Word Fountain Christian Ministries (WFCM) is led by God through Pastor (Mrs) Dupe Adefala and a team of Christians as part of the universal Church. WFCM seeks to be an ark of safety for everyone and an oasis of love where men, women, youths and children are Redeemed Refreshed, Revived and Equipped to give God pleasure, build bridges in relationships and develop in the plan and purposes of God. We pay attention to the flock and commend everyone to God and the word of His grace that is able to build us up and give us an inheritance among all that are sanctified – Acts 20:28 and 32. We bring to focus the manifold inheritance (all things that pertain to life and godliness) that God has packaged for all before even the first man or woman was created! Our main thrust is as follow: Reverential worship of the living God through prayer, sound teaching of biblical principles and its application. Promoting and celebrating the richness of human diversity. Reaching out to the community with the word of faith. Fostering an environment for development of leaders and every member in the knowledge of God. We thank God Almighty for the privilege to serve Him in His glorious vineyard. SERVING THE COMMUNITY We work towards facilitating social inclusion and integration of the diverse community in Oxford. Word Fountain is a registered member of National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), Oxfordshire Council for Voluntary Organisations (OCVA) and Oxfordshire Community Champions. In addition to the spiritual input of the five-fold ministry, the need to develop and deploy internal competencies fit for successful living in the world is critical to our mission. We have organised and funded an Economic Empowerment Day with input from various organisations, Parenting Club was co-funded by the Oxfordshire County Council, Play Day 2009 funded by Oxford Play Association, Women and Sexual Health Seminar, Managing Money God’s Way with Stewardship, etc. In addition our Annual Youths/Children Day as well as Praise Night events have been vehicles for reaching and serving the wider community. We are currently working with the Horspath Residents’ Association to develop a Youth mentoring and engagement scheme for the community. We thank God Almighty for the privilege to serve Him in His glorious vineyard.

Over the past decade I have taught in a variety of different settings; inner city state, depths of the countryside, abroad and in London’s top private schools heading up the 11+ process. I have a wealth of knowledge about how children learn and have the skills to engage even the most reluctant of learners. I believe educating the future generation is a privilege. We as teachers hold the torch to inspire young minds on a daily basis. My style of teaching is based on research, experience and instinct. I am continuously reinventing the curriculum to engage every type of learner however, my deeper passion lies not just to curate minds to pass exams, but to be curious, passionate learners for life. I am dedicated to helping others find the confidence to want to chase their interests; to be able to express and communicate themselves in the demanding work place and provide your child with the emerging variety of life skills they now need. With confidence, everyone develops interest - they persevere. With a little self-belief it is amazing what we can achieve. So lets do it.

Samina means “most beautiful” and Samines is a nickname given to me from a friend. Through my own personal journey of walking out and towards freedom through healing and wholeness, I have encountered many women (including myself) who have not believed in their own beauty and worth as a woman. Women are special, unique, funny, talented and beautiful and so much more than this, women hold beauty within and without. I have the opportunity and privilege to walk beside you on your journey by creating these flowers and when I create I have you in mind. I speak love, joy and acceptance over the products and phrases such as “you are beautiful”, “you radiate beauty”, “you will step into your identity”. When you adorn these flowers I believe and have seen that you will step into your role as a beautiful woman who can hold her own in the crowd, or at meeting or any event. I have seen many of my clients skin tone and eye colouring change when they try one of my flowers on. After an 8-year career in marketing, I decided that I didn’t really want to do that any more. So, I did a part-time MSc in Nutrition, Physical Activity & Public Health at the University of Bristol, qualified as a Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor, then quit my job and started my own business (a very succinct summary making it sound way more straight forward than it was). I have the enormous privilege of living on a beautiful farm in South Oxfordshire with my husband, Andy and our “little ones”, Geoffrey (dog) and Rupert (cat). Living on the farm, I have all the space anyone could need to keep active. I never really loved the gym environment and always found the regimented, rep counting, calorie tracking, muscle building approach to exercise very unnecessary. I feel best when I’m outdoors, being active in anyway that I fancy. I love strength training, but I quickly figured out that you don’t need machines in a gym to be able to do this. You just need to lift heavy things… and there are plenty of heavy things lying around the farm.

Glenthorne High School is a thriving 11-19 mixed comprehensive Academy with 1704 pupils, of whom 350 are in the 6th Form. We are a heavily oversubscribed, highly successful school with a long and rich history in the local community. The school was founded on the Glastonbury Road site in 1933. It moved to the Sutton Common Road site in 1958. At this time, it was called Sutton Common County Secondary Girls’ School; a small girls’ school for less than 400 pupils. It changed its name to Glenthorne in 1982 and it wasn’t until 1993 that it became co-educational. In 2018, we celebrated our Diamond Jubilee on the Sutton Common Road site. I joined the school back in September 2000 and is now my pleasure and a privilege to lead the school on the next chapter of its journey. Glenthorne is a unique school of extraordinary staff and pupils and enjoys exceptional support from parents and the local community. We are proud of our history, our success and achievements and our reputation for high standards and high expectations and proud of our contribution to the local community.
