discuss your needs. GLEN RANDLES Glen Randles started as a steel erector/ rigger/ slinger, working across the UK and Channel Islands on construction sites to refineries, dockyards and power stations. Glen steadily progressed to a mobile crane operator then to a lift supervisor and then to appointed person organising and managing the lifting operations, operating a variety of cranes, and other plant machinery. In 2006 Glen became a NPORS instructor teaching vast array of plant machines from cranes, excavator, MEWPS and specific Marina based equipment to name a few. SHIREE RANDLES Shiree Randles worked in the hospitality and catering industry for 25 years and in that time managed public houses and hotels. Part of the task was ensuring the Health and Safety and risk assessments for all areas such as the soft play areas to the kitchens and offices were suitable and sufficient. Joining the company in 2012 Shiree opened new areas for our company to assist our clients and has become our expert on the newly revised CDM regulations 2015, and manages all CHAS application on behalf of our clients that require this service. LEONIE RANDLES Leonie Randles joined the company formally in August 2016, however has been supporting Glen Randles in the background for that last 10 years! A qualified Management Accountant by trade, with experience in Business Planning, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Analytical Skills, Transport and Logistics, and Coaching, Leonie runs the office and is the main point of contact for all our clients. Coming from the Beauty industry, Leonie appreciates the importance of great customer relationships and is dedicated to ensuring G A R Training offers the best solution for our client needs. WAYNE DAVIS Wayne Davis has over 30 years of experience as a plant machinery operator and maintenance engineer working for companies such as JCB, Oil Spill Response and CW Plant. Wayne started working with us in February 2018. Wayne became an NPORS accredited instructor in February 2019, and has a great reputation with our clients, and great feedback from their candidates on the depth of knowledge he shares on his courses. STEPHEN KEMP Steve Kemp’s career has involved working in all kinds of industries, but his specifically unique expertise are from working in demolition as well as recycling & waste site management. Steve has previously worked for companies such as Hughes and Salvidge and Raymond Brown, as well as plant hire companies. Steve is the newest member to our team, and started working with us in April 2021. Steve became an NPORS accredited instructor in July 2021, and is a fantastic addition to our instructor team! TIM PEARCE Tim Pearce has 30 years experience in the Manufacturing and Engineering industry, and is an established ITSSAR accredited instructor. Tim is one of our contracted instructors that we have had the pleasure of working with for the past few years. Tim predominantly covers training on various lift truck categories, as well as MEWPS, Overhead Cranes and Fire Marshal. Tim is always so professional and a great representative of G A R when we use his services. NEIL MCROBB Neil McRobb completed 22 years in the British Army serving in the Port & Maritime Regiment, part of the Royal Corps of Transport. He was a qualified instructor & examiner on all types of cranes, plant equipment and port operation. On leaving he re-qualified his management qualifications to their civilian equivalents and moved into the logistics industry, managing warehouses and transport operations, also being responsible for Health & Safety and Human Resources. In 2009 Neil moved back into training becoming an NPORS instructor, he joined us in May 2021 and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience on a wide variety of skills to GAR

Broomfields Youth Project (BYP) is a multi award-winning voluntary Christian youth work partnership that seeks to be a signpost and support for young people. Being part of the local community, and working in partnership with multiple agencies, BYP look to support ANY 13-17 year olds in our local community to support and signpost young people who want help with emotional and mental health needs. BYP's aim is to welcome, value and reflect the love we have been shown to the young people who come to us. We want all young people to feel like they belong and have a purpose. The 'Shack' youth centre was built to allow BYP to develop beyond our original Friday night intervention work, by creating a space where deeper relationships can encourage change. We now focus much of our resource around supporting and leading Bridgewater High with their work in the areas of mental and emotional wellbeing. Since BYP's inception in Nov 2009 the local Police stats have shown a consistent reductions in anti-social behaviour in the area.
