We are an independent conference and training venue. Located in an elegant, light and spacious building created in 1869, the comfortably furnished rooms can cater for 2 to 100 delegates. Based in the heart of the North-West, conveniently located between Liverpool and Manchester and close to the M6/M62/A580. There is ample free on-site parking, dining and break areas with outdoor space available. On-site catering with our own chef means we can meet your catering needs with a range of packages. Sole use of the building and longer term use of the space is available upon enquiry. We are flexible and can tailor your next meeting or event to your specific requirements.

In 2001, when my daughter was five months old, I decided to join a local Yoga class to ‘get back in shape’ and to have a little ‘me’ time in a busy week. I was instantly hooked and as I began to reap some of yoga’s immeasurable rewards, an interest quickly blossomed into a new way of life. The fantastic teacher I had found taught the Iyengar Yoga method. Wanting a greater understanding of this method and having developed a passion to teach, I completed a highly rewarding two year teacher training program at the Manchester and District Institute of Iyengar Yoga. I qualified as an Introductory Level 2 teacher - 2010 and left my career of 27 years as a Design separation artist to teach full time; I never looked back. My training continued and in 2015 I gained my Intermediate Junior Level 1 teacher certificate. In 2018 I also gained my Introductory Junior Level 2 teachers certificate. My own professional development and training is on-going and I attend weekly teachers classes and regular further training workshops. I’m honoured and constantly inspired to have learnt from various wonderful senior teachers and visiting teachers from B.K.S. Iyengar's Ramamani Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune, India. She has been a speaker at national and local primary MFL events and has worked with The British Council, universities and local authorities in France and Spain to provide intensive language training and job shadowing opportunities for UK, Spanish and French teachers. She has also been a trainer for the Department for Education Language Improvement Programme (with CfBT). Now working as an independent language consultant, Odette continues to support schools with their MFL development, providing courses, training, workshops, INSETs and in-class support. She is currently an external tutor for the Primary PGCE General & Specialist Languages Programme at Manchester University, a member of NALA (the National Association of Language Advisers).

Coastal Child and Adult Therapeutic Services (CCATS) has extensive experience and a successful track record of providing psychological assessment and treatment services for children, young people, adults and families. We work throughout the north of England, covering a wide area including Lancashire, Manchester, Cheshire, Yorkshire and beyond. We work in partnership with many organisations including the NHS, social care, Youth Offending Teams, GPs and schools. Specialist services for looked after children are provided in partnership with carefully selected children’s residential care providers. Services have been commissioned not only by the residential care sector but also by over 30 local authorities and NHS commissioning groups from across the UK. We work with legal practices, acting in accordance with instructions from the Courts. Self-referrals are also accepted.

We deliver programmes to children in Greater Manchester and train up Climbing Instructors with therapeutic knowledge and all the tools required to deliver the Climbing Calm programme. Our three day training programme is delivered by a Doctor of Clinical Psychology, one of the UK's leading Speech and Language Therapists and one of our experienced Climbing Calm Instructors. Upon leaving the course you will receive the 'Certificate in Therapeutic Skills for Climbing Instructors', a Climbing Calm manual and a range of resources so that you can immediately begin to deliver the programme upon your return. To be eligible to enrol on this course you must be a qualified climbing instructor- either holding an SPA or CWA with more than one years post qualification experience working with children.

We therefore can develop positive transitional pathways to ensure our learners are trained to a level which enables them to confidently progress or enter into productive, meaningful and sustainable employment. Taking a person-centred approach, we aspire to produce positive outcomes for all individuals we work with, but also for employers and society, as we believe each are mutually complimentary and achievable given the right approach.
