About Me I am Steve Creffield, a workshop facilitator, designer and coach. I am at my best hosting dynamic and innovative workshops in which people can discover, evolve and safely practice new approaches. I also enjoy the richness of working 1-1 with clients in a coaching capacity and as a designer. For over two decades, I have hosted workshops in Universities, the Health Sector, and NGO's in UK and worked globally with clients like the United Nations, The Palladium Group, WaterAid, and many more. The projects we work on are aligned to developing shared meaning and purpose, improving collaboration, and focus on innovative ways to move forward. My approach integrates research and insights from multiple fields and weaves them into creative workshops, coaching and bespoke solutions. Solution-focused techniques, Living Systems approaches and storytelling underpin much of what I do. My aim always is to adapt and refine this approach so that it aligns with your hopes and aspirations. Formed in April 2017, we run Elstow School, Bedford Free School and Queen’s Park Academy. We are opening a brand new secondary school, Houstone School, in September 2022. We believe very strongly in our values, which guide everything we do. Currently, I hold the position of Deputy Headteacher in an 11-16 secondary school with responsibility for curriculum development. Since being a senior leader, I have gained significant experience in leading whole school professional development and the quality assurance of the quality of education. I have been awarded a distinction in a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and in doing so have carried out research relating to curriculum and social justice. The school has been fortunate to have had a rebuild under the Building Schools for the Future that was opened fully in September 2013. In this funny old time we believe it's super important to take extra care of our kids and their families' emotional and physical health. Sun Bear Yoga combines yoga, play, fun, dance, drama, music, acro, storytelling, relaxation and mindfulness to nurture positive wellbeing and encourage community support and socialisation (team work- yay). Why is yoga good for kids? It improves concentration and co-ordination, develops body awareness, calms the racing mind and boosts self-esteem and inner confidence. Our mission is to create a space for some much needed time out, fun without distraction, giggles and to provide the opportunity for an emotional reset. We want to give kids and their families the tools to cope better with the daily stressors that come with modern family life. We believe in equality, inclusivity, tolerance, compassion and respect and these values form the foundations of our classes. All of our classes are completely secular and there will be no focus on religion. EVERYONE is welcome. We believe in spreading love and happiness to all. Kindness is our superpower! We offer classes for children 0-16y during term time and we run family yoga events out of term time. Right now our classes go up to 12y but as of September they will be available for 13-16y and we will also have dedicated classes for children with certain additional needs in Autumn 2021.
