Tumble Tots Marlow-Maidenhead-Slough

Worcestershire,

Tumble Tots is a physical play programme. We offer classes where children can develop their physical skills of balance, agility, climbing and co-ordination, whilst at the same time stimulating their imagination, and developing their language and social skills. Our sessions are structured around the different ages and stages of a child's development, from 6 months to school age. Each week we combine fun, excitement and challenge in a safe and caring environment, with our unique equipment and team of specially trained coaches. Children have an enormous amount of natural energy and with proper help and guidance it can be channelled in the right direction. We believe that if we can start children on a healthy way of life early on then it will become a habit for the rest of their lives. Exercise should be about having fun and that’s exactly what Tumble Tots provides! My name is Helen Otto and I live in High Wycombe with my husband, twin 8-year-old daughters and our 4 year old son. I took over running Tumble Tots in Marlow, Maidenhead and Bourne End in June 2017. The girls had been going to Tumble Tots in Marlow for a couple of years and loved the classes. I’d been a Tumble Tot as a child, and had also been a competitive swimmer right up until my late teenage years, so doing something in sport really appealed to me. And I love working with kids. Seeing children grow in confidence and ability week after week is so rewarding. I'm lucky enough to be surrounded by a fab team of coaches who work their socks off to make our classes fun and challenging for our tots. Our Class Leaders are Jade, Jackie, Katie and myself. And our Coaches are Sarah, Lisa and Liz.

Growing up, I always loved sport and physical exercise, I was up for any challenge, so when I had my first son I presumed I could get back to it right away. Unfortunately, at the time, despite all my physical activity, I had a lack of understanding about the way the body works and repairs itself. I tried to get back into all the activities I had done, and realised that I wasn’t able to do this without pain and discomfort. It just didn’t feel good. After the birth of my second son, I ended up needing a hernia operation. At that point my sister recommended Pilates - that is when everything changed for me. I understood why my body hurt. It was so simple: I wasn’t balanced. It was such a basic concept that I had never really been taught before in all my training. Very quickly, I was able to get back to the activities I loved with little or no pain! Inspired by this new knowledge, I started learning as much as I could. My passion grew the more I learned and I ended up training to become a Pilates Level 2 instructor on the Mat and the Reformer. I had to share what I had learnt with others. I enjoy working with everyone, from experienced practitioners to people trying Pilates for the first time. Recently I have worked with elite sports teams and, having been a high-level sportsperson myself in the past, I am realizing the true potential that there is to help people of all physical abilities make stronger connections with their bodies. The more we understand about our own bodies, the more we can work towards living the most active, healthy and pain free lives that we can.

Strength and Soul

We believe you can recover from your injury or illness despite being told otherwise. We believe when your pain is gone, you have a future full of possibility. WHY? BECAUSE WE’VE DONE IT OURSELVES BUT – It takes more than regular exercise and clean eating to be truly healthy. Taking charge of your health and lifestyle means making changes, some changes may be permanent, others are temporary. Ayurveda has a great phrase ‘like attracts like and opposites balance’ when we do too much of one thing it can lead us down the path of disease, introduce the opposite (often the things we don’t want to do) and we create balance and true health. I’m not here to count calories, make you run every day and guarantee you a six-pack. I am here to focus on your health. I won’t focus on the physical appearance but investigate what’s going on under the skin, the parts you don’t see. I investigate how your digestive system is functioning for your body to absorb the nutrients from your food and build your tissues. I look at the root cause and uncover those symptoms that may have been around for so long that it becomes normal. JOANN BUCHAN – Ayurveda Practitioner, yoga teacher, therapist. Fractured her coccyx in primary school, had hip surgery at the age of 30, lost her Mum to cancer at the age of 18 and dealt with stress, hair loss and hormone imbalances choosing the route of Ayurveda and yoga to overcome these naturally and have daily tools to cope. KEVIN BUCHAN- Injury-prone retired Rugby player, who has injured pretty much everything from head to toe. After retiring from sport, he suffered depression and a loss of identity alongside the pain that various injuries bring. Kev uses his experience in sport, injury and multiple modalities to give you the best chance of recovery. You can find more about Kev over here at RAPTOR. ARE YOU READY TO DO WHAT IT TAKES? You’re in the right place. I believe a truly healthy lifestyle should be sustainable. It shouldn’t be something you ‘get back into’ or ‘start’ it’s part of your every day, it’s part of you. JOANN BUCHAN Wife, Boss, Nature Lover Favourite Quote “Take care of your body, it’s the only place you have to live” The truth is . . . There is no one size fits or all quick fix; YOU ARE UNIQUE and have your own unique story. Your diet and lifestyle should reflect that. Are you? In physical pain – hip, lower back, joint pain? Are you doing what you perceive to be all the right things but still not feeling your best? Confused about what you should be eating? Always taking the latest supplement or health food? Overworking, over-exercising or overeating? Signs are showing up – digestive symptoms, hormonal imbalances, tiredness You’re in the right place. I’ve been there, feeling like I was making changes and doing everything I was supposed to be doing, but something was missing, I felt alone, unhappy and in pain. I had surgery on my hip at the age of 30 and expected everything to be perfect after that. Surgery would be the answer to all my pain. I was entirely unprepared for the length of the recovery, mental struggle and frustrations of not being able to do what I had previously done. I still felt so exhausted and still in pain. I discovered something unique; How often have you said, “I’m getting there”? Where are you going? There is no there. You are already there, whatever that step of the journey is for you. There will always be a next step and a next step, a different season of the environment or season in our lives. We will always need to learn to adapt, change, and grow. It’s in our nature as humans to grow and evolve. I’ve been around the world, learning from some of the most innovative thinkers, teachers and healers. Soaking up their wisdom and applying it to my injuries and imbalances as well as helping my clients. I’ve worked in my private practice for seven years as well as delivering programs in schools, corporate, taught workshops. Body Confidence Wellness

body confidence wellness

Hi, I’m Justine. Welcome to Body Confidence Wellness, where you will find Body Confidence & Wellbeing Coaching, Body Confidence Fitness, and Body Confidence Products. In 2020 we all had to make changes to the way we work, the way we live, the way we interact with family, friends, and colleagues, and we’ve all made changes to our wellbeing. Some for the positive and some less so. When reflecting on what I believe we all need right now, and when I looked to put all my previous experience together, it made absolute sense to put it all together with Body Confidence Wellness. I provide women with Body Confidence & Wellbeing Coaching packages, and a safe & fun environment to exercise together online. What’s safer and more fun than working out in the comfort of your own home? I owned and managed a Curves, Fitness for Women franchise for 5 years, and worked as a Circuit Coach in 2 other Curves franchises before that. It was at Curves that I worked with over 500 women, each one had her own unique requirements and goals. And it was there that I developed a real passion for helping women of all ages, different shapes & sizes, and varied physical abilities to reach their potential. While at Curves, I developed not only my passion for working with women on a physical health level, but I learned that we have to work on ourselves and our confidence from the inside too, on an emotional and mental health level as well! When I discovered the Institute for Body Confidence Coaching™, where I am now certified, everything fell into place! All the work I’d done previously, the love I have for the holistic body, and working with women to achieve their goals and potential. And that’s how Body Confidence Wellness came to be. Thank you for visiting the Body Confidence Wellness website. I look forward to hearing from you.
